শিবরাম চক্রবর্তী বাংলা সাহিত্যের অন্যতম হাস্য কৌতুক লেখক। যার পরিচয় দেওয়ার কোন অর্থ নেই কারণ তিনি একমাত্র শিবরাম চক্রবর্তী। হাসতে ভুলে গেছেন যারা তাঁদেরকেও লেখক তাঁর লেখনী দিয়ে হাসাবার উপক্রম করেছেন। আজকের গল্প পৃথিবীতে সুখ নেই।
লেখকের বোন বিনির জন্মদিনের আর বেশি দেরী নেই। প্রতি বছরের মতো এবারো সবাইকে নেমন্তন্ন করার কথা । বিনির এক বন্ধু যে লেখালেখি করে এবং জন্মদিনের দিন লেখককে সেই লেখাগুলি শুনতে হয়। যার ফলে লেখকের অনুমান উনি অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়েন। জন্মদিনের কয়েকদিন আগে থেকেই লেখক চিন্তায় অসুস্থ হতে শুরু করেন এবং শেষ পর্যন্ত জানতে পারেন সেই বান্ধবী আসবে না। কিন্তু শেষে কি লেখক ছাড়া পেলেন?
তাই শুনতে হবে বিনির জন্মদিনে।
