No one is gonna read this, but this song always gets me tearing up. I lost my grandpa at a young age due to cancer. At this point, I’ve mostly gotten over it but I miss him every day. He was an amazing grandpa who always made me laugh and I felt happy around him. I remember how sad and helpless I felt hearing him coughing and in pain while all I could do is sit there and try not to cry because it would just make him sad. I regret every second I spent without him. I love you grandpa

as someone who has in the past 5 months lost 7 people I love, those people including both my great grandmas, both my great grandpas, step grandpa, a best friend to suicide, and my grandma who recently lost her battle to cancer this hits really hard. thank you JVKE for helping me realize I’m not the only one who feels like they are losing people who you love. I hope for anyone who has not experienced or witnessed what other people have, I wish you peace. Six years have passed since I lost my father and I'm doing fine, but sometimes I feel that their is an empty space left inside my heart since then. I don't know how to fill that empty space but one thing that I know is that the older I get the more I miss him everyday. Losing someone is very hard and It takes a lot of courage and acceptance to move forward so cherish every moments that you have with the people you love.

I had 8 birds, 2 budgies and 6 lovebirds. Even had a channel for them. First i had one budgie called lemon, then i got one more budgie and 2 two lovebirds as a couple. The budgies had no babies but lovebirds first managed to have a baby. I didnt even have a chance to learn its gender and name it. After a few weeks they also managed to have 3 other babies. They were so special to me. On my birthday they died because of quick heat change. I always thought that as long as i was with them they could never die, all of them died in my hands... My sister would open songs from her phone for the birds. (They would love golden hour) and in her playlist it showed that last song that she played was this. Its been a couple months they died, i still cant look at their photos. Everytime i feel overwhelmed or anxious i listen this and it calms me down, reminding me times i had with them. Sadly, my grandma passed away, and it brought me to tears. She had trouble breathing one day. And that one day was Christmas Day. Not long after, she passed away while I was in school. I really miss her.
This song hits really hard for me, which is honestly quite surprising considering the fact that I've been lucky to not have to grieve of the loss of someone close to me. I think the reason this never ceases to make me cry is because I know how lucky I am that I can hold all of my loved ones close to me, which makes it even more terrifying for the inevitable point in my life where I'll have to climb that mountain. The thought of that absolutely horrifies me... I don't know if I'm ready yet. Because JVKE is right, you DON'T know when you're going to lose someone. And that thought keeps me awake at night.

My grandfather died today three years ago. I never thought that I would miss him *this* much. He was a world war 2 survivor. If he'd still be alive, I'd ask him all the questions like: How was world war 2 like? How was life like in 1968? But I was too young and too shy to ask him those questions. I'm Malaysian but he's the only person in my family that speaks English with me. He had a very special place jn my heart. He was a good man.

I’ve been going through depression and my dogs helped me through it, but when they passed away it brought me to my lowest. I'm almost 60 we lose many loved ones in a lifetime, it's difficult I'm very tired of it all but know I'll go soon enough and that will break someone's heart that loves and cares about me ...
