Omg, ikr? Season 9 isn't a season I necessarily rewatch.. *cough* Elise *cough* and I feel like I've never seen that clip! Love Gordon for that though.
Simone was clearly sick during her time on HK. She was super energetic during the signature dish challenge and then made a total 180. With how Rochelle felt for a few episodes toward the beginning of the season, something was probably going around the red team.
Yeah...I wonder who patient zero was. Like who brought it to them. I mean it could have been Rochelle, but I think it has to be someone else at the beginning who was sick and didn't say anything...I don't know but yeah it really did seem like Simone had come down with something...her face was pale, she looked feverish, and her eyes were very watery...not like tears, but like when you sneeze or are holding one.
Maybe it was part from their rewards, remember on that episode, the women won a challenge and their reward was riding on a luxury sailboat on ocean. So, both of Rochelle and Simone might get sick due to sea sickness. That explain how Rochelle couldn't stop coughing on that episode.
@@margarethmichelina5146 sea sickness doesn't last that long and Rochelle was sick for multiple episodes not just one. And Simone was fine then. It had to be some sort of virus. Also sea sickness wouldn't explain the coughing as coughing isn't a symptom of it. The symptoms are dizziness, uneasiness, nausea and vomiting...people may also experience belching, but coughing is not on the list.
I know most people say Monique was the worst chef in S14 but I actually think Michael was worse. Monique, as bad as she was, at least never almost injured anyone. Michael should’ve gotten ejected for that mistake, especially when it could’ve injured Bret or Josh.
Hot Take! That one single Season 9 Episode made me hate Jonathan almost as much as Elise. While people hate Season 9 for how many extra chances Elise got, at least I got the satisfaction of seeing Jonathan go home right when he should go home. Also, Chef Ramsey referencing the One Armed Bandit himself, Dave, to demonstrate how pathetic Jonathan's "neck pain" was, is hands down one of my favorite moments of Season 9.
Now that the season is complete on youtube, I must say that I am surprised that there is so much talk solely about Elise. Like, don't get me wrong, she's still the worst. But she's not the only jerk that season. I'd say she even stands out little in the first three episodes. Mostly because her bad attitude is focused solely on Carrie, who can also be annoying. She even seems nice. Obviously there comes a point where all that chaos affects the whole team, and that's when Elise starts to annoy everyone.
@@OjamaFanatic622I didn't get why she hated Carrie so much. Like yeah she talked a lot and was annoying at times, but like you said she did seem nice. I found her funny and entertaining at times. I just didn't really see a reason to hate her like that. I mean she was learning and I could see her making progress unlike with Elise who didn't change at all between the two seasons she was on.
@@vanapirarayne738 I would say they were both very similar. That's why I feel there was conflict between them from the beginning. Both had a very high image of themselves, and that caused them to compete to see who was better. That could make for an interesting arc, but the arguments were so toxic that instead of making them better, it negatively affected their performance and that of their team.
S4's Craig deserves a mention for his last service: * Failed on the challenge, being unable to make acceptable pasta. * Struggled on an easy menu, and shouted at his team AND Ramsay. * His spectacularly bad nomination plea.
Pretty much, the man had almost no mistakes or fuck ups in the season, and the few he had were either due to stuff out of his controll or cause his teammate screwed him over (the creppe was something he had no experience with and he trusted the guy who "suposibly" knew how to make them). Beyond that, he stayed pretty humble and out of drama, wich made the elimation discussions hilarious when he just sat there quietly watching people argue.
@@peterwhite6415one of my favorite Dave moments was when he won the final 3 challenge by getting all the judges votes despite being required to cook Indian food, something he had never cooked before, and using pork in his dish, something (unbeknownst to Dave since he’s never cooked Indian food) most people in India cannot eat due to the country’s high population of Muslims (Islam bans the consumption of certain meats, with pork as one of them)
Trevor seems like a great line cook and a middling head chef but he's very much underrated and overhated imo. Gotta respect the mental fortitude he had on his second run.
Watching Seth on this season, part of me is reminded a LOT of Nicholas Hoult's character in The Menu. He's someone who was deeply inspired by and idolizes the chef at the center of it all, knowing even the slightest bit of trivia about him, yet can't deliver in the slightest when it comes to actually cooking. I'm partly surprised they didn't refer to his signature dish (the one where he put honey in a ratatouille) as "Seth's Bullsh*t".
Nice analysis, man! Spot on. If anything, I wonder the same thing about Seth putting honey in the ratatouille. But honestly, what's with the chefs in HK thinking honey will give their signature dishes that extra oomph, though? It just doesn't always work.
And Danny could also be Margot (Anya Taylor Joy's character), they both had bad attitudes, and even argued with the head chef but somehow they both survived till the end and win the whole thing.
I literally cheered when the clip of Jonathan and Ramsey in the store room played. Ramsey shut down the pathetic excuses via highlighting one of the greatest winners, Dave "one arm bandit" Levey.
