I'm glad they have classic mode. I remember players that reviewed MID said they got motion sickness, and others a hard time navigating through the game. Playing classic mode first is how I want to play Mystery of the seven keys.

Being able to choose between classic point and click and modern free roam modes are amazing. The characters look better than the last game too. Mentioning the two ghost cases right away was smart too. Acknowledgment of the older games. The coffee question at the start is much sneakier to me. You have to look at what is on the table. Glad Nancy caught it as I just guessed. 🤣 Edit: played a couple hours and watching Michael but I’ll have to finish tomorrow…work…adulting…ug 😂 the conversations are better than last game and Many more puzzles! I’m actually excited to replay the puzzles again. A little expensive, but fine by me as it is a well done game. Also it’s probably in his next video, but the second chance screen is back! Made my day.
Honestly, this game is a step forward for sure- just not sure it's the right direction. Maybe it's the nostalgia, but just the whole vibe of the game throws me off a bit. The clunkiness, the voices, the puzzles are all agitating my senses. Even the music! I will always love Nancy Drew and support every game, but I'll always miss THE Nancy Drew too.
The barista in me was screaming at you the whole time :) Also Americano came from WWII when American soldiers were in Italy. They found the espresso too bitter and added water to lessen the bitter taste. And yes, Americano was an insult lol.

Completely agree with you. Someone also mentioned the lack of sounds in the background. Compare the sounds in Venice to hear and there’s a world of difference. The environment feels barren.

Wow, they actually released a new game. Huh. Only 5:55 in and I have to say...the voice acting is bad. I saw some people saying Nancy sounds like AI, and I have to agree. I mean, I'm pretty sure I've heard worse, but it's still bad, and some of the other characters sound wooden and robotic, too. Definitely not off to a good start. Although since the game is in Prague, I absolutely expect some defenestration to occur.
Even the graphic of Nancy Drew series for 20 years ago is much better than the latest version. I hope Interactive will focus releasing more games instead of spend so much time to upgrading (for me, is considered as downgrading) the pc game graphic. The characters are not realistic and look like the characters from The Sims. How sad!
I’d like to see some themes like a cruise liner, Chinese zodiac, or a camping trip with the Hardy Boys! Maybe somehow incorporate a life sized doll house or miniatures? I really enjoyed legend of the crystal skull because of the eye ball collection, or last train to blue moon canyon with the dolls

im gonna say what we all thinking: they need to get back to their old graphics. these graphics aint what we grew up on and they are much, much worse than what we had years and years ago. yeah im a party pooper but u know we all thinking it!
Unfortunately I doubt that will ever happen. Idk what software was used to build the past games but this is newer tech despite looking like garbage. Also I’m pretty sure they fired a majority of the staff and now outsource a lot of the work. It just isn’t the same team anymore. It does look better than MID though so points for that

It just doesn't seem finished to me. I know we can't go back to 2000 they have to update it... But this ain't it lol

Without Lani as Nancy Drew this is not a Nancy Drew game. This is just another mystery story. Not as bad as Salem but doesn’t even come close to the first 32 games. Gosh, how I would like to see another ND game with Lani talking and without this Unity engine 3d stuff.
Well, so far I think the game looks great! I will say that having to click the note with no indicator that it does anything in order to add a contact to your phone instead of simply adding the number yourself (dialing it, that is) or auto adding it when you see it to be an oversight, I do hope they fix that. The fact that you can actually scan the QR code to be cute though. I think the coffee minigame needs to be more forgiving in terms of the coffee art fill in (I think a single line through the template should be good enough instead of having to fill in every corner (97%)). The models look a bit uncanny, especially the eyebrow bones when they change expression creeps me out for some reason but for the most part, they look great in comparison to MiS. For me, oddly enough all the people around the place make me think I can talk to them when you clearly can't, which, come to think of it, is kinda realistic lol. Puzzles and characters look great so far, I like the coffee minigame (can we go back and do it again lol). Would be nice to have ice cubes with visible water in the water jug so you know it's cold water though because I do think it's reasonable to not realize that it's water in the jug. I do think it's funny how the person who calls Nancy over puts her through a test though, it's kinda cute and it does get you to actually read the letter you get in the beginning and pay attention to it, though there's no failure state, haha.

This game is so annoying so far. I am using classic mode but it gives way too information and its just super clunky. It also took me forever to realize I have to click on Oskar's number to call him. I wasted an hour going back and forth on this annoying map. Sighhhh. Also I usually look forward to the music, but it's nothing special and it seems just like the ones for MID... The atmosphere of the texture is also really poor and feels so Minecrafty. I'm sorry, I needed somewhere to rant this early in the game lol

