In this video I will explain why we have a Isuzu Grafter 3.5 ton Tipper Arb Truck with a lockable tool box for my business even though we are not tree surgeons.
Looks like a brilliant vehicle, great advice once your at your level. 👍🏻
cheers mate
Nice video.
We keep a lidded biffa bin in our yard for our waste, still abit of Manual handling involved, but the benefits are great financially when u find other people willing to tip and pay the tipping cost, its a win win.
cheers. All part of the service people need 👍
Thats right, helping everyone out as we go alone :)
like having a mobile skip mate 👍good for time & motion 😁 I have my rubbish recycling much more streamlined these days . take care
have a good day mate and take care too
Absolutely love my truck, but don’t understand how to get any return on leasing, I charge 20% markup on tip prices, at three tips a week that’s £60 profit a week, hardly enough to lease a beast like yours
Good video,very interesting
thanks Stuart
Drive safely.
Good advice 👍 👀
Great vid mate. I'm currently at the stage you 'were' at. 6 yrs in and still on pickup truck and trailer. Thinking of making the step next yr. What make of truck is it ?
Cheers. Isuzu grafter. Not comfortable to dry but best truck for getting jobs done and turning circle
I would have rescued those tree cuttings, I could not leave them behind.
Right tools are key mate.
you don't need anymore 😁
@@dagtailgroundmaintenance 😁never say never.
Great video again👍
I need to take your advice on board for the truck and waste. Where do you lease the truck from and what sort of costs are involved?
Thanks
Leased from Warrington Isuzu. I have just paid the final balloon payment after 5 years. It a big commitment. If your VAT registered you can claim it back off each payment. I was paying £550 a month but prices have probably changed since. At the end they will sell it to you for a small fee as you don't own it when you lease.
@@dagtailgroundmaintenance thanks
Timely video. I'm looking to invest in my first vehicle and leaning to a tipper (currently using family estate car!). I've had reservations about poor weather and crime having access to my gear with a tipper. For my budget, tippers are usually dented, rusty and borderline look like the scrap metal man van. I've been trying to work out a solution to ensure good brand association. What category license did you need for the truck? Great video, keep them coming.
Assuming it's category C1 or C?
Category B. You can drive up to 3.5 ton. So a normal license. This truck is actually a 5.5 ton truck in Asia but downgraded to 3.5 to in the UK because we don't have a category for that weight. So it will actually handles much more weight but not legally 😉
You really want somewhere you can lock it up at night. Mine is never left outside at night.
@@dagtailgroundmaintenance good to know. Yer thinking the next house might need some accompanying land or pay for a lock-up locally.
Did you have the aluminium high sides fitted independently? If so, who by and how much were they (supply & fit)?
