- The scene from doctor who confidential about the doctor and his fez in episode 13 the big bang. (out of time). It seems like matt smith really likes his fez :P
I couldn't find this on youtube, so I decided to upload it.

Lol I like how Matt said out loud " I'm wearing a fez!" with excitement.

One, because it was definite that Matt would be doing a second series. And two, because it gave us a hint that the Doctor would wear a fez again in the future. That's one very good reason to watch the 50th anniversary special "The Day of the Doctor". Although didn't he wear a fez in a few mini episodes before "The Day of the Doctor"?
Of course this wasn't the first time a fez had appeared in Doctor Who. A fez first appeared on the show in the 1967 serial "The Evil of the Daleks", the 1975 serial "Pyramids of Mars" and the serial "Silver Nemesis" in 1988 (the year I was born).

Is it just me or can anyone else see the Doctor landing the TARDIS at Disney World/Disneyland, stealing a fez from a walk-around Aladdin and then jetting off?
I picture him doing the same thing except it'd be Apu. :P
Actually the interesting thing about the Fez is i'm SURE its related to Tommy Cooper but cannot be sure if thats the reason behind the fez.

Matt Smith was the first new Doctor I saw after I started watching Doctor Who. David Tennant had already been the current Doctor for two years when I became a Whovian in 2007.

Well, technically, he did! Due to a small continuity error when the two Elizabeth's run up to to kiss Ten you can see Smith's hair sticking out

Epic win. It's the first time one of his Companions actually did something about the Doctor's nonexistant fashion sense. Peri did complain a lot, but never actually DID anything against it, and neither did Rose tough she seemed to have more of a problem with Nine's simple jumpers than she had with Ten's crazy suit/coat/trainers monster. Amy and River moving as a single unit is also impossibly funny as well as Rory's expression XD

The Fez is referencing the 7th Doctor wearing the same in the episode "Silver Nemesis". The Doctor and Ace are in the basement of Windsor Castle. He's wearing the Fez as he wanders around, goes behind some bric-a-brac and then you see Ace wearing the Fez.

@Kerriangel Well, I seem to remember an interview with Matt Smith, in which he told that he had read the first page of the script of the Christmas episode. His first reaction was: "Thank you, Stephen!"
And Stephen Moffat said he was laughing madly when he wrote the Christmas episode. Maybe Stephen has given Matt a new fez, and was he thinking about the possible reactions of the cast & crew when he was laughing... At least I hope so! :-D
They should make an episode where the doctor is running from an enemy and he notices a fez and tries to go for it back cant. And later he while he's in the tardis he goes. "I wonder if its still there" "what is doctor" "the fez" and they go back to see and its gone.
