Hi mate. Trying to figure this out also for my ‘98 lx470. I think there’s an amp under the seat. Everyone in the states with these rigs talk bypassing the amp or not bypassing they amp etc. Might be why there’s two confusing plugs
Thanks for the advice. You could be right. We had another look a few days later and found by connecting the front speaker output to the read the read speakers worked. So the owner was happy to join the wires for front and rear together so they all worked. He doesn't have surround sound but at least he has left and right :)
Fair enough. You got it done in the end. Just finished up mine today and it’s plug and play with Aerpro APP0261. It simply uses the rca’s on your new HU and then plugs into one of the factory plugs, full sound. (And then has wires to connect to the power/acc/ground/etc) It’s a amp retention harness. Sends the tunes through the factory amp under the seat and then to the speakers. The sub in the back still works too. If you knew about this product you could’ve saved yourself hours oops
@@miniwhatt so all all you needed was that product to properly install an aftermarket sterio? You had complete sound? Also what stereo did you install? Please help.
