That's true if (and only if) both partners have integrated their respective masculine and feminine sides. Otherwise, the relationship will be unhealthy and codependent. Both partners must be whole and integrated first. Otherwise, they will only be using the other person to complete themselves in very unconscious ways.

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Definitely. It's simple but not that easy. And society has a very limited definition of the feminine in general. So, we all also have that working against cultivating a relationship with the feminine side.

From how I was taught wisdom is on the masculine side and comes from detached big-picture information, also represented by book learning as opposed to learning from experience. And the word that was used to describe the intimate close-up feminine information was understanding. This is from eighteenth century Occult interpretation of the Hebrew tree of life where the words understanding and wisdom are used to represent the duality in it's most advanced form. I have found this to be accurate many times in my own life where I find that direct experience gives me an understanding of a thing that would be impossible trough observation only, but that detached observation gives me analytical information that is impossible from from direct experience, and I've always used the world wisdom to describe this latter form of information. Maybe that's wrong, but it's how I've always thought about it. Just wanted to write about that so I can go on watching without it distracting me lol.
Edit: Okay, finished watching it now. Awesome video as usual. It's really nice to have a spiritual teacher that teaches the middle path and balance, very few do that. And I'm also very impressed with how clear and well presented all f these are. Noticed you forgot to add a background image to your green-screen this time, but I actually liked it a lot, was sort of calming in a way. I don't know. Anyway, great work, thanks a lot for uploading.

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Actually, I left a little note at the very beginning. The lighting made it so that I couldn't key out the green screen properly. But in terms of wisdom, I'm referring specifically to Sophia wisdom, which is the formless wordless well of pure wisdom. Colloquially, we tend to use wisdom and insight interchangeably. Wisdom is feminine and insight is masculine. Wisdom is the pure substance and insight is the form it takes where it is comprehensible to the mind. So, if we hear someone sharing wisdom, it is actually insight and not wisdom. Wisdom is the form that insight took when they experienced it directly. Insight is the way what was experienced gets understood and communicated. That's the distinction between the masculine and feminine principle. The feminine is the thing in itself. The masculine is a specific expression of that thing. The feminine is being. The masculine is movement. The feminine is the ocean. The masculine is ocean waves. That's the esoteric distinction between the two polarities.
But of course, wisdom is just the way that I've chosen to refer to the formless feminine well. And insight is how I refer to the freezing of the water within that well to hold and share with the mind and words. But when someone is sharing an insight from wisdom, I could see why they would refer to it as wisdom itself, even if it's just the converted intellectual/vebal formatted version of that wisdom.

I've been Yang deprived lately since traveling and staying with so many too-feminine women. I had to get Yang somewhere, so I cultivated some male-ape type guys. After a few minutes in their presence, I got "full" and felt balanced. The women were lost in their Yin...they were whispering to each other, avoiding all male presences nearby, and staying quiet as if in church--even though they were actually in a party hostel overseas.

There are many videos / channels that explain psychology (I am especially interested in Jung).
The difference is, this channel belongs to the group of channels that explains psychology, in a way that is clear to people who are knew to these concepts (Jung to live by has high production value, but they explain concepts in a way that would be clear to people with a background in psychology, but a new student of psychology would feel lost).

Hi thank you for insightful presentations, city analogy - a very useful way to picture an interplay between Feminine and Masculine centered around emotions, very helpful for my active imagination practice in that area. I have an impression that Feminine and Masculine here means the same as Anima Animus archetype, am I right? I tend to do integration after I have better feel of how septic archetypes play role in me, what I accept and what I do not accept, The King, Father , Mother , Fool archetypes. Is this a common approach? Thanks again Stan

