The dialogue in this episode is some of the best in the series. Morty and Summer talking in code was perfect.

I think this episode dove into fairly deep topics and it was a solid episode. It explored an inevitable future where we will have to deal with our clones and how we will deal with them and what that will look like, what the challenges that we'll face with our clones are, and in the end, autosexuality (being attracted to yourself). Sometimes this show does make me slightly uncomfortable, but in the end that's how you know it's actually taking you out of your comfort zone, and is actually improving you and expanding your brain into new waters.
Neuralex: "So now I guess, with the title of this episode, we're going to get some dual Beth action."

Exactly! This episode was also super awkward but damn, it worked so well! Because it was well written, the pacing was good, the reactions were hilarious. It had a very good flow!
@ Id say that season 5 episode is less awkward than this one since it was more making fun of morty where as this one doesnt make fun of beth as much. But this ones concept is over all more fun.
Beth's voice actress (Sarah Chalke) is a Canadian (raised in British Columbia)
She's fairly fluent in French and has mentioned on Dan Harmon's podcast (Harmontown) when they were promoting Rick & Morty before season 1's release, that a lot of her teachers were Quebecois

Man I still don’t get why everybody hates that episode so much. Sure it wasn’t the best episode, but it had all of my personal favorite jokes. Morty’s face when he finds the horse machine will never fail to make me laugh.

Maybe it's the fact that I watched it alone but I didn't cringe in the slightest. I found this episode to be incredibly funny and character-exploring at the same time. It was the exact amount of second-hand-embarassment necesarry to be great.
Meh. Space Beth was an asshole through and through and regular Beth just let it happen. The narcissism she had was insane. I wish Jerry left so he could grow on his own. In the end if people are happen then fine, but it doesn't mean I'll let go of my judgments.
All in all it's Rick & Morty, this is exactly what should be expected, I'm not upset by the episode, and the episode was decent.

Not totally sure, but from the sounds Jerry was makIng before it cut out, I think Jerry of all people, just got to live out the fantasy of having sex with hot twins (clone is close enough that it counts in my book). Because remember, in their own way, they are actually attracted to him on some level.
When he went to the other Jerry's, I thought he was going there to brag.

On a random note, I suspect that what triggered their "affair" was Rick's wine which he put away in the end. We all know he has all kinds of alien stuff, the wine may have been mixed with something "extra" for the drinkers to "party" harder.
Sarah Chalke is amazing she speaks fluent German and French, she was so hot as Elliot in Scrubs.... still is actually at 46, what a crush.
Once Space Beth left the family the first time she started becoming her own unique person, with her own memories separate from the Beth who stayed. To simplify it Beth basically slept with her twin not herself.
I had the most fun with the episode so far. Didn't feel it was that awkward but I also watched it alone.
I loved how it was focused on the characters mainly. It gave the episodes a slow chill vibe.
Imagine, Rick finally fixes portal travel, and he's just so goddamn happy to be out of *that* dimension for a second, that he just pops down a lawn chair and lays back, in the _butt_ dimension.
You know, they had to clear up the 3 people marriage someway lol

@ It's funny because i feel like that episode, despite being one of the worst, contributes to so many laughts in other episodes for me. Like when Morty remembered about Naruto with shame. Or the fact they named him Naruto.
Makes the existence of that episode worth it for me.
I think the important theme of this episode is about the importance of self-love (like literally), awkward family issues like puberty or giving the sex talk, and lastly the consequence of having some secrets lmao

Space Beth and Beth shared the Venusian wine before they fell in love. Venus is a Roman goddess who was "identified by the Romans with the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite," according to Encyclopedia Britannica. Potentially the Venusian wine is a love potion. Rick destroying the remote and thus removing access to the wine implies Rick believed it was the wine which amplified Space Beth and Beth's affection for each other, leading to them falling in love.
The whole Beth-twin thing got spoiled for me and I thought it was going to be another sperm episode. Little did I know this was going to be some of the best written episodes in the series. Incredibly funny too. I loved it.

this wasn't cringy to me. this was funny, intense, a good character analyze, and a lot of character growth. and the beths loving each other for the part they either gave up or chose to explore is pretty special. i think most of the people that don't like it are just scared of sex.

This is indeed return to the roots, last snowy holiday episode also had cuckoldry.
Here's the thing; Both Beth and Space Beth are no longer clones because the both of them are now independent and living separate and individual lives. However, they both came from the same genetic source, carrying the same blood, and both have the same father. Conclusion: What both women are engaging now is not self-love. It's twincest.
The line "Ok just eat your food....everyone eat the food....- Rick S.". I couldnt stop laughing. Call back to the Gazorpazorp episode and the family having dinner until Morty comes down and Rick goes upstairs with him. Can't wait for the awkward family table moment with Summer being upstairs.
It's so hard for some to have a conversion about this episode. Everyone wants to seem vanilla, but how vanilla are each one of us?
Also, episode one teased this at the end when Space Beth compliments Earth Beth.

Great episode. But the last scene has me a bit confused. Was it the "wine" that Rick stowed away that made them initiate the affair or what was the point of him putting it away and destroying the remote?
Pretty sure it was the wine that acted as the tipping point that allowed those two to get comfortable enough to get “closer” than normal.
