Obviously the only point of this is to have a fight scene (not one of the show's better ones), get Stephanie's hands dirty, address her anguish over her mother's addiction, and create a rift between Duela and the team--but the more I think about it, the more obvious it becomes Duela was right, and they were wrong. You could call it a team-building exercise, but it hurt the team by making them distrust one of their star players, and making her think twice about whether she wants to be one of them.
Yes, a lot of the GCPD is dirty, but they can contact Harvey, who is running for mayor. He could use a big drug bust to boost his campaign, and he could make sure the cops don't just look the other way.
But even without them doing that--when all the punching is over, they just call the cops anyway. And the cops arrest the perps--why? If they're all that bad, they'd just help the crooks clean up the mess and leave.
Duela didn't want to see her friends die. And it was a matter of sheer luck (and good old plot armor) that none of them did.
It made absolutely no difference at all to the drug situation in Gotham, nor did it make Stephanie feel any better, since when she got home, her mother was just as addicted, and just as able to get what she wants--through prescriptions. She was never buying it on the street. That's not how opioids tend to work.
It's pretty clear in the script that we're supposed to see Duela's POV, but to question whether somebody as individualistic as her can ever be part of a team. The fact remains--she was right, they were wrong.

She's the only smart one out of the bunch. These kids are brainless to walk in on armed men who are older, taller and bigger than them. Why I laughed when she walked off. Smartest thing I saw all episode.
It's show it's not real there are playing it's going to take sometime to get the show off matter if theses get matter over time how not. I am sorry if I missed spill something here. It is batman show but it is definitely show from it. and the kids are this getting started even with them girls are hell cats and with the boys I like to see them to go out to stop crime more in the show I would hate to see anybody to go up to them girls I doing believe those girls wouldn't take anybody out we konw them girls can fight in show even batman would go out to stop crime some nights he would kids are going to have to watch out that they good get called by the police on the show again I like the show so far.
We're on three. She wanted Turner to go away with her and her mom in the last episode, and when he hesitated, she walked away. Not realizing her mother had drugged him and informed the law, so she could get the reward money.
It's asking a lot of somebody with her background and experiences to become all loyal overnight--wouldn't be very believable character development. She sees herself as a villain--she's a Joe Chill groupie in this ep. She's never aspired to be a hero. To her, the good guys are the bad guys.
And she does have a point. They aren't going to stop the Court or clear their names by doing this. The drug trade will continue. And Stephanie came within about a heartbeat of dying.
Still, Duela was ready to go fight the Mutant Gang, just because she likes to punch people--they were armed too. You can make a case that the armed ones were up with the hostages, while they were taking out the ones down below. She didn't do it out of any sense of civic duty. And of course Carrie was going to be there. Carrie and Turner are the only ones on the team who can fight on the same level as her. This time one of the team members is Steph, who has very little combat training (she was apparently in Turner's fencing class, but not as good as him). She doesn't like the odds, and she's right--but she feels oddly crestfallen when they come back victorious. Doubting her instincts. And feeling Turner's disapproval. Which is starting to matter to her.
It's a reminder that as of this time, she's only in this for herself. In a relatively short time, she'll be ready to risk herself for Turner. But for the others? That would be a really big step.

Turner saying we are team a family then Duela for sound time around walked away from them when they did her the most for fight if that was me I would not like that I wouldn't like to know way she walked away from her family like that for sound time. And the boys in show have hell cats on their hands I am talking about girls are hell cats went there drink alcohol in their show there get little mean to them saves that was not good for anybody next's time there would have been in fight. I like the show so far I hope there keep show going this like on CBS been doing to for fire Country show but it's up to the people on Gotham Knights if they what do anything like that like what CBS been doing for the show fire Country there been keeping it going and I hope there do some for Gotham Knights show this keep it going. I wouldn't like to see it keep it going Gotham Knights because it is new show it's going didn't halp to keep going and if people take time off for the summer people will lose their interest of the show and show might get canceled by CW7 and I am saying here it good happened that way.
