I think the merging glitches actually depend on the cars extras, almost every vehicle in GTA V has a list of “extras”, they are like car parts that appear randomly on the vehicle and cannot be modified at all without a mod menu, and the cars you merged with other cars work likely because the lack of extras, maybe you could even get specific mods if you get vehicles with certain extras, cars like the Stratum and other ones have a wider variety of randomized extras, I never tried merging cars before though so feel free to try this.

Note about the Mesa. You CANNOT get it through the LS Car Meet, once purchased, the roof racks and everything will be automatically added back. I bought 2 so far trying and both times it reverted back to it's original state. Things like a Yankton plate or Bennys will stay, but the merge to remove the roll cage will be gone.
Lifeguard car on the beach, just requires someone to already have one. I was in a lobby with a modder who was testing car spawns and when he spawned a lifeguard vehicle more appeared which you can actually put into your garage. Sometthing silly like $1m to buy it but you can steal them. Once you have one you can help others steal them. Bugstars van is an easy one, get someone to do the casino setup and just goto the location and you can steal several and put them in your garage. Hearse is available if you already have one, do the casino setup and after keep the hearse and drive back to the cemetry more will spawn which you can save in a garage. Gold and Silver Dubsta 2's Call a dubsta 2 from the casino (it will be black) and drive past LSC between 10am and 4pm. Its a rare spawn but a Gold or Silver one will randomly appear, you can save these worth $25k to sell. Sometimes another modded vehicle spawns you can save some but not all, modded comet is not saveable but a few cheaper hotrid type cars can be saved.
great info, but you can just buy those except the dubsta2. the cars hella showed that can be bought at least have a unique aspect to them (removed "extra" parts), these do not. you can also use a merge glitch to put performance upgrades and different wheels on the lifeguard, but that's it (not enough to say its a different/rare car). vehicles that should be added to the list are the gogo monkey blista, dune (truck), and the blazer lifeguard without the surf board or toolbox.
I am an expert at acquiring the police bike. Get 2 stars by pointing gun at store clerk and quickly hop in your car and drive to this spot 7:48 behind the ammunation and point your gun to the right at tower (away from ammunation) and the first police spawn should be the motorcycle.
Youd think years ago it wouldve been a bright idea for them to add the lost slamvan to the bikers dlc on motorsports website. But naahhh. Make it a shot in the dark win on the wheel.

To spawn you have to have a Mariachi Tornado, the day is clear (no clouds) at noon next to the Paleto Bay billboard. Then this car spawns. The Thelma and Louise event is always be the easiest way to get it.
An idea for rockstar that could make them more money would be to rework all the vehicles to have a better top end or rework the handling and other bits to make the older cars more viable and more appealing. But that would be a lot of work and knowing rockstar this would never happen or they could add more cars like added a Elantra N or Veloster N maybe you could switch between the two by doing a Benny’s upgrade. Maybe even a 2016 wrx sti. Or a Miata.

A tip on Mariachi. If you park a helicopter in front of Mariachi where it would drive off cliff before 1900 you have time to trigger mission and Mariachi is blocked from driving off cliff. Easier to steal car that way.
the lost slamvan i got from a hanger job with the lost MC i got a friend to deliver my cargo and i stole one of these vans on the spot, you can just drive it in to ls customs.
Idk about the others but I believe the police vehicles can't be stored... It sucks because I love the FIB Buffalo and GTA online is the only place it spawns

Lost slamvan to get, you start up a plane mission and you need to get the weed business location. Then do the moc glitch to put the car into it. The mission is a little hard to get.
There is a gctf way to get lost slam van me and my friend did it: You start the scout out cayo perico setup and you want to get the grape seed one then you head to the plane and there’s a 50/50 chance there’s a slamvan then you just do the gctf glitch then boom lost slamvan
If you do the recover jewelry at tequila la the slam van out front is drivable so you just need a friend to drive it into your garage however that glitch works. Saves trying to win it and saves going out to the Garpeseed mission to get it.

If someone is wanted and off road where police cars can't go, the police will get out and follow him. You can then just get in the empty cop car and drive off with it.
What's crazy is I have all of those holiday vehicles and I have the option to buy them still .. they just never went away ! Actually the station wagon I do not own but I can still buy it right now!

Update: You can now just Call Agent 14 to do a Research Boost, and one of the two random missions will have the Police Bike available to ride.

Actually if you are lucky you can get the police bike in several police stations. I normally see it in the vespucci police station.
Another way of fixing the FIB Buffalo is making sure you are in a mc club and start up caged in and you can take it into Ls customs and repair it
