I really love and appreciate the honesty of your DIY video here - including the speedbumps that you ran into along the way. My son and I just did a bookshelf door and experienced the same. There is always a solution! Great work and your door looks amazing!!!
I want to build the same thing in a smaller scale of 61cm x 122cm (24x48). My rough opening is 24.75 inches x 50 inches. I wish you had shown the hinges being attached.
Have to ask, what hinges did you use? I love that the bookcase frame completely comes out within the molding. Most of the time the molding is part of the frame
@@patmakerman I've seen those but I didn't think they would really be strong enough for a full bookshelf. By chance are you going to put the plans you use somewhere?
@@hitnrun73075 If you are afraid of the weight, then use 4 hinges instead of 2 :) I can send you the plans if you want, but i think they will not help because every Shelf/Door has an individual size.
You are honest. I like it. What a gift !

@@RagnarBlox the attachment isn't really a big deal! Just don't buy cheap hinges. After one year of usage, i also would install 4 hinges instead of 2.

Thank you :) I used heavy duty hinges. To be pricise: amzn.to/40vVc8Q