Season 9, Episode 6 Monterrey - ELIMINATED- 15 mistakes, 11 service mistakes (asked a lot of questions, lack of confidence in himself, very small portion, put broccoli in a cold pan, it was full of grease and had to be redone, threw broccoli in the trash, he was’nt using his brain, he took a long time with the fish, raw fish on the pass when he was placed in the station to resolve it and not get in the way and he made his team get kicked, he said he had more knife skills than Jonathan, in night of a school meeting he didn't pass on the test) Paul: 7 service mistakes (delayed with the fish and took it raw to the pass, raw fish to the pass again, was removed from the fish station, disintegrated) Jonathan - 4 service mistakes (took too long with the fish, stood around doing nothing and didn't help, asked chef if they could stay)
From what I remember he'd been nominated 3 times and apart from people who have shown to be more talented than most of the cast and people who would drive ratings. It's three strikes and out.
It feels like, with Michael, the producers wanted another RaJ. They probably knew how popular RaJ was with the viewers, and felt like Michael's incompetence could be edited in a similar way. That said, I feel like RaJ was at least more entertaining than Michael, hence why he's remembered more. Michael at least seems like he has decent intentions, even he seems WAY out of his depth on the show.
Coincidentally, much like Raj, Michael was the 3rd chef to be eliminated in his season (well okay, Raj was technically the 4th chef in S8 to be out because of Antonia’s medevac in the first episode, but going exclusively by the team and/or Chef Ramsay being the one to nominate the chefs, then in that case, Raj is 3rd out)
Except Michael didn't show his goofiness from beginning. Raj showed it when Ramsay noticed that both of him and Sabrina who were the last ones who presented the dish wear suspenders by saying "Nice Suspender!" While Sabrina laughed it out awkwardly, Raj nonchalantly said "Oh, thank you! I mean, yes sir, Chef!" And he presented his seafood and vegetable pancake with piss on it. Later, when the men won a reward, Raj was the only one who clapped and then presented his drunk karate.
I’m not sure if this counts but Giovanni in season 5 during the first Black Jacket punishment and service was a pretty rough day for him. Not only refusing to help out much in the punishment, and arguing with his teammates a bit, but his negative attitude led to him crashing and burning during the dinner service. Couldn’t cook Ben’s dish correctly, terrible communication with Robert and Andrea, had a one on one argument with chef Ramsay and accidentally burning Robert’s hand. All of this led to him getting the boot after service.
Giovanni - ELIMINATED- 22 mistakes, 17 service mistakes (didn't have the best dish, dropped boxes with glass bottles and broke the bottles during the punishment, disappeared during the punishment, kept opening and closing the oven, raw chicken in the pass, delay with the chicken, didn't know the order, chicken all chewed on the pass made the whole order have to be redone, said it's not ''dickface'' to the chef 2x, continued to respond to the chef, communication, delays delaying his team, placed a hot pan in the freezer, lifted the hot pan carelessly and burned Robert)
Omg Michael. He seemed like a nice guy, but he was so delusional. And how did he still not understand how dangerous it was to leave that sizzling pan by the fish station? At least Giovanni apologized for burning Robert’s hand.
You missed one moment in Trev's worst episode that made him bad. During the punishment, despite him having the worst dish, he pulled a Matt (season 16) and said "Hey man, I don't give a shit. One opinion. That's all that was.", as if her opinion didn't matter. Of course, that got Brett upset (and rightfully so), and he stated that the opinion is from one of the great chefs in the world and her opinion means the world. Despite that, Trev responded with "Yeah, that's alright. I know who's good. I'm not gonna let it get me down." And of course, Brett continues to defend the judge chef in the confessionals stating he lost respect for Trev, that the judge is one of the greatest pastry chefs ever, and that her opinion does matter. Trev is not a bad guy, but this (and also his altercation with Raj) is one of those moments where you are like "Come on Trev! Really?"
To be fair - he was bullied so hard its no wonder he tried to find an excuse. Honestly, that answer didn't piss me off as much as Brett during the entire season. He got 1-4 on Blind Taste and bullied 0-4 Trev. He got 3-8 next day on a challenge and bullied 2-8 Trev. He wasn't much better.
trevor is one of the worst chefs ever in HK. I have no idea why he was brought back. He was hated on all 4 teams he cooked with, he was terrible in challenges, couldn't dress a salad, was a massive hypocrite, complained all the time, etc. Just awful. He honestly deserved the bullying he got lol.
Look at the other nominees besides Simone: -Mike: Definetly will stay just for drama and rating -DeMarco: Dude is totally inconsistent but Ramsay wants to give him another chance Clearly Simone will be eliminated on that episode
@@margarethmichelina5146 exactly, Mike would’ve possibly been gone if she wasn’t there. DeMarco wasn’t too far behind because he just constantly messed up
@@Milky_Mercy that's why I felt DeMarco would have gone. The teams disliked Mike & Simone and liked DeMarco, at this early stage of the game, there is an emphasis on conflict creation more than anything, hence why Simone and Mike would have stayed. Edit: Obviously you'd never run a real competition like this, but that's where the television element kicks in.
