- Hi everyone! Here is a little video of my process when it comes to setting up my camera and capturing my self portraits. This video was filmed in the magical Fanal Forest or Madeira, Portugal. I hope you all enjoy! 🥰
For those asking about the dress that I'm wearing in the video, here is the link to my friend Kaya's beautiful dress shop!

I am so disappointed that you are not getting views. You must deserve a million subscribers
This is SUCH a necessary video! I am getting into ethereal self-portraiture and there is so little online about how to photograph yourself in nature. Thank you!!
I enjoyed the video and the photos are amazing, but what was really news here? Most of it was basic photography know-how, except from the interval function, which I didn't know my camera has.
Beautiful!!! This is my dream! To take pictures like this in this dreamy spot!
So so beautiful! And I absolutely love seeing the realness of the process!
Thanks for showing us your process! And those trees are so beautiful as are you. :)
Thank you for sharing!! Your work is amazing ❤ Hope you can upload more content like this. As a completely amateur photographer living close to nature, I find them really inspiring to get my ass off the couch and try something new
Really inspiring stuff! I recently found myself brave enough to start taking self portraits in nature and that is thanks to you! I don't know where it will take me or what it will teach me but I'm ready and excited! So far it's been really fun and a new way for me to express my creativity and also express my feminine side which I haven't done ever to be honest ❤ lots of love and keep doing what you're doing!

That light was epic, wow
You are beautiful and amazing and so inspirational!
Jesteś przepiękna 😍
Apart from the ticks would freak me out a little. This was beautiful! And gave me some ideas too. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing, your pictures are breathtakingly beautiful. Love your proces. The cow part made me laugh out loud 😂
This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. It's hard to find people to commit to crazy photo ideas (and asking the same people over and over) so I've recently been photographing myself. It's difficult and moreso to find content on it. I stummbled across you (goldmine) and plus you do fantasy photography? It's perfect!
This comment just made me smile so big!! I’m so happy this could be helpful to you!! Welcome to the crazy fantasy self portrait photography club 😂🥰❤️
Amazing work! Thank you so much for the great advice. Beautiful content 🥰
Loved loved every single bit ❤️
I’ve been using the self timer or the remote and what a drag it’s been using both! It never occurred to me to use interval shoot!!! Wow thanks! I’m going on holiday to Spain and this will work a treat!
Beautiful photos and very helpful video! Thank you very much.
You deserve more views! Wow 🤍
That's magical, nature seems to cooperate with you in creating your art.
Also wondering how it focused so well on you when you set it to the tree trunk!
you are doing such an amazing work and the place you are at is just magical, wow, the trees, like old souls
Thank you for inspiration!❤️🙏
Thanks for taking us along for the ride I always love the insight!
Beautiful Portraits as always! 🥰
Absolutely stunning!
lol! I immediately learned something new about my camera. For me the Interval Shooting is the best way for this kind of selfies. Thank you, great pictures. Greetings from Germany :)
Super love watching your process, Lizzy! Self portraits are just the most fun! Your poses are always so good and inspiring.
That was beautiful. Thank you for sharing your creative process with us.😊
Amazing work! I love this video ❤
You are such an inspiration! The mess after seflportrait session is amazing :D And cows and donkeys are so curious always! Thank you for taking us on a journey into your magical world! Love and peace to you
Looks like a lotr spot 👍
I love this video! Thank you for sharing.
WOW THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL
Wow, thank you soooo much!!!!!! What inspiration!!!!
Sooooo perfect!! I loved this! This is my exact method but I literally just started so all my stuff is still a bit rough looking 😅
Absolutely beautifully done
Incredible and magical! And the cow!!!
Stunning! You are so inspiring!
Thankyou for sharing us this journey! I really want an ethereal themed photoshoot for my debut next year at February. This gives me lots of idea ☺️🙆🏻♀️
❤️️I really love your video and photography ❤
Thanks, I find your work and process inspiring! I just happened across you on when I was looking at "21 Influential Self Portrait Photographers" page/article. Good to see you sharing your creative process. Thanks again! Peace!!!
