As a 24-year-old Rwandan, I fear that this deal will compromise our hard-won autonomy and undermine our economic growth. Rather than boosting our economy or supporting local companies, I believe Britain's involvement will lead to a loss of control and autonomy, mirroring the struggles of other African countries. This deal threatens the very progress development that has made Rwanda a voice of independence in the region. I fear for the future of our country's development if we surrender to white supremacist strategies.