My favourite sayings are: "You, Donkey 🫏." "Where's The Lamb Sauce 🐑." "It's Raw, Raw." "Get Out You" "Thank You for This Opportunity Chef Gordon Ramsey"
My favorite is from season six, when he told Dave that his dish was "Foul" It's just that word coming from his mouth that left me laughing a solid 10 seconds
You could probably make a video that covers all time bad episodes that didn’t result in eliminations - with some examples being Boris having multiple breakdowns in season 8, Clemenza’s fashion night service episode, Kashia and Gabriel both having a tough episode on Season 12’s charity night, and Elise trainwrecking repeatedly but getting spared over Jennifer in Season 9 and Van in Season 17 among plenty of others.
Season 9, Episode 14 Jennifer - ELIMINATED- 24 mistakes, 16 service mistakes (fish skin, presentation, didn't win the challenge, was distracted by her crush on Paul, communication, was overwhelmed but didn't want to delegate, poor coordination made Tommy take raw pasta on the pass, silence during appetizers, didn't respond to Elise, takes a long time with the appetizers, started fighting with Elise, risotto with the bottom of the pan burnt on the pass, said the pasta was good, took raw pasta to the pass, doesn't allow Tommy to help, she can't communicate, she's not ready to lead, she doesn't like fighting, she's a lady, she only found her voice in the competition when she was being eliminated) Elise - 27 mistakes, 23 service mistakes (presentation and cutting of the fish, can't tell the fish after tasting the pasta, low price and didn't win the challenge, didn't listen to Jennifer, delay in the scallops, started fighting with the Jennifer, fish was overcooked and dry in the pass, it took a long time to put it in the pass, fish with soggy skin in the pass, the skin of the fish broke and had to be redone, it took a long time to get the fish, a lot of difficulty with the skin, it delayed the entire kitchen, had to start over because the fish stuck to the pan, blamed the pan, very low heat, didn't want Tommy's help, raw fish in the pass and caused the whole team to be kicked) Season 10, Episode 7 Clemenza - 38 Mistakes (4 portions of scallops early, 4 scallops overcooked, overloaded on scallops, station caught on fire, delay in scallops, fish overcooked, movement, made 9 fish too many) Guy - ELIMINATED - 12 Mistakes (overcooked scallops, slow time with the scallops, lost focus looking at the models, pan on fire, 3 burnt steaks, cold steak, communication) Season 17, Episode 9 Van - ELIMINATED - 5 mistakes (fish fell apart, communication, times, delay with fish, fish overcooked) Elise - 5 mistakes (could have made the asparagus two or three ways and blamed just a few ingredients, didn't know how to fillet the fish, communication, was fighting with Barbie at service) Barbie - 4 mistakes (communication, fought with Elise at service, cold steak, insisted on cooking duck)
It's not to say that chefs who perform badly on an HK run do badly overall. I'm sure he actually learned a ton of what he was doing was wrong, and applied to do better IRL. There's lots of chefs who place horribly in their seasons who end up doing much better going forwards.
Louis in season 8 had a terrible episode, he was the first post Raj elimination chef to make Ramsay spit his ravioli dish out and he had a terrible night on meat and even p***ed off chef Scott by bringing a pork chop to him in his hand, he got berated for it and later eliminated over a chef who ditched his team to wash dishes. Rob in season 8 got 0/4 on the blind taste test costing his team the win and also was kicked out of the kitchen for screwing the fish dishes up non stop. Danielle in season 10 failed terribly at the mexican challenge by not being able to wrap a burrito, she was also one of the 12 or many chefs who got kicked out on Mexican night by sending up raw pork to the pass. Patrick in season 10 also delivered a dish in the challenge along with Dana which didn't get a point and was one of the 2 chefs who got kicked out the kitchen in the blue team and was eliminated.