Wow. AMAZING
This is such a beautiful and helpful video. Thank you
What a great concept... I have been trying to do a nice serious self-portrait with the self timer and failing big time! I can't wait to try this technique!
Speechless 😮😮😮😮❤❤❤❤
New to your channel.. very inspiring and beautiful images!❤
'Nutty as a fruitcake' (as we say here in England), but very entertaining & likeable. 👍
Magic 💫
Wow wish I had a selfie stick when I was a young traveller, it would have been much more fun!
Thank you for sharing your process. Your work is amazing! I had no idea about the interval shooting function on Sony cameras! How do you make sure that the focus is sharp on you for these self-portraits? Since you're far enough back from the camera are you just placing the focus area on the tree?
Wowww, this is pretty sick! STUNNING!!
let me auto subscribe 😃
Awesome video as always! Thanks for showing us your process. I'll never get tired of your magical photos!! Also, the cow is so cute lol
Awwe, thank you so much, Aira! That means a lot to me. 🥰 Hahah, I loved the cow even when we kept getting in each other’s way 😂
Such magic you create! Not only in finding such amazing places on earth, but with your clothes, your hair and your fluid movements and poses. I aspire to take one decent selfie, but it may forever elude me. I'm going to give it a go though. I have a Sony, so now I know how to shoot consecutively without a remote. Thank you so much for sharing, your knowledge, expertise and the beauty you discover in our world.
VERY GOOD!!!
Thanks for this! And where are you? This is absolutely beautiful! (Don’t have to tell me specifically of course…I’m in Idaho!)
Great video Elizabeth - I just hope the cow made it into the frame 😃😃
Stunning!
Great video and images. Pretty sure that is a cow, like as in a female one LOL. I think I saw her female cow parts on the underside. Isn't that location amazing? I was there in April and did some IR, do you ever use that in your self-portraits? Oh by the way I found you from Renee Robyn's video, she's a friend of mine also
Your work is so impressive and it is amazing to get a glimpse into your process. I'd ask though, how do you go about finding these locations and making sure that you are in the right place during spectacular conditions?
I've been camping and hiking the Canadian Rockies and wilderness for 30+ years and while locations are often spectacular the conditions you seem to find frequently are extremely rare. (dense fog, god rays, vivid sunsets, etc). Do you employ strategies to increase your odds of perfect conditions? Or do you just return to the same location over and over and over until the perfect conditions arise? Most of the time when I say climb out of my tent at the break of dawn, its either just a typical overcast day or a clear unremarkable sky. I'm still awash with love for being able to experience it, but what you capture seems otherworldly and isn't something I've encountered more than once or twice in the wild.
A very enjoyable video. After thinking a bit. Maybe more of these videos could be compiled onto a documentary of your work.
Elizabeth, great video. My only question is since you are shooting at 1.2 when you focused on the base of the tree and then raised it up when you’re in the picture, wouldn’t that fall off very quickly where you wouldn’t be in focus? in other words, just the tree bark might be the only thing razor sharp?
oh my gosh!!! You are so talented!!! What type of Sony Camera do you have?
Fantastic thanks a lot!
Thank you for watching, Fabiana! 🥰
@@ElizabethGaddPhotography I was waiting this video :D where did you buy your dress?
I thought i am suddenly dead ,cause i just saw a heaven
Awwwwweeee! It certainly felt like being in heaven ❤
Very interesting, new friend here.
At 32 seconds is there someone walking behind you in the wood, love your work btw love love love
Thanks Elizabeth, how do you find your locations? That forest is magical!
Thank you so much, Christy! I mostly find my locations by endless exploring and hiking and travelling. I might know a little beforehand about a general area (like Fanal Forest in Madeira), and then I spend a few days or weeks exploring that area to find all the potential photo possibilities. 😍
Step 1 - Go to a land made for dreams and fairy tales?
❤️🔥☦️❤️🔥YES It reminds me of a part of heaven in the morning. ❤️🔥Suggestion ❤️🔥 Find a misty waterfall with green moss on the rocks and trees. A place fairies would go and become a faerie
Is it only Sony that has that continuous shooting option?
🤍🤍🤍
So many ents there 😂
Where r u from
Have some better understanding now. Thank you.
