S.A. Cosby is a brilliant writer!! I am currently reading all the sinners bleed and loving it. It’s my third book I’m reading from him, I started with Razorblade tears myself 😊
“How We Named the Stars” by Andres N. Ordorica is quite a moving story. I enjoyed it and that’s all I’m saying about it for now. Biscuit is settling in nicely!
“Naughty sausage” *snork* Naheed Nenshi was the mayor of my city, and we miss him. It was lovely to see him. I laughed when he said his family used to own a motel and he was finding the bell triggering. It was a great season of Canada Reads. Loving the Biscuit content :-)
Scrap went straight on my TBR list when I read there's a scrapbooking element to the story. Now, I'm very curious to read it! 😁 Very cool to see a French-Canadian author (Catherine Leroux) on your list. I will also check out Canada Reads - thanks for sharing about this!
Razorblade Tears was my first SA Cosby was very good. I read his latest book All Sinners Bleed liked the book but deals with hard topics. I would check content warnings first. I've also pick up two novels on his backlist.
I can deal with hard topics, lol. A Little Life is one of my favourite books and I recently read In Defence of the Act on the Women’s Prize which has A LOT of difficult and uncomfortable content of all kinds.
What a haul!! I am so eager to read the new David Nicholls novel! It sounds brilliant. Your library is a bit of a mess but for all the best reasons! I love how at home Biscuit has made himself!!!
Loved The Girl With The Louding Voice, thanks for the tip on the new one. I needed some comic relief, so back to Serge and Coleman in Florida, Tim Dorsey's Tropic of Stupid.
My last order from WOB included a tatty smelly book described as ‘very good condition’. I contacted them and it was replaced with a decent copy. Not good but ok in the end.
Would absolutely love to see you do a SJP imprint reading vlog, really enjoyed ‘A Place for Us’ and would be really interested to hear your thoughts on the other books ❤
Ooh I hadn’t thought about A Place for Us as that, and I think one other, were on her previous publishing house. Hmmmm. I might head to the new one and her books of the year.
Totally agree on the spoilers, wether it be plot or level of enjoyment! Let me have my own experience and opinion first please ^^ Loved this haul, so many exciting books to choose from. And I am LONGING for an organize all that mess-video. Whenever, but you know. ASAP. The messier of a video the better.
Haha. I do those sorting the shelves videos on Patreon now (gotta pay the mortgage somehow hahaha) and a big, big, big sort is due. I don’t mind if people tell me they loved a book, without spoilers, that’s lovely - the other opinions, not so much till I’ve read the book myself.
@@SavidgeReads Good to know, might be where I’m headed then 😊 Oh of course, a rec is great! Then go pet a cat or something. Unless it’s in a video and then I can just skip that part ^^
Sounds like you need a book sleeve! I also hate when my books get battered in my bag, and a books sleeve has saved me so many heartbreaks!!! So many small shops handmake them so you can get any pattern that excites you.
Simon so glad you have razorblade tears. Start with that one I think it's the one he's most known for. Has biscuit met your other cats yet. I've also just got a new rescue cat who is ginger to how are you finding him. Wasn't sure how you got your other cats. Love the cat content too
Really it seems the latest one has had absolute raves and raves across the board. Biscuit is doing really well. He’s very, very affectionate. Quite chill. Him and Oscar seem fine. I think him and Mildred may take a little longer. Ha. Mildred and Oscar are both rescues too. Though Oscar was 3 months old and Mildred was 5 months a few months later.
If you’re looking for more Australian fiction I recommend Body Friend by Katherine Brabon - set in Melbourne and recommended by a fellow Melbournian here ☺️
Yes! I have that on my radar thanks to the Stella Prize. So pleased to hear you enjoyed it and always lovely getting recommendations of Australian books from Australia.
Enjoy TOWARD ETERNITY!!! I read THE MINISTRY OF TIME for a co-interview with Kaliane and it's pretty cool how our books kinda intersect, we both have an almost identical line even, what are the odds?
I love your channel but you can't read all those books in a month so it's just hoarding. I do understand the books you want to buy and what others give you. I'd like to know how many of each monthly hauls and how many you actually read
Is it hoarding or is it collecting books for my reading life. I don’t think you need to buy books just to be read in the next month or the next year even. Some people may and that’s grand, I don’t, each to their own right? 😉
The cover of Housemates looked stunning against your library backdrop. It’s the little things. 🩷🩵💚 (Edited)…Ooh, same with The Quitters Paradise. I’m sure SJP planned it that way. 🩷🩵💚 “Le Bisquoit” 🤣 🐈♥️
Biscuit is a star and knows it 😂
Ha. I’m trying to keep him down to earth and humble.
Biscuit, best ever book haul assistant, completely stole the show - as he should ….. 🐈❤
🧡🐈
S.A. Cosby is a brilliant writer!! I am currently reading all the sinners bleed and loving it. It’s my third book I’m reading from him, I started with Razorblade tears myself 😊
I am looking forward to reading much more of his work.
Juno Loves Legs is really really dark and amazingly written.
Oooh I like a book that’s dark in subject matter and I loved his previous book, so think I will love this.
Can't wait to follow on from girl with the louding voice 😍 I loved that book so much
I’m really looking forward to it too. So is mum, I managed to wangle her one as she loved Girl With The Louding Voice so much too.
I love Biscuit. Such a handsome boy. S A Cosby is an auto buy for me. So many great books in this video.
You’re one of the reasons that I asked for the Cosby book, you and Cindy have raved so fabulously about his books.
S. A. Cosby is wonderful. All Sinner’s Bleed is great. Usually not the genre I read but he changed my mind.
I’m sooooooo looking forward to them!
“How We Named the Stars” by Andres N. Ordorica is quite a moving story. I enjoyed it and that’s all I’m saying about it for now. Biscuit is settling in nicely!
Hahahaha thank you for your tact in that review! Ha. Biscuit seems very happy. He’s taken a shine to the library.
“Naughty sausage” *snork*
Naheed Nenshi was the mayor of my city, and we miss him. It was lovely to see him. I laughed when he said his family used to own a motel and he was finding the bell triggering. It was a great season of Canada Reads.