Simone that girl was just lost and crazy, she should've been on the show in the first place, If she didn't nominate herself we problem got rid of grocery store mike sooner and Seth was so bad, the Producers extend his elimination plea way longer. Most of the time he was just kissing up to Ramsey
Seth -ELIMINATED- 22 mistakes, 5 mistakes in breakfast service and 17 mistakes in second service (overloaded on eggs, slow on eggs, small portions of eggs, delayed the kitchen with eggs, should have used a large Teflon frying pan, scallopss like rubber with bacon and eggs on the pass, kept talking over the chef and didn't listen to the order, wiping himself with a dirty cloth and wiping the pan with the same cloth, said he only had one cloth, dishes with undercooked scallops came back) Michael - ELIMINATED- 12 mistakes, 8 service mistakes (got the wrong fish, lack of seasoning on the fish, didn't have the best dish of the round, left the kitchen to make his own lunch, didn't make flatbread despite it being his responsibility, he was more focused on organizing his station than helping his team, burned a pan and placed a hot pan in a dangerous place, wanted to take the pan out of the chef's hand, was going to put garnish too early on the pass, didn't even start service ,chef cannot tolerate this level of incompetence) Jonathon - ELIMINATED - 28 mistakes, 16 service mistakes (difficulty with the pizza, pizza was horrible, didn't want to take the pizza, too much liquid, honey and truffle oil, didn't admit his mistake, missed the point, started to disappear, in the competition, he had a pain in his neck and couldn't help with the punishment or preparation, he put too much dough together which would interfere with the whole cooking process, overcooked pasta in the pass, communication, he hadn't added the dough, pasta worse than canned spaghetti in the pass , needed help, blamed the pain in his neck for his poor performance, shouted at the chef when responding
“ Hell’s Kitchen is about making someone’s wish come true. Simone wished to leave Hell’s Kitchen. That is an easy one. Wish granted.” “ Trevor is one of the most passionate chefs I ever had in Hell‘s Kitchen, but until he has support of his brigade, he’ll continue to be lost at sea.” “ Seth showed that he had all the passion in the world, but the bottom line is he’s a crap cook.”
This may be a weird longshot of a thought, but I’ve always wondered if Simone was trying to pull a Petrozza: Willingly throwing herself up on the chopping block, in a vain attempt to stay in the game (whereas Petrozza doing it was him being genuinely sincere). At least with how it was edited, Simone did look genuinely disappointed that Ramsay chose her after that stunt. If there’s some extra context/after-the-fact info I’m missing in relation to that, I’d love to hear it. Genuinely curious since I haven’t had the chance to watch that season myself.
Simon deserves to be on this list. She was weird and doesn't take her work seriously. And she even thinks Rochelle's sickness was faked. Like come on. At least Rochelle can cook.
Also in season 5 the previous episode, Seth terribly filleted a steak and wasted a lot of meat and tried to hide it from Ramsey. But of course Ramsey knew and saw the whole thing. Many of his teammates thought he should've been eliminated that night because of that. He was pretty annoying too as he thought he was way better than he actually was.
hey will you do another most absurd next time trailers? i remember one of the ones featuring simone doing a weird face but it wasn't in the actual episode
scott's s7 elimination episode could fit in a part 3. made a mother sauce dish that was hated, was still cocky & would be one of the main reasons the red team got kicked out
Just watched season 18 and I have another one: Heather Heather’s last two episodes were a horrendous downfall for her, a runner up. The episode where the final six compete for the black jackets- Heather served 2 awful dishes and one safe one that got her in last second. Then the next episode, she first messes up the ‘taste it now make it challenge’ by serving a broken hollandaise and a broken egg yolk. Then she goes on and on about how Mia is horrible during dinner service during the punishment. Then during dinner service she completely flops- no communication and Motto has to take over her station. She had been doing well/pretty decent all season- not the best of course but not this bad
My favourite thing with Michael from 14, is when Ramsay tells him to shout out (the) risotto ingredents, but if you listen carefully, Michael is in the process of shouting the words RISOTTO INGREDIENTS before Ramsay cuts him off 😂
I don't know why he came back. He was a complete disaster in his first season. Couldn't make a salad, Yelled at Sabrina, Made the worst dessert dish. S8-18. Both total clusterf**ks.
Let's do another one, shall we? And here are some other Josh(Season 3 Episode 8) Lacey(Season 5 Episode 8) Raj(Season 3 Episode 3) Curtis(Season 3 Episode 2) Nedra(Season 11 Episode 13)
For a moment i thought that was Autumn on the thumbnail. Also about time you picked Michael from 14. Though i hoped you had Johnny from 16 and Monique from 14.
T's Season 18 boot episode deserves to be on this list. During the challenge, she produced a poor dish that cost her team the challenge. During dinner service, she shut down completely.
For the next video you should either continue with: " Chefs who made it way too far ( biggest bullet dodgers ) Part 2 or the Top Worst Charity Night Services in Hell's kitchen History!!
I just thought of one maybe for the future Craig, S.4 He wasn't that good of a chef, but his elimination episode where he gets sassy with Chef, it was pretty hilarious how fast he sunk his team
The girls in S12 shouldn't have assumed that Simone's illness was fake, as you never know what someone is going through, it just conveniently happened during the punishment, so I can see why they would think that way.
Worst Individual Performance of Season 1 Jessica - ELIMINATED- 13 mistakes (spongy soufflé, took too long with the chicken, walked around the kitchen with the chicken in hand, dessert times, didn't know how to plate the dessert, communication, slipped and dropped a plate, 2 soufflés, asked help from chef Ramsay, received instructions from Jean Phillipe, opened the oven Worst Individual Performance of Season 2 Virginia: 23 mistakes - (lettuce split, lettuce took too long, didn't leave the pan on the heat to gain color, needed more sauce, sauce was reducing too much, too much butter in the sauce, doesn't adapt, posture, communication, more tarragon in the sauce, wasn't going to leave it in the frying pan at the pass, it takes time to make the mashed potatoes, thick mashed potatoes, cold mashed potatoes, fire in the frying pan, it almost burned Mary Ann when flambéing, big pan for the peas and small pan for the lettuce, tortellini, served 2 wellingtons unnecessary, don't look Chef Ramsay in the eye, wouldn't leave the sauce in the pan, ilong time with the carrots). I had an insane neck pain once and it was horrible. I couldn't lean my neck to the right side because it would hurt a lot. I'm pretty sure Jonathan was faking his neck pain. He seemed to casual about it.
