I can relate to that, growing up with abusive parents is the worst thing that could happen to anyone, those are tge people who are suppose to love you the most, so when they dont give you the love that you need, it will be very difficult for you to love and believe that there are people in this world who truely love you

I recently saw the movie Portrait of a lady on fire twice because I missed some of the important messages , and it changed how I see love , being in love and loving someone. These two are a reflection of that type of love and I say to people, if you can find that kind of intense and deep love regardless of the time or person, I say go for it. I’m straight but love knows no boundaries and I would rather have that type of love in a short time that lasts forever, even apart than be in a relationship that isn’t fulfilling as it should. We all tend to settle at times. I wish them both the best if luck!