Okay. I was excited to play the new game, especially when I learned there's gonna be somewhat "open" world and enhanced graphics. I don't want for HER to just recreate old games bc of nostalgia, it's good that they're keeping up with game technology (revolutionary in ND games, but not in the game world). When I started playing, I was okay with face animation, with absence of background noises and no sign of life. But making coffee... I don't know who was responsible for this part, it's unplayable! In castle malloy you could see what and how much you need to add, with pictures! In Shadow at the water's edge there was a hack with hiragana - you could just draw some dots and it would be accepted! I'm making this f** coffee for 2 hours 😡 At least your walkthrough gives an idea how to pass this mini game...
I really enjoyed these videos but (not to take away from that!) could you please adjust volume of your voice please? It seemed a bit too loud at certain moments, and it actually gave me a (one minute long) headache. I'm sure other subscribers will appreciate it too. I couldn't turn my volume down because then I wouldn't hear the game. I know it's difficult to fix such things but please try to do something about it. Maybe just keep your mic away from you
What I Usually do when it come to volume I have music at like 5 voice at 8 and master at 8 and others at 6 or 7 I lower music by a lot because it can overpower the other stuff
Please notice the ad comes on about the game and I am surprised first that I can hear them and then I can read the dialog box. I watch your playthrough and it's no longer the case.

@@laurendaley2503 Considering I've never paid more than $25 for a HER game (including preorders) the $7 increase on a game following such a colossal failure of Midnight in Salem seems not very smart. Especially considering the current state of the economy. But most of the games I've bought have been on average $19.99, so that's a $12 increase on the average game price. That's not worth it IMO, and I definitely can't justify it. HER is not worth that kind of money anymore. Even if it goes on sale, I doubt I'd get it for the simple fact I probably wont even know there is a sale since I no longer even bother to see what HER is up to anymore. So yeah sucks for HER but I don't see this game making much
I think it is worth it. Much better than the last game that is still over $20. Many characters, puzzles, history, places to explore. The conversations are decent. Accents aren’t great but that is pretty normal for these games.

No task list for senior mode is how they always used to do it. It was strange to me for the short era that they had a simplified task list 🤷♀️

Whoever said “ObvIoUsLy LaTte hAs CoFfEe,” needs an attitude check. Because 1) rude and unnecessary 2)*technically* just serving milk would be correct, as latte translates to milk. Most places have just accepted that by latte, we mean cafe latte.

Okay. I was excited to play the new game, especially when I learned there's gonna be somewhat "open" world and enhanced graphics. I don't want for HER to just recreate old games bc of nostalgia, it's good that they're keeping up with game technology (revolutionary in ND games, but not in the game world).
When I started playing, I was okay with face animation, with absence of background noises and no sign of life. But making coffee... I don't know who was responsible for this part, it's unplayable! In castle malloy you could see what and how much you need to add, with pictures! In Shadow at the water's edge there was a hack with hiragana - you could just draw some dots and it would be accepted!
I'm making this f** coffee for 2 hours 😡 At least your walkthrough gives an idea how to pass this mini game...

I really enjoyed these videos but (not to take away from that!) could you please adjust volume of your voice please? It seemed a bit too loud at certain moments, and it actually gave me a (one minute long) headache. I'm sure other subscribers will appreciate it too. I couldn't turn my volume down because then I wouldn't hear the game. I know it's difficult to fix such things but please try to do something about it. Maybe just keep your mic away from you
What I Usually do when it come to volume I have music at like 5 voice at 8 and master at 8 and others at 6 or 7 I lower music by a lot because it can overpower the other stuff

Please notice the ad comes on about the game and I am surprised first that I can hear them and then I can read the dialog box. I watch your playthrough and it's no longer the case.

Love you... but i had to skip the coffee section because as a barista... it hurt me. Also, in your defenses, technically latte just means milk ans the whole term is cafe latte... but we shorten it.

It's happening to me too. Seems to be a common problem as there is a forum on the HerInteractive about it. I haven't been able to get past yet either.
It’s extremely picky. Have to be near perfect. Hopefully it will be patched soon.
@@TheBre1491 Unfortunately the problem is that the lines don't fill at all. I can pour forever and nothing shows up. I hope Herinteractive fixes it soon. They've been saying on the forum it's a graphics problem.

How do I play point and click but also move around in the area I click on?
I believe holding down right click will allow you to do that! I'm on a Mac, but I assume it's the same for PC as well
It is the same. You can right click and look around on PC as well.

Go very slow and take breaks if you need one when you are tracing.
Make it thick and fill in to all of the borders!
You have to be near perfect. It’s quite picky.

It is brand new. Usually, games brand new are always pricey. So.e games start higher than that.
@@laurendaley2503 Considering I've never paid more than $25 for a HER game (including preorders) the $7 increase on a game following such a colossal failure of Midnight in Salem seems not very smart. Especially considering the current state of the economy. But most of the games I've bought have been on average $19.99, so that's a $12 increase on the average game price. That's not worth it IMO, and I definitely can't justify it. HER is not worth that kind of money anymore. Even if it goes on sale, I doubt I'd get it for the simple fact I probably wont even know there is a sale since I no longer even bother to see what HER is up to anymore. So yeah sucks for HER but I don't see this game making much
I think it is worth it. Much better than the last game that is still over $20. Many characters, puzzles, history, places to explore. The conversations are decent. Accents aren’t great but that is pretty normal for these games.
30 dollars for a game isn’t expensive….