There are many other chefs that I think had poor individual episodes, so if there is a third episode, these are the chefs I’d recommend (would also be their boot episodes): Monique s14 Rob s8 Denine s13 Patrick s10 Devon s22 Dana s17 Roe s18 Nothing personal to these chefs, I just think they had poor individual performances.
Tbh I’m surprised Seth wasn’t eliminated over Charlie, one questionable elimination that doesn’t really get talked about along with LA over Carol in that same season. And atleast Trev made it farther than expected as after seeing s8, I feel like for the power rankings he was the weakest veteran going into that season. Some other idea I’d like to see are great chefs who nearly didn’t get the black jacket and bad chefs who nearly did get one.
Well to be fair, Charlie was pretty clueless back to back services. I mean before his boot episode, he had to be bailed out by Ben on the garnish station. Now his boot episode was pretty poor. Not only did he struggle to get food out, but he also did poorly as a waiter causing a bunch of accidents. Even if Charlie did outlasted Seth, he would’ve been the next one to go either way so considering that Seth went the next episode after his boot episode, I can’t complain too much. Now as for LA, she pretty much started the episode off with a terrible impression by deciding to sit out in the Blind Taste Test. After that her fate was sealed along with a poor dinner service. LA was mid on the line overall so I think 8th place was fair enough for her. The interesting thing about Carol now is that she was the first contestant in history to get booted off from the winning team over the choices of Ben & Robert on the blue team so in the end, Carol got the ultimate surprise elimination.
@@rayewaddell9668 imo LA made less mistakes than Carol, but I see your POV. I feel like Ramsey started eliminating chefs from the winning team after seeing Matt get a black jacket lol
@@raghavsrinivasan8515 Right and realistically, he could’ve eliminated Matt from the winning team instead or better yet eliminate Matt during service and still eliminate Louross after service so that way the season would’ve been 5 black jackets instead. While I’m not saying that Louross was a terrible chef, but it’s just that he was the main reason why the blue team lost due to his issues on the meat station if we take Matt out the picture and I can only see Louross make it to 6th place even if he did make it to Black Jackets so he would’ve been booted off the next episode. Overall Matt got pretty lucky to be on season 4 instead of the next season because yikes. And in Matt’s case, he worked with a migraine, lol jk🤣
Again May Jonathan rest in peace but no fancy kind of deserved his elimination the episode that you were talking about Flynn yeah that was his worst performance.
Man, oh man, if Seth wasn't the biggest donkey in HK in S5. Like, if anything, he pretty much was a overzealous fanboy by a country mile, particularly during his worst individual episode. I mean even the mental mistakes and cooking mistakes made me wonder if he would ever be competent enough in such an intense kitchen environment. Even though Colleen and Lacey weren't much better by a long shot, I can't get over Seth's overall short run. Simply terrible.
I dunno why people consider Lacey a donkey, like yeah her attitude was pretty bad, but she had 2 great services, which is more than Carol could say with her whipping 0
I'm going to make 3 points one is a critism of Ramsey and how the show regularly presents illness on the show (namely like those who are dealing with it are basically pathetic unless it nearly kills them or they beat it) its honestly disgusting and is a example of how the old chief teachings from France are disgusting as mental health and physical health issues so regularly get ignored in those kitchens to the point of major problems the second is regarding Ramsey alone that being how his standards refer only to people that are ultimately badass people and not incredible chiefs. because although a pinched neck nerve isn't life ending taking such issue with a chef for mentioning to you a health issue and comparing them to a guy who was a major badass person not just a cook is such BS the next is one of annoyance about public perception that being trev. although yes he had a crap service and episode he did deserve to go home. but the show and the audience as shown in this video have a tendency for villainizing the fact the dude was being harassed by the other competitors and because of it turned to one of the actual chiefs to get a fair shot is also such complete BS as at no point during that season was trev not under some form of harassment (and yes I'm saying harassment not bulling as we should call it what it is instead of the crap term we use to excuse those behaviors)
I don't like S14 Josh but I would feel bad for him if he got medivaced due to that clown (Bret was medivaced later anyway for a different reason but it would slim his chances of returning in Season 18)
If you're going to do a worst individual episodes in Hell's Kitchen history that includes black jackets, Manda (in season 15) and Josh (season 3, not Season 14) should be on the list. Even from Season 17 I do not think Manda recovered from her disastrous elimination episode in Season 15.