I would love a vlog with books about shared spaces (apartments, hotels etc)!! I love books like that with many characters inhabiting the same space.
They’re fabulous aren’t they those kind of books. I’ll have to do it at some point.
Super excited about the new Abbi Darré. I'll remember I heard it here first. In a good way!
I’m hoping it’s as good as the last one. I think it will be.
I listened to Strong Female Character last month. Fern Brady is someone I’d love to meet.
Juno Loves Legs is on my TBR
I’m looking forward to reading both.
Lots of lovely treats. I hope you enjoy everything as you get to it. 😊
Me too. Loads to look forward to. Fingers crossed they are all corkers.
The sweet little turquoise bear on the shelf got me 😭
Awww. Lol.
Natural Beauty is absolutely stunning! One of my favourite reads of the year so far
Really looking forward to getting to it in due course. Thrilled to hear a rave review from you.
omg, new Eowyn Ivey!!! And about a bear. I can’t wait!
I know. There’s some corkers coming out in 2025, though seems very odd to be reading that far ahead.
Adorable cat 🐈 Simon my cat is called Milo
Razorblade Tears is absolutely wowzers
Ooooh can’t wait.

Oooh I didn’t know about the scrapbooking element. That’s made me all the more intrigued too!
Strong Female Character is fascinating and so candid
Really, really looking forward to it. Might be doing it as a first book club pick with some of my IRL friends.
Yes! I read it last year amd loved it!

Him and Oscar have been spending quite a lot of time together in the library while I’ve been away apparently, I’m hoping they’ve tidied it up! Ha.
Fervour is one of my reads of this year so far. Stunning.
It sounded amazing when he talked about it. Thrilled to hear you thought it was a corker.
Yes yes yes!! Razorblade Tears is amazing! It’s violent but soooo good. It was my #1 book last year.
Wow. People really love that book and S A Cosby in general. I’m looking forward to giving them a whirl.
Loved The Girl With The Louding Voice, thanks for the tip on the new one. I needed some comic relief, so back to Serge and Coleman in Florida, Tim Dorsey's Tropic of Stupid.
Hope you enjoy it when you manage to get a copy, I think it’s out next month here. Maybe the one after.
Vv bookful! Gr8t. Rdg Abigail Dean's (Girl A) new book Day One. Amazingly good.
Glad you enjoyed the video.
I have been into Bookhaus and thumbed through Christ on a Bike so many times, but maybe it’s time to bite 😅 It sounds so good!
Maybe it’s time indeed.
Only half way through your haul but had to say Sceptre are killing it right now - The Ministry of Time and Fervour are exceptional!
Can’t wait to read both. Very excited to be hosting part of The Ministry of Time tour. Whoop whoop!
My last order from WOB included a tatty smelly book described as ‘very good condition’. I contacted them and it was replaced with a decent copy. Not good but ok in the end.
Oooh I didn’t even think of doing that. Mine was meant to be very good condition too but they’d even put a ‘damaged’ sticker over the damage. Ha.
Ah, you'll be in Manchester! The Blackwells is small but well stocked with a Nerro upstairs.
I’ve hosted an event there before, it’s great. And they sell McNally Editions, whoop whoop.
I added 4 to my wish list.
Oooh which ones.
@@SavidgeReads Orlanda, Hagstone, Bearstory and Bear.
Omg Biscuit reminds me so much of my old cat Boots 🐈 we lost him last September he was 19 🥰🥰🥰
Some great book recs 📚📚📚

I really enjoyed Razorblade Tears. I have not read Cosby's other books but definitely plan to.
I’m looking forward to giving him a try and hopefully becoming a huge fan! 🪭
I’m currently reading Juno Loves Legs by Karl Geary! I cannot wait to hear what you think!
I’m soooooo looking forward to that.
Strong Female Character is sooo good!!
I’m really looking forward to that one.
Sounds like you need a book sleeve! I also hate when my books get battered in my bag, and a books sleeve has saved me so many heartbreaks!!! So many small shops handmake them so you can get any pattern that excites you.
I did have a book sleeve just kept forgetting to pack my book in it and leaving it in various part of the house bookless. Hahaha.
@@SavidgeReads Oh no!!!! I leave mine in my bag and just stick a book in it as necessary
I just finished Ariadne and really enjoyed it 😊 and way to go adding to my toppling TBR 😂
Hahahaha whoops. Sorry… not that sorry. Lol.

The weather outside is quite nice in Georgia. I have been reading quite a few beach books 🏖️.
Oooh lovely!
Amazing haul
It’s quite the corker.
Enjoy TOWARD ETERNITY!!! I read THE MINISTRY OF TIME for a co-interview with Kaliane and it's pretty cool how our books kinda intersect, we both have an almost identical line even, what are the odds?
Ooooh that’s spooky. Something in your psyche’s must have been calling out to each other. Really looking forward to yours!
You always have the most fascinating books!
Speaking of queer non-fiction, have you read Bad Gays? I've heard good things about it.
I’ve got it but I haven’t read it yet.
I’m reading you are here by David nicholls
“Am I a naughty sausage? Yes, I am.”🤣
Facts are facts!
Bear is on my want to read list.
I’m really looking forward to it.
