    This wasn´t meant to happen, but I am so glad it did. I was very tired that day, so we thought we´d quickly visit the Blautopf in Blaubeuren to let the dogs have a walk on our way home from the Black Forest. But when you fall asleep, things can all change while you´re dreaming... And it was like a dream to wake up in Bad Urach. So, in spite of an injured foot, I filmed as much as I could and I hope you´ll forgive me for not showing you more of this wonderful, fairytale town and surrounding area. I hope you enjoy the longer than usual vlog at the end. I obviously was very tickled by what had happened.

    In Deutschland sagt man dazu: "Unverhofft kommt oft". Ob dein Mann nun Blaubeeren oder Blaubeuren eintippt.....- der "Autopilot" ist immer auf Bad Urach eingestellt und landet dort. 😁 Netter Ort; noch nie gehört (Blaubeuren kenne ich zumindest vom Namen her). Ich habe gerade gelesen, dass du nicht nur einen Pass hast. Pass auf die Pässe auf! 🇬🇧🇩🇪👏

    • @LaureninGermany
      @LaureninGermany  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Blaubeeren 😂 !!! Ich glaube Franz hat mal in Bad Urach gespielt, und deswegen als Ziel im Gehirn gespeichert hat. Der Blautopf ist klein und fein für eine mit einer Stressfraktur aber es war alles super so. Ich gehe so bald wie möglich zu beiden Orten wieder hin! Mit beiden Pässen! Ich denke, der britische ist für das gebrochene Fuß 😂

    Don't blame Franz, he did a good job taking you to Bad Urach. Surely he knew (unconsciously) that you actually wanted to visit Bad Urach 😊. Blaubeuren of course is worth seeing, especially in summer when the blue (almost turqoise) water of the Blautopf is framed by the green leaves of the trees.

    • @LaureninGermany
      @LaureninGermany  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Exactly, my husband is always right! (Ha! Now who’s dreaming 😂) But seriously, it was perfect to go to Bad Urach and you are right, the weather needs to be more cheerful for the Blautopf. I have been myself, in the Summer, and I can’t wait to share it with people who haven’t seen it- but when the time is right, as you say!

    Wieder einmal ein tolles Video. Ist das nicht schön, wenn plötzlich in so einem schönen Städtchen wie Bad Urach landet, obwohl man dort überhaupt nicht hin wollte? Bad Urach mit dem Wasserfall ist wirklich wunderschön. Blaubeuren mit dem sagenumwobenen Blautopf ist auch sehr schön. Wir fahren oft ohne Ziel auf die Alb oder in den Schwarzwald und finden immer wieder einen schönen Ort zum anschauen. So sind wir z.B. einmal in Steinhausen auf der Alb gelandet und haben dort die angeblich "Schönste Dorfkirche der Welt" besichtigt. War nicht geplant, aber trotzdem sehr schön. Wie immer ein ganz tolles Video.

    • @LaureninGermany
      @LaureninGermany  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ich wusste gar nichts davon, wie schön es dort ist! Den Blautopf kenne ich, ja, wunderschön dort. Und das mit der Kirche in Steinhausen klingt super! Solche Perlen, per Zufall zu endecken, macht es noch süsser, finde ich! Ich will nach Steinhausen!

      Was it something to do with Luther...?

    • @Rubax52
      @Rubax52 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LaureninGermany yes and no, but rather no. In those places, there were boarding schools founded by Duke Christoph, where gifted but poor citizens of Württemberg could get free education. Those "Stift" schools were quite famous, some of them still exist, as I think that in Blaubeuren. Though, it was not completely free, it was expected that you became a
      Lutheran priest when having finished school, in those days...
