Both wonderful places to look for fossils . I always pick low tides for fossil hunting there as the cliffs are dangerous. I find fossils washed out into gullies and rock pools in these places
ComfortInScents that’s good you liked it - thanks 🙏 very much for that ! I thought 💭 it was important to point out some of the beach safety issues as well with the summer season heading rapidly open us . At least you walked lunch 🥙 🍴 off - virtual reality style 😃
Brandon Lennon Lol yes! Good you are showing the dangers. Every time I visit I'm shocked by what people are doing climbing up plus their children too. They don't seem to realise what could happen:(
I went to Lyme Regis yesterday hoping to find some pyrite ammonites, I was looking in amongst the larger rocks but I couldn’t find any, was I looking in the wrong place? I did find a small vertibrae, that was the find of the day!
Well done finding the fossil vertebra specimen. We were on the fossil walk yesterday with our walkers and found some good iron pyrites ammonites in “the fools gold fields . “ Did you see my TH-cam video called “ Ammonite,” that specifically shows you how to find the iron pyrites ammonites at low tide
@@LymeRegisFossils thank you I’ll have a look for it. Do you own the little fossil shop up a little ally way? If so, I brought the megalodon tooth from you last year, it’s my prized possession 😁 do you know what the vertebra is likely to be from please? It’s quite a small one probably a 1.5 cm. thank you
Yes 🙌 that’s me in the little shop up the alley way ! The teeth I had in were really good , I’ve got non now . You can always send me a picture of the bones of you like and I can tell you what’s what . @lymeregisfossils on Instagram
@@LymeRegisFossils Hi Brandon just to let you know I messaged you on Instagram and sent some photos of my finds, I’m new to Instagram so I hope you get them ok. Thank you Kate 😀
The main thing along the Jurassic Coast is to beware of the unstable cliffs - they are liable to fall suddenly and without warning ⚠️ always go fossil collecting at low tide 👍
Some excellent fossil hunting tips and some important points made about those dangerous cliffs, just in time for the start of the holiday season.
Everything Dinosaur thanks very much Mike ! That’s absolutely perfectly put by you !
Thanks for posting an update about the dangerous cliffs.
Mike Walley thank you and for all your excellent blogs about the Jurassic Coast as well !
It's a great demonstration of just looking for fossils and shows that you don't need to take a hammer for finding them all the time.
brilliant video of hunting, made by the best guide you can get
Karsten Genzel Thanks Karsten for that , the fossils hunting has been slow we need “good bad weather .”
Gostei muito dó seu canal é sou garimpeiro 🙏
I've been to Charmouth and the golden cap!!

Brandon Lennon I am not sure why they don't take the signs seriously either.
ComfortInScents that’s so true they let their children into dangerous areas and don’t think about the safety aspects
awesome. small but perfect, intact and the details are clearly visible. really a very valuable finding.
Thanks very much for that , it’s fun 🙌
@@LymeRegisFossils Your eyesight is very observant, otherwise I might not find such a small object
It’s one of those finds you need to make just seeing a glint of the pyrite ammonite keel that sort of thing. I walk with me head down
Please make a guide on how to find fossils at this area.
Hey where is exactly the Jurassic coast
It is on the south Coast , Dorset and Devon
Great content bud
Jack Power thank you
Thanks 🙏

I think you missed a shark tooth
At 4:36 right by it
You do get very small shark 🦈 teeth from the Cretaceous age , they are very small from the cenomanian beds .
I can barely hear/understand you. 😭😭😭
