I swear this is the best ever Percy I have seen built. Ever. That dang saddle tank is so hard to get the shape right, but you have nailed it here. Beautiful mode! I look forward to what you will build next!
Ok now that would be Epic! Thomas's set could feature - Ffarquhar Station -Thomas -Annie and Clarabel -Station Props -And some tracks Percy's set could include -Elsebridge or Maron -Some Trucks -A Water Tower -Percy -And some track
I think the best part of the design is that the upper piston rod works how it does in real life. Sort of. Basically that upper piston rod is used for the secondary piston which is supposed to have steam go on one end or the other, depending on where the wheels are. So basically, when the wheels hit a point, the main piston can't push it, unless the steam traverses to the other side, in which makes the piston go backwards and pulling the wheels. So the main piston pushes and pulls the wheels, and the secondary piston controls when
God dang this is amazing. The shape, the motion , the face, like EVERYTHING! I love it! I also love the trucks! This is so cool! Nice job. Looking forward to more of these!
I love the fact he's motorised. I've done Lego RWS Narrow gauge stuff myself, but more to my own AU. I have three videos on them, the oldest has over 1.1k views which I did not expect at all
I can’t let my son see this video. Otherwise He will keep asking me why he doesn’t see this set at the LEGO store until LEGO actually sells this incredible set. One vote for LEGO IDEA! 💡
Hey, the piece count for this model is really good, it will be $20 or $30 with the wheels, frame, and motor being a little higher up, but I love the model, Mattel really needs to wake up and look at what’s going on, LEGO will totally go something like this for a set with the piece count and pricing
Thanks! I remember the pieces for the side rods were kind of expensive just because they aren't as common, but I definitely try to design cost-effective models.
@@WoodenToby It’s like LEGO did with their new lineup of speed champions sets, the single car sets are $20 and one of the 2 car pack is $30, so I will have a hard time to pick which set to get, Percy or the new speed Champions set, and I will probably go for Percy than the Speed Champions set because of my childhood of the show, and I did watch the older seasons before CGI started
I’m just assuming, is the length of the trucks wheels the same as the wheel power function if so, could you motorize the truck, or make a van and work?
Hi! I've posted my Thomas design to Rebrickable, and a parts inventory is available there: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-86049/WoodenToby/thomas-the-tank-engine/#details I haven't done that for Percy at this point, but I may in the future. I buy the pieces for my models on BrickLink.
I love your Toby! Two more questions, what track do you use and recommend? Do you have plans and or a parts list for the wagons you have built? Thank you again for all your efforts.
If you could make the whole steam team and more tracks you could recreated some episodes and stories and it would look way better than what Mattel is doing looking forward to see the others!
Hello, Lego called. *They want their Lego molder back.* But seriously, astounding video. And spectacular model. It's accurate to both RWS And the TTTE show. The color is more accurate, the lining and face is amazing and overall an fantasic model and art style. Thomas and Percy actually feel alive in these models. And so do that tracks. I can't talk about Percy without talking about the trucks. Like Percy they are accurate and have a simplistic vibe to it. Nice job once again!
I sell instructions for Percy and all my other models on Rebrickable: rebrickable.com/users/WoodenToby/mocs/ You can also email me (woodentoby@gmail.com) to purchase instructions at a 15% discount without going through Rebrickable
Hi, unfortunately I can't say I have a definite timeline right now. I'm very busy with school, and I plan to slightly tweak Percy's structure (without changing his appearance).
I haven't completely decided, but I might do tutorial videos for Percy and/or the trucks to keep things from getting slow while I'm away from home for school
I really love this, if it was a lego set I’d buy these in a heart beat, though I’d say the faces are just to bland, I’d use a photo of the face of the Thomas characters.
Maybe you can do a Lego Motorized Version of Stepney, Arthur, Diesel, Arry, Burt, Bill, Ben, Rosie, Billy, Charlie, Stanley, Stratford, Toby, Salty, Porter, Victor and Samson.
They run on the same motor, and their speeds can vary based on how smoothly their side rods are running on a given day, but Thomas is a little lighter, so generally he runs faster.