Yeah episode 11 wasn't the best for Trevor one why would you make avocado kisses from if you want to do superfood try to be healthy there's like smoothies sorry dude but desert nah. Trevor and Brett were the two reasons why the team got kicked out but yeah 50% on Trevor 50% on Brett
If Kevin and Dave could work through their injuries i don't see why Jonathan couldn't. I mean i have a bad back, knees, hip, elbow, and shoulder...and i will sit pick up a 50lb bag of dog food and 35lb bag of cat food and then go home rest for a few minutes and then fix dinner while still in terrible pain, because i can't lift with my legs because they are so weak. Then i might lay down and the next day the pain is even worse, but i still work through it.
@@jamesryan6008 Yeah...poor poor Matt. His head hurts. This morning I had a sinus headache that hurt if I did so much as cough the tiniest bit. But when there is work to be done you do it...unless you are dying there is no excuse not to. It's mind over matter... ignore the pain and get through. Also I have an extremely high pain tolerance. I fractured my back when I was ten and only cried after it happened because of the shock of the fall, not because it hurt... honestly I really didn't feel it until later that night after I came home from the hospital. Then I broke my knee at fourteen and walked on it for months before we figured out all that was wrong with it...had surgery to repair a torn ACL, replace my knee cap because it was dislocated, and reduced pressure off my thigh muscle...was on crutches four around three or four months (At least at school) and the worst part was after the surgery. I would walk around my house and my friend's house without using the crutches because I found it easier to get around... even though I really wasn't supposed to. Once told someone at school the first day back after that I was going to use one crutch and she told me not to do that. If she only knew that I really didn't use them at home 😂. I just never felt the need to complain unless I couldn't take the pain anymore. My other knee is a mystery what is wrong with it. My hip i injured in a car accident, but never went to the hospital. Same for my shoulder. My elbow I first injured at 12 and then again at 18 and it is permanently dislocated to the point that it has pinched a nerve causing most of my right arm to be numb. I feel no pain in that arm...so much so that I have burnt it a lot without noticing. Only one time did I feel it when I burnt it and that was after my oven door slammed on it. Had my first and only third degree burn... didn't go to the hospital either. Just kept it clean and had burn cream on it. You work through the pain no matter what. There is no time for it.

The pride in Gordon’s voice speaking about Dave is so heartwarming, especially since his respect was Dave’s biggest aspiration in his run.
Omg, ikr? Season 9 isn't a season I necessarily rewatch.. *cough* Elise *cough* and I feel like I've never seen that clip! Love Gordon for that though.
The difference is Jonathan was prepared to give up, whereas Dave wasn't, so it just shows what a wimp Jonathan was, rest his soul.
The way Chef James says, "Michael, does it strike you as odd that you're the only one up here right now?" just makes me laugh so hard.
Michael.. wow what a trainwreck.
The gentle parenting in his voice makes it so hilarious.
Michael is lucky that he didn't face Chef Scott or else he would have the same faith like Andrew, Monterray or Benjamin.
@@margarethmichelina5146 And Josh (brutal confrontation in the S3 finale deleted scene)
@@vanapirarayne738 isn't 'sea sickness' just a very specific motion sickness
@@davidlewis5312 Yeah it is.
Monique definitely belongs on this list. Sis couldn't even elevate a grilled cheese.
@@trippysiren7966 and got shafted by Meghan on garnish.
Ramsey referring to Dave when talking with Jonathan just makes his “pain” look worse by comparison.
I know most people say Monique was the worst chef in S14 but I actually think Michael was worse. Monique, as bad as she was, at least never almost injured anyone. Michael should’ve gotten ejected for that mistake, especially when it could’ve injured Bret or Josh.
The only thing worse about Monique was her terrible attitude alongside being a bad chef
No! He couldn’t. It was one thing. Ok. One dangerous mistake but Adam served plastic in a salad on the same night that happened
Michael was the worst in S14. Hands down. Monique is the second worst for sure.
@@eddieolshefski6467 I think the other way. Monique should have been on the list. Not Michael.
Michael at least had a good signature dish. Monique was the female version of S12 Mike.
Jonathon's one episode tantrum got so much focus that even Elise took a back seat in that episode.
I would say that made me dislike him more than Elise, especially when it came to the finale service
S4's Craig deserves a mention for his last service:
* Failed on the challenge, being unable to make acceptable pasta.
* Struggled on an easy menu, and shouted at his team AND Ramsay.
* His spectacularly bad nomination plea.
"I don't know percentages... But just.. over that."
@@scottylewis8124 Still one of the funniest pleas in the show's history.
One Reddit comment about his elimination plea I saw says it all: man went last in a "name the largest number" challenge and lost!
Dude could've just said 200% since Matt said 100% and Ben said 175%.
@@margarethmichelina5146 No. Ben said 100% while Matt said 125%.
