Another way to use it would be to use the left side of the vertical day as a planned time block, and the right side as an actual work done during the blocks.

I love this, and I'm so glad that you made a video about this! I think it's so helpful just to see you look at them side by side and to hear your thoughts on what you like about both of them, and how you're hoping to use them. I completely understand your reaction to the Take A Note planner, as that was mine too ~ when it came and I saw it for the first time, I just found so many aspects of it so appealing. It's such a beautiful planner! I think as a commenter mentioned earlier, it could work really well for time blocking with some deco! it's such a hard choice because I do love the hobonichi as well and the HON. I'm sorry I'm not much help with choosing between the two ahh! I can see advantages to both: for the hobonichi A6/HON I sometimes find it easier to find a day if I'm looking back for information, since it's one day per page, and could help if you want to see if you journaled that day, but with the Take A Note especially if you're wanting to use it for time blocking it can be helpful to see more days side by side if it helps for identifying a pattern to your days or for your scheduling/time blocking. they're both such beautiful planners! 😅🥰

Your videos featuring the TAN was what made me take the leap to try it! I'm really excited about it and you really hit the nail on the head that it is such an appealing planner. I really appreciate you commenting because I was genuinely hoping that you'd see this video and let me know which one you'd pick 😆 I'm hoping to use it as you and another suggested, functional with deco. I commented on your video just before, that I got the job and I'm in need of that days side-by-side view like you said. It's a tough decision. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and I feel so embarassed that I waited so long to reply. So sorry for the delay (◞‸◟;)

The time-blocking on the left column is a neat idea ✨

Been using the a5 TAN planner this year and I'm loving it. I think the layout is enough for your time blocking and some cute decoration

That's really reassuring! I get inspired by seeing it work for people who love the TAN and I feel like it could really work for me too (≧◡≦) ♡

I decided to get the A6 TAN planner, I have rehomed my Sterling Ink planners to family members. I watched Rebeka Plans Planner Chaos video and got a good use for it. Mostly for a capture for tasks, and then carry them over. Kind of a way for me to modify the getting things done method.

Ooh thanks for the recommendation, I'll have to check her video out. I've also decided to keep my A6 TAN for work tasks and time blocking and keep it productivity/project focused ✨️

It was not Rebeka Plans, it was Ellies Corner where I got the idea,to do this in an A6. She uses an A5 but also did memory keeping in it. She also fell to the perfectionist bug in this planner and switched in April of last year. I am glad I am 90% pure functional, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy taught me that nothing is perfect, including me. The video is somewhat near the beginning of the year. Also, I think the former recommendation stuck with me because it was so emotional, and i am very empathetic.

Take a Note looks more practical for your intended purpose. It really does have a nice layout! If you're not particular with paper quality, it might be worth a try. 🙂 Personally, I'm biased with Hobonichi because I like the sound and feel of its paper. ☺

I totally agree, the layout is a nice fit for my needs. I haven't tested the Take A Note paper so I'll follow your suggestion and start there. I love the Hobonichi paper and it holds up so well that maybe it's the safer bet too. Thanks for commenting, I've needed this advice 🤗

I like the new book layout. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Is new book cover smooth? It’s hard to see.

It has a cardstock texture, it's more matte feel than glossy or slippery

It is really a hard choice 🥲I am struggling myself. I must say I prefer Hobonichi. They are just my favorite planner brand. 😊

I appreciate your thoughts and Hobonichi is my favorite too 💕 I don't know why I tempted myself from it when I've always been happy with my Hobonichis and love looking back on them 🙄 I hope your decision-making is going well, we both still have a few more months to sit on it

@@himawaristationery thank you 🙏 ☺️I hope you can find a nice use for both! I also looked at the take a note planner but I came back to Hobonichi. I went for a day free, because I have been using the Bujo method for years now. There won’t be enough pages for the whole year I guess, but I will give it a try. And I use an original for journaling . I just love how cute and how high quality the products are. 🥰