This is incredible! If you want a suggestion on which design to go through with next, I'd say Edward! He was the one that started it all!
I hope it's either Edward, James or Nia.
@@themightygallium9509 Alex is going to do something very illegal

Dude, your lego models could legitimately become real sets, these are fantastic. Can't wait to see more

This is the best Lego percy model ever
Dude if you made some instructions for all four characters I would buy them
same dude
Same
same I love Thomas and LEGO so I’d pay a price to get New Thomas lego
One word for this: STUNNING!
Tremendous masterpiece 20/10 and good
Percy looks SO awesome!

Really interested in seeing you hopefully make James or Edward eventually
Request: You should make a Lego Moterized Oliver next.
Here for you
God dang this is amazing. The shape, the motion , the face, like EVERYTHING! I love it! I also love the trucks! This is so cool! Nice job. Looking forward to more of these!
This is just elegance and a piece of art.
Nice Percy keep up the good work
Dude, this model is insane. Great work
Thanks Seth! Excited to chat more in the Discord
this looks amazing!!
i actually love the design tho its REALISTIC
Again, what can I say? This looks amazing! Please make more!
The best character
Seriously good mate you should be so proud
It looks absolutely amazing! Can you build James or Oliver?
poopii
That looks awesome!
When you were choosing other engines you chose to do James! Amazing!
When's the Sodor map due?
Wow, Amazing Job!😄
That Edward design is beyond good wow
Perfect!! You have amazing talent at making these. Keep up the good work
That is so much like the Percy I remember and a love how you made the couplings
I bet Gordon is gonna look so good!!!

U did a great job on these designs for these Thomas the tank engine and friends characters
I really want to see that Edward model built as it looks amazing
Amazing. Simply amazing. Also maybe you could build a van or brakevan, they seem like they would be easy to model
Percy is very poggers especially with the troublsome trucks
Wow that looks cool
Incredible, they are very epic
Nice trains!
LEGO needs to officially make these
This is gonna be your last Lego Percy because It looks cool
That build is amazing I may not have Lego train Wheels like those but man I wish I did
Man pls make more I’d love to see more on your channel
finally thomas has a friend by lego
Lovely!

Haha, I can relate, my younger brothers were very much the same with these Lego engines. Thanks for the comment!
Nice One
I want it 😮😮😮
Is so detailed
This model is great! Its better than the models i make!
Hey woodentoby can you make a video of how to install the circuit cubes and what parts to use?

Thomas and Percy look cool but I would love to see RWS James I just love the way RWS James looks
Please make a how to build video for percy and the troublesome trucks. I just love it
I’m just assuming, is the length of the trucks wheels the same as the wheel power function if so, could you motorize the truck, or make a van and work?
The wheels are closer together on Lego train motors, so it would look a little narrow for a truck or van. It would look better on a bogie coach.
@@WoodenToby ahh I see
You should get some trix brix track for your narrow gauge engines
You should make a brakevam if one of the engines are pulling a goods train. I think its a god idea, and also make Standard gauge coaches.
Yay
Cute little thing.
can you please do the instructions?
that is the coolest percy in lego! can you do edward?
Awesome Percy model!
Beautiful work! New to this, how does one get a list of needed pieces and where to get them? Thank you.

These Lego engines should be real Lego sets TBH
It’s funny cause I’m working on my own models of Thomas and Percy, as well as James.
If I may make a suggestion, why not do more rolling stock, like brake vans, coaches, or tankers?

Can you build a brake van?
You should create truck faces based off S1.
How do you make it?
Can you do James or Edward next?
i bought instructions. where is the parts list?
The parts lists can be accessed through the Studio digital model files or on the "Inventory" tab of each model's Rebrickable page

You could put the trucks on Lego Ideas.
Do Deisel next.
The thomas was very good but this is perfect.
just a green catipiller with red stripes here pulling some trucks
you shound build toby next

I suppose, although it's difficult to fit flat paper on the dish's rounded surface, plus I prefer not to cover up too much of the Lego part
