Playing the Part commendation is a bit much. If you have a 3 or 4 person crew, it's definitely doable, but that shit ain't happening if you're solo or duo. Oh, and right now you can burn your teammate with the skull and it counts towards the other commendation. You can keep doing it until it goes empty. Better grind that out before it's patched!
I sailed the BB 3 times yesterday (2 duo, 1 brig) and I got to 8 twice. I would have done it 3 times if someone didn't have to leave early. So with the right crew and server, the commendation isn't that bad. To increase your chances, try staying on a server until the BB spawns, or just do raid voyages until one spawns. If you can be on the server when the BB spawns, you can get there before any server hoppers make it to the server, then you'll have less ships trying to sink you for the voyage, because half of the server hoppers only want to crew the thing as well.
to be honest i was fine with the commendations part of the new cosmetics but the levels dang, i think rare deleted mercy on the players from their minds, especially me, im at 103 and im nowhere close to getting the new cosmetics.
and to be honest i rather touch grass then touch hg ever again, ive been burned out a long time ago, and now only ultra sweats are dominating hg(not trying to be rude), and its buggy too, so i think its rather worth it for the commendations than the hg levels, rare gotta be hard on us skellys.

I've reached servants lvl 120 this year and I am so done and exhausted with hourglass. I wish there was a hat without blindfold or obsidian skull and a hook without the shield or anything on, then I'll be satisfied with my skelly and settle for roleplay.
All the cosmetics looks great in my opinion. But I do hope there's going to be more cosmetics unlocked by doing goofy stuff. I hope that's going to be more by just doing a tall tale and then unlock maybe a golden jaw by doing the shores of gold.

They could’ve angled the camera up a little to show off the lower bodies, but no keep them guessing ig. Also I hope we are compensated with allegiance xp when turning in the ship or killing other players. Cause 80 rituals that don’t require sinking a sword into another pirate doesn’t seem worth it.
Love the new cosmetics personally, but think they need to adjust HG still before more people will want to go into it. That and add some default cosmetics that you can wear as soon as the curse unlocks, nothing complicated just some outfits so new skeletons can actually wear something when they get the curse rather than being naked.

Skulls with male or female hair styles, chests and pants with dresses or jackets, just more actual skeleton clothes rather than a bucket or barrel. Similarly to how the cursed captains body looked in the first pirates life tall tale.
For defeating the athena player, can it be the same one over and over? Like if we run into an athena emissary player, is it better to draw out the battle to get multiple deaths from one player?
I would imagine the same one would work, so you could probably make a deal with a player by killing them 25 times in exchange for letting them sink you or just find a really REALLY angry Athena that won’t leave
I think the seared obsidian bones is pretty pathetic for lvl 500. It’s literally a red mark on the chest and eye so if you where any jacket you won’t even see it plus the obsidian head pieces all give you a seared mark anyway lmao

Hourglass is in theory good, but it is way too sweaty. I think no other game is that hard when it comes to mechanical skills like movement, canon aim, sailing etc. There is no matchmaking, and while I grinded Skelly and ghost curse I met SO MANY CHEATERS. LIKE WTF?! Also ultra sweats absolutly ruin the game and completely take the fun.
Man, HG is fun, but I'm so burned out on it. I especially don't want to touch it since there's so much new shit to play with. Hoping some day we get the basic skelly outfits with some goofy challenges for them.