3:05 Ramsay is definetly referencing to Dave at that moment
Pretty much, the man had almost no mistakes or fuck ups in the season, and the few he had were either due to stuff out of his controll or cause his teammate screwed him over (the creppe was something he had no experience with and he trusted the guy who "suposibly" knew how to make them). Beyond that, he stayed pretty humble and out of drama, wich made the elimation discussions hilarious when he just sat there quietly watching people argue.
@@peterwhite6415hope Dave hired someone good for those crepes😂😂😂
@@peterwhite6415one of my favorite Dave moments was when he won the final 3 challenge by getting all the judges votes despite being required to cook Indian food, something he had never cooked before, and using pork in his dish, something (unbeknownst to Dave since he’s never cooked Indian food) most people in India cannot eat due to the country’s high population of Muslims (Islam bans the consumption of certain meats, with pork as one of them)
Trevor seems like a great line cook and a middling head chef but he's very much underrated and overhated imo. Gotta respect the mental fortitude he had on his second run.
"I had a boy here 2 years ago who broke his arm! He went on to WIN the competition!"
Great point. The scrambled eggs he was cooking are for doing at home when you can take your time, not trying to bang it out on the line!
@@margarethmichelina5146 ... are you implying Danny is in the 'service industry' like Margot :D
@@davidlewis5312 No... I'm just talking about how his character arc is similar to Margot but that doesn't mean he's an escourt
That was so cool when Chef Ramsay shot down Jonathan's pitiful excuse by mentioning Dave and his incredible accomplishment.
I literally cheered when the clip of Jonathan and Ramsey in the store room played. Ramsey shut down the pathetic excuses via highlighting one of the greatest winners, Dave "one arm bandit" Levey.
Monterrey going over Jonathan had me confused. He literally let Monty sink on the fish station that night. Also RIP Jonathan
Season 9, Episode 6
Monterrey - ELIMINATED- 15 mistakes, 11 service mistakes (asked a lot of questions, lack of confidence in himself, very small portion, put broccoli in a cold pan, it was full of grease and had to be redone, threw broccoli in the trash, he was’nt using his brain, he took a long time with the fish, raw fish on the pass when he was placed in the station to resolve it and not get in the way and he made his team get kicked, he said he had more knife skills than Jonathan, in night of a school meeting he didn't pass on the test)
Paul: 7 service mistakes (delayed with the fish and took it raw to the pass, raw fish to the pass again, was removed from the fish station, disintegrated)
Jonathan - 4 service mistakes (took too long with the fish, stood around doing nothing and didn't help, asked chef if they could stay)
I thought I was the only one who remembered that Johnathon sabotaged Monterey. .
3:04 That was SOOOOO satisfying to hear.
Please don't call me Dickface chef, that's my father's name
Omg Michael. He seemed like a nice guy, but he was so delusional. And how did he still not understand how dangerous it was to leave that sizzling pan by the fish station? At least Giovanni apologized for burning Robert’s hand.
I'm surprised he didn't cook tableside food in the kitchen

Gordon: You're the worst two cooks EVER to grace the fish station.
Jessica: 🥺
Simone: 😆
She just freaking laughed 😂
Really?"
Yeah. I can understand why Bret was so pissed at him. It's one thing to make a bad dish, but the way Trev handled it doomed him.
Trev on the outside: pfft that's just her opinion 😏😎
Trev on the inside: 🤬😭
Bret is just glazing
To be fair, Tommy did an awful job as a leader during the challenge. Everyone kept asking him for guidance but he wouldn't speak to anyone.
In all honesty Carrie wasn’t much better as a leader. Neither she nor Tommy had those qualities.
Yeah it’s been said that Jonathan’s pizza idea was better
Personally I believe that even if Simone hadn't said "It's okay Chef, I can go," she still would've been eliminated regardless.
Yeah, her team had lost faith in her at that point.
Nah, they would have kept her in to ratchet up the tension on the red team.
Look at the other nominees besides Simone:
-Mike: Definetly will stay just for drama and rating
-DeMarco: Dude is totally inconsistent but Ramsay wants to give him another chance
Clearly Simone will be eliminated on that episode
@@margarethmichelina5146 exactly, Mike would’ve possibly been gone if she wasn’t there. DeMarco wasn’t too far behind because he just constantly messed up
@@Milky_Mercy that's why I felt DeMarco would have gone. The teams disliked Mike & Simone and liked DeMarco, at this early stage of the game, there is an emphasis on conflict creation more than anything, hence why Simone and Mike would have stayed.
Edit: Obviously you'd never run a real competition like this, but that's where the television element kicks in.
My favourite sayings are:
"You, Donkey 🫏."
"Where's The Lamb Sauce 🐑."
"It's Raw, Raw."
"Get Out You"
"Thank You for This Opportunity Chef Gordon Ramsey"

It's just that word coming from his mouth that left me laughing a solid 10 seconds

Seth is actually really successful IRL, opened multiple restaurants and has a beautiful little girl
It's not to say that chefs who perform badly on an HK run do badly overall. I'm sure he actually learned a ton of what he was doing was wrong, and applied to do better IRL. There's lots of chefs who place horribly in their seasons who end up doing much better going forwards.

