Voegelin was off as far as his assessment of Gnosticism. Gnosticism is inherently “anti-tyranny” due to their hostility toward a “creator” God and their interpretation of the “problem of evil”. Personally, I believe E. Michael Jones’ “the jewish revolutionary spirit” leads us to a better understanding of our current political ailments world wide.
