Thoughts of Detransition (Why did I even bother?)

  • Some days, it's really hard to be trans.
It is a pain to deal with people's ignorance, bigotry or just not caring; It's not so much that it's hard but, rather, it hurts. It hurts when it's a slip up or when it's an accident or when you apologize and - whether it is friend, family or stranger - leads to thoughts of why did I even bother and what kind of massive mistake did I actually make?
Anyways, trying a different style with content and editing - hope you find value in it. Don't forget to like, share and subscribe!

Cold Lake, AB denizen here. And I understand the feeling that you had of wanting to escape your current city, particularly if it's not your original home. I often feel it myself even though my experience has been mostly positive here and I can't guarantee any place new will be better.

I'm trying to find the right words to express my gratitude for your videos. Although I am on tne "opposite side" of transgender, as I'm FTM, the fact that we are roughly the same age, we both transitioned later in life and that you share your feelings/thoughts/doubts/happiness/strengths/hurts (all of that and then some) is comforting to me. I always look forward to your uploads and I thank you for being so candid. Keep up the great work and keep smiling! You are beautiful!

It's hard enough to find people who care for and respect each other as it is, even without any of the elements of acceptance you have to deal with. Good for you for not only doing what you're doing because it's right for you, but also for putting yourself out there on TH-cam like this to share your message. You are a strong person. 👍👍👍

I was totally engaged in your video - only advice is that it was hard to hear everything you were saying. You got this! You do you!!! And you got a subscriber out of me! :)

Don’t give up. You’ll find your niche spot. I’ve met so many wonderful Trans people of all different types and they’re all wonderful. We all have challenges with getting clocked and we all try to develop that tough skin. We all get hurt. But for me, I’m not going to give up. I’ve been hiding for so many years, I just can’t stop now. The worrisome thing for me is that I’m looking into facial feminization which scares me but I’m considering it even though friends say no don’t do it. Regardless I am comfortable with who I am and I hope you can get there too. It won’t be easy. But next time if your in town let me know! Hugs Kiko

Can’t hear your son very much 👍 ( music helps make it Indistinguishable). Thanks for the video. Always good to learn more about people. Privilege- good topic. Glad you have support.
Honesty to yourself, I imagine, frees up a lot more energy. And the reverse - such a drain.
To me Edmonton seems more conservative when it comes to LGBTQ+.

I lived in Edmonton for 13 years and actually found it more progressive and accepting but much prefer Calgary and would never (ever) go back. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for your comment. I will always have music in my videos and am working hard to dial in the right levels for audio. Still early days for my technical skills.
