    I know it's not gonna be the most popular but the nights where I pickup the house just a bit and clean the kitchen are the nights I sleep the BEST. It takes MAYBE 20 mins and Morning Me is SO HAPPY I did it! 😊

      We also use separate comforters. I’m not always fighting to keep my burrito position and he’s night fighting to get the corner of the sheet. I use an entire king size comforter and he uses a twin throw but it 💯 keeps us happier.

    The separate blanket thing makes so much difference! My husband is a furnace and I'm an ice box so I steal all the blankets and if he gets cold in the night he's not getting them back haha. Also as soon as I'm done supper I do my night skin care. I found washing my face and doing it right before bed woke me up too much so now I do it around 7pm and then when I'm sleepy I can just crawl into bed!

    • @luisemillerin207
      @luisemillerin207 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That last point has been a gamechanger for me, as well! I love slathering on cold water right after dinner and I've found I'm going to sleep much earlier these days, since I've always hated doing the whole skincare routine right before bed. 😊

    Hey, just wanted to say I love your videos because they're super approachable and fun while still being informative. I'm around 210lbs but mostly muscle, I'm strong but I don't fit the mould. Creators like you make me remember fitness shouldn't be gatekept. I feel like I'm listening to an older sister when you post... in the least parasocial way possible lol. Game changer - I live in Ireland and as you know the weather/amount of light we get in the winter months is shite and getting natural light first thing is an issue - until my parents bought me a lightbox alarm clock thing that wakes you with light and even though I generally only stay in bed for 10-15 mins after I wake, I found it made a huge difference to my sleep/mood cycles in the darker months

    even better than just a heated blanket is the dual-zone heated MATTRESS PAD. Life-changing. I do wish mine had a better timer (it only shuts off after 10 hours), would be nice if it would shut off after 1-2 hours. But I can even pop this thing on in the middle of summer if the A/C is too cold without affecting my partner.

    Yeah this sounds like sleeping with extra steps 😊. I just get tired during the day, and the fact that I love sleeping is all the motivation I need. Also if anything hurts sleep usually fixes it.
    When laying in bed and the mind is racing, just try to imagine a black wall and I mean a really really black wall and slow down your breathing.
    As you said in the video
    "Truly if there is one thing that solves all our problems it's sleep"

I haven't heard many people having the same allergies! Tip magnesium oil at night is amazing it puts me and my family to sleep so fast and it's perfect for Migraines! I already do a lot of these things..my main issue is not stopping my entertainment consumption aka watching a tv show or something, but I've gotten better :) progress not perfection right ;) I totally agree on your theory of being more sleepy after carbs but when I eat such a heavy meal for dinner, my digestion is on high power and I don't sleep that well. So I try to get a similar effect with a small dessert after dinner like a piece of chocolate or some dates or even a chocolate oat milk :)

      100% wool blanket also does the trick. Just make sure to get a fluffy enough one. We sleep with the window open in winter at mild minus and wool keeps us super warm and cozy for perfect balance - fresh air and warm bed :)

    I did the red mode after your video and wow! Did you listen to Hubermans first podcast for his sleep series?! Curious if you’ll review some of it with your own experience too!
