Could you please do a video on the best mobile plans for short-term tourists visiting the US? In most countries, I'd simply walk into a store of a major MNO and get a cheap prepaid plan for one month, but that doesn't seem possible here in the States, as the MNOs' prepaid variants tend to charge high activation fees of up to $35 which would greatly jack up the price for just one month. Criteria would include not needing annual payments to get a good price, able to activate in a store without needing to have a SIM shipped, and ideally costing $20 or under. Yes, I'm aware that someone could just get an eSIM plan online beforehand, but knowing what are good options is a good idea, and many Asia-Pacific phone models don't have eSIM support (I know, because I have such a model of Android phone, and neither do some iPhone variants sold in the Asia-Pacific region).

Do you have an overview of Spectrum Mobile?
i have it. its 29.99
It’s $25 for Unlimited Plus with 720p. Price goes up after a year, I believe.
My phone is on WiFi the majority of the time, so I couldn't care less about HD streaming. I'm sticking with US Mobile.
Are going to do video for the new dark star plan on att network that launch today
Wonder if it’s same prices for dark star network ? ( AT&T )
This change was made in part because of acquiring it. Having all 3 isnt a cheap thing to manage
I’ve had mint mobile for years before all my family does them I switched to Xfinity just for the device discounts I got 600 of iPhones two of them so 1200 combined but after two years I’m switching back mint mobile it’s better. 🎉😮
I'm disappointed. I was going to switch to the Unlimited Flex for $15. I don't use the hotspot. I don't care about the lower video quality. I do like that fees and taxes are included. This makes it easier to budget. I'm wondering if you select a light plan, what happens if you use up your 2 gig? Are you throttled like the Unlimited Flex Plan or get no data?
Data stops after your high-speed allotment on the Light Plan. You can purchase extra high-speed data as you need it though.
@@StetsonDoggett Thank you for the quick response, Stetson.
Great video Stetson. Could you show how the teleport feature works on a video please?
On one line can I have a unlimited plan and then on another line can I have a share data plan?
Would you recommend us mobile or cricket for 4 lines for $100
Us mobile because of the network transfer.
Surprised you haven’t done a vid on Xfinity Mobiles new plans! Great pricing on unlimited with it also being QCI 8 priority.
Make a video on Spectrum Mobile comparing Mint Mobile
I switched thanks to your videos. 🎉
Even without the multi line discount, you're still saving around 800 a year per line which is crazy
They also changed streaming to super slow 480 from 720!!!
i like how none of the plans include hd video anymore :D. excellent move. now us mobile is the same as everyone else and worse than visible
No biggie - if you want to watch 4K just get on WiFi - it's everywhere !!
@@hdtravel1Thank God I have AT&T and can laugh at the penny pinchers complaining that they can't watch 4k video on the cheapest phone plan they could find.
@@journeytree As they say, you get what you pay for 👍
@journeyfms I couldn't care less if I saw videos in 4k or not.
@@nibekus Yeah beyond 1080p on phones is pretty unnecessary imo
Us Mobile best in the game ❤ Good customer service. Also customer support Available on the phone not only chat like visible
Can you review helium mobile?
This is what I'm using as a backup service.
Can u do same type of videoa for internet and other service providers?❤
That's the downside. I pay for 50 lines. The multi-line discount was great. We had $30 per line for the top tier unlimited plan. Now it doubled. We went down to the $25 unlimited starter plan on all lines. We have 38 lines on Warp, and the rest in GSM Sim. Now that the Dark star Sim is out, I'm currently using it. It's ok but, in my areas of work(NE and TX) Warp/Verizon works amazing
Wait so I can go to US Mobile now and pay even less as in 10 dollars less then with Visible. Which I have a 35 dollar discount.
Excellent and detailed comparison! I'm excited for the launch of Teleportal.
Thank you, Max! Teleportal is now live. You can check it out now on your US Mobile online account!
I tried reading us mobile terms and how the teleports work. Can anyone else verify if the teleports work as explained in the video? (Ability to use the unlimited plans features of whatever company service you are using ex. Texting from T-Mobile from around the world)
Are you going to review Dark Star soon?
He can't until August 1st
I Was Rather Surprised To See That The Premium Unlimited Plan Price Dropped To $44...Im Currently On That Plan...
They're throttling video down to 480p I see....smh
Yes. There is an option to change it back to to 4K/720p though. This will likely become a paid add on in the future.
$17.50 a month for unlimited for someone who uses less than $10GB a month is a steal.
Just get an unlimited $25 plan somewhere and call it a day. 😀I played that game for years with the gb plans. Now I’m unlimited data with iPhone and a Google voice number also. Unlimited data and wifi networks go a long way.
I also noticed the streaming quality dropped too
Sad to see the fall of US mobile
I’d been thinking about visible for a while
Watching this video on LTE in 1080p with Visible 🤷♂️
Your Fast app speed?
I think by the time Teleportal is available as well as their Deathstar launch? This will burn Tracfone and Boost Infinite down to the ground.
Teleports are already added, and all customers can get early access to darkstar Jul. 15.
Do you know, when they are launching AT&T network, they supposed to be launching the AT&T network in two weeks I cannot wait for that the Doc network🎉
Try 3 months. Its in full beta right now, i don’t know who said 3 weeks to you
july 15
I was looking at USM and saw a $96 a year plan that included tax and fees.
Why doesn’t Tello ever get any love?
You’re right, Tello does need some more love. Their plans and service are great.
Because Tello is for old people who everything they do in their phone is text and calls. 😅
@@angelasmr8818ouch!! lol 😂 I just use Tello for secondary number for two factor authentication
And hello mobile no love either.
Screw hellow mobile worst carrier ever used
This with Unlimited Premium at 50 vs Visible + plan?
Some government intervention needs to occur with these "unlimited", but limited after x GB of data usage.
Was clear, then get lost w/ all the options again. Options for better or worse put me an atrophy.
Also US Mobile customer service is still top of the food chain compared to the torture of having to do chats for service with visible
They made everything 480p . Thats rough
I was literally about to change to Us mobile but nah
Whoa whoa whoa you missed out on highlighting the old plan had 720 new plan at 480! That blows
I talk about the video streaming change at 8:03!
480p video is trash as a standard for Wireless the minimum should be 720p for all plans no matter the cost.
It’s back to 720p on your web dashboard. Flip the switch.