Rob in season 8 got 0/4 on the blind taste test costing his team the win and also was kicked out of the kitchen for screwing the fish dishes up non stop.

Seth was a class A jaxk axe. Jonathan had a weird hate boner for monterrey always blaming for something
Monterray's struggles on garnish meant Jonathon's perfect night on meat in episode 1 was all in vain. I don't think he ever forgave him for that.

Just watched season 18 and I have another one: Heather
Heather’s last two episodes were a horrendous downfall for her, a runner up.

Kevin -EJECTED- 27 mistakes, 22 service mistakes (repeated ingredient, raw steak, no spices, lack of seasoning for a Mexican dish, lost point, raw lobsters on pass, times, raw lobsters again and they had to start the whole table over , said he was sure it was ready and more raw lobsters delaying his team, communication, delay in the fish delayed the lamb, asked the chef for another minute, didn't answer to his team and didn't show teamwork, ruined every table he touched)
Worst Individual Performance of Season 22
Jason - 11 Mistakes (asparagus, shrimp, pumpkin puree, silence, burnt gnocchi, he let Ryan plate it and didn't delegate it, scallops, shook the pan, snow white, lied to Ramsay
Simone was extremely ill, it’s not really right to blame her
For part 3 I recommend using Jen in season 18, Monique in season 14, and Kevin in season 20
I had an insane neck pain once and it was horrible. I couldn't lean my neck to the right side because it would hurt a lot. I'm pretty sure Jonathan was faking his neck pain. He seemed to casual about it.
There are many other chefs that I think had poor individual episodes, so if there is a third episode, these are the chefs I’d recommend (would also be their boot episodes):
Monique s14
Rob s8
Denine s13
Patrick s10
Devon s22
Dana s17
Roe s18
Nothing personal to these chefs, I just think they had poor individual performances.
S16 Johnny
S19 Marc
S4 Craig
S5 Giovanni
S3 Vinny
S13 Santos

Elise s17
Clemenza s10
Chino s9
J s5
Kevin s20
im currently rewatching hk and im on season 9 and i literally watched the episode Jonathan got eliminated in earlier today lmao
You could do a video on black jacket chefs that went home the same episode they won an individual challenge. I can think of at least 5.
@@nailswithglitter5795 Here’s a few;
Jimmy(S1)
Julia(S3)
Cyndi(S11)

Just subscribed bro found your channel by accident luv the content 👍
If LA had an ongoing feud with Andrea, then she would have stayed.
@@rossomac21 true, ratings also play a factor in eliminations at times
No offense why was Michael leaving here in the first place in season 14
Kinda goes without saying that Seth was quite a simp for Gordon.
10:29 Seth The pig 10:28
I expected Kevin from season 20
5:29 Isn’t that funny a quitter made fun of a quitter!
Part 3 when?
Simone shouldn’t have gotten an exit statement.
4:46
I still don't know why she said this randomly lmao
I dunno why people consider Lacey a donkey, like yeah her attitude was pretty bad, but she had 2 great services, which is more than Carol could say with her whipping 0
Simone was an odd fella.
I'm going to make 3 points
one is a critism of Ramsey and how the show regularly presents illness on the show (namely like those who are dealing with it are basically pathetic unless it nearly kills them or they beat it) its honestly disgusting and is a example of how the old chief teachings from France are disgusting as mental health and physical health issues so regularly get ignored in those kitchens to the point of major problems
the second is regarding Ramsey alone that being how his standards refer only to people that are ultimately badass people and not incredible chiefs. because although a pinched neck nerve isn't life ending taking such issue with a chef for mentioning to you a health issue and comparing them to a guy who was a major badass person not just a cook is such BS
the next is one of annoyance about public perception that being trev. although yes he had a crap service and episode he did deserve to go home. but the show and the audience as shown in this video have a tendency for villainizing the fact the dude was being harassed by the other competitors and because of it turned to one of the actual chiefs to get a fair shot is also such complete BS as at no point during that season was trev not under some form of harassment (and yes I'm saying harassment not bulling as we should call it what it is instead of the crap term we use to excuse those behaviors)
How the hell is simone 43
Should’ve also added Nedra.
I don't like S14 Josh but I would feel bad for him if he got medivaced due to that clown (Bret was medivaced later anyway for a different reason but it would slim his chances of returning in Season 18)
RIP Jonathan😢
He’s dead???
@@djuannalester4743yes. He passed in early 2022 due to a heart attack.
5 worst individual services in hk in my perspective would be
Dana all stars
Denine s13
Craig s4
Atoye s22
Nicole s21
Wasn't the best contestant in the show, but still, RIP Jonathan.
talk about a toxic work environment. if youre sick you rest, period. cant pay me enough to work sick
I'm very impressed with your strength. Imagine poor Matt only has to work through a migraine.
