I hope Briton can finally obtain Thumb Ring, they can have extremely strong archers with fully upgrade of Halberdiers.

100% accuracy/faster firing with that abnormal range is not balanced at all :(

@@osrictemper4225 Maybe they might be OK if only get total extra +2 range for archers/+1 range for skirmishes when Britons have Thumb Ring
Also, Plate Barding Amor could be a consideration of remove from technology tree.
It’s fine that Infantry/Archers/Riders only two are fully upgrade (And one of two can be stronger than normal fully upgrade)

      They don't need it.
Not only having 100% accuracy with their range would be completely broken, but you also misunderstand how accuracy works.
Archers accuracy isn't consistent : the closer they are from the target, the more accurate they become. Point blank shots are always 100% accurate for this reason.
Longbows have 75% accuracy AT MAX RANGE. Thus, when they aim at a target closer than this max range (example : an arbalest trying to shoot back at them) their accuracy gets better.
To keep the example with the arbalest, when the arbalest is in range to shoot at the longbow, the longbow is at 93% accuracy, which is the same accuracy as an arbalest without thumb ring.
Thus, when it comes to archer fight, they're pretty much even with other archer types when it comes to accuracy, since they have much shorter range than the longbow, and thus need to get closer to fire back.

@@danmin3051 That would be a major nerf, as longbows would no longer outrange castles, and if they removed plate barding armor, then it would be very inaccurate, because England had lots of knights.

@@SethBennion AOE has so many inaccurate things presenting such as Chinese can’t have access to Hand Cannoneer, Bombard Cannon, Siege Engineers (You can check the origin history of Gunpowder); Ethiopians’ Castle Unique Technology of Imperial Age: Torsion Engines (it should be belonged to Greeks)…etc. In the end they’ll tell you why they set to do is for civilization balance, no logical sense.

The extra range used to matter on longbows but now it doesn't because units move so fast. Most of the units run faster than the arrow so they don't get hit by the arrow and then they close the gap into their own range so that the 12 range from longbowman doesn't mean shit without some kind of unit performing a block.

3:58 How come berserkers win by far and jaguars lose while having same pierce armour and even +2 attack?

      HP regen

    • @dirkauditore8413
      @dirkauditore8413 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Serks move faster meaning they can close the gap more easily and once they have surround the archers, change targets more quickly as well. Which just adds up over time making them more efficient in battle. Also yes HP regen plays a factor. Also the attacking speed might be slightly faster for Berserks.

HP regen + speed. Speed being the main factor

    • @NinjaSushi2

And it's not just the HP regeneration of one unit is the HP regeneration of all the units.

They lost to throwing axemen which proves that longbowmen need a buff.