TLDR: Integrating both masculine and feminine perspectives on emotions is crucial for developing emotional awareness and mastery, as it allows for a balanced understanding and integration of emotions.
    1. 00:00 🧠 Integrating masculine and feminine emotional perspectives leads to deeper emotional awareness and mastery, as emotions are the same regardless of perspective.
1.1 The concept of masculine and feminine emotions is not limited to gender, but rather represents universal aspects of personality that everyone possesses.
1.2 Integrating the masculine and feminine emotional perspectives leads to a deeper emotional awareness and mastery, as the emotions themselves are the same regardless of perspective.
1.3 We all experience the same emotions, but the masculine and feminine perspectives provide different views of the same emotional landscape, and integrating both sides is important for emotional mastery.
    2. 03:16 🧠 Integrating both masculine and feminine perspectives on emotions is crucial for maintaining a balanced perspective and avoiding negative traits like coldness and emotional detachment.
2.1 It is important to integrate both the masculine and feminine perspectives on emotions in order to avoid being stuck in one point of view and to maintain a balanced perspective.
2.2 The masculine side provides a bird's-eye view of the emotional core, seeing the major landmarks but not the details.
2.3 The masculine perspective on emotions allows for a healthy stoicism, quick decision-making, and easy reading of emotions in broad strokes.
2.4 Emotional mastery is key for integrating the masculine side, and the disintegration of the feminine side can lead to negative traits such as coldness and emotional detachment.
    3. 07:03 🧠 Integrating masculine and feminine emotional perspectives is essential for understanding and mastering emotions, as the masculine lacks nuanced awareness and the feminine provides a detailed view.
3.1 Emotional integration requires zooming in on emotions to avoid becoming ungrounded, as the masculine perspective lacks nuanced awareness of emotions and benefits from cultivating the feminine side.
3.2 The feminine perspective provides a detailed, up-close-and-personal view of emotions, which requires emotional mastery to reap its benefits.
3.3 Learning to integrate masculine and feminine emotional perspectives allows for the ability to decipher and understand emotions, while the negatives arise from a lack of emotional awareness.
    4. 10:37 🧠 Developing emotional mastery and awareness is essential for integrating and regulating emotions, as repressed emotions can lead to difficulty in expressing and understanding feelings.
4.1 Emotions carry wisdom and cultivating a relationship with them is essential for emotional mastery.
4.2 Developing emotional mastery and awareness allows for skillful navigation of one's own and others' emotions, leading to integration and regulation, while lack of mastery can result in being overwhelmed by emotions.
4.3 When emotions are repressed, they can manifest in passive-aggressive behavior and manipulation, leading to difficulty in expressing and understanding one's own feelings.
    5. 13:35 🧠 Developing a balanced understanding of emotions is crucial, as society undervalues emotional intelligence and cultivating emotional awareness requires sensitivity.
5.1 Understanding emotions from a balanced perspective is important, as being too close or too far can hinder the ability to fully comprehend and interpret them.
5.2 Masculine perspective on emotions is simple and easy to master, while the feminine perspective is more nuanced and takes a learning curve, but society undervalues emotional intelligence.
5.3 Developing both the masculine and feminine perspectives is important for emotional integration, and cultivating emotional awareness requires sensitivity.
    6. 16:19 🧠 Cultivating emotional awareness involves mastering the mind and tuning into the body to deeply immerse oneself in the emotional experience, similar to taking off a rubber glove to feel textures more accurately.
6.1 Being able to tap into emotions at a deep and subtle level is an important skill, similar to taking off a rubber glove to feel textures more accurately.
6.2 Cultivating emotional awareness involves mastering the mind to affirm the presence of emotions and tuning into the body to deeply immerse oneself in the emotional experience.
6.3 Cultivate bodily awareness, practice body scan meditation and yoga, and see emotions as they are without editing or going into the mind.
    7. 19:51 🧠 Cultivate emotional awareness, validate all emotions, and integrate masculine and feminine perspectives through journaling for intellectual awareness.
7.1 Feel emotions fully without interruption, cultivate emotional awareness, and then work towards emotional mastery by training the mind to work with emotions and make wise responses.
7.2 Accept and validate all emotions that come up internally, and respond to them in a helpful and beneficial way.
7.3 Emotions are valid, but it's important to vet them and respond in a way that benefits us and others, and to convert emotional awareness into intellectual awareness.
7.4 Integrate masculine and feminine perspectives by converting emotions into a mental format through journaling for intellectual awareness.
    8. 23:59 🔑 Emotions can be converted into symbols or words for the mind to understand, but it's important to trust the mind and sink back into the direct experience of emotions for integration and shadow work.
8.1 Practice and reputation can be gained through making videos and discussing ideas with others, similar to how a file must be in a valid format to open correctly.
8.2 Convert emotions into symbols or words that can be understood by the mind, but don't get stuck in that perspective and trust that the mind will retain the information while sinking back into the direct experience of emotions.
8.3 The speaker offers a service related to the topic of integration and shadow work Tarot, and encourages viewers to contact them for more information.

so when you integrate the shadow or the anima/animus, how does one know for sure that you have integrated is successfully? how do i know that i have that I have successfully integrated it and not just have fooled myself into thinking that it has worked, in an almost placebo like way?

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

95% of the time, it's a gradual process, where you just look back and can tell that you're able to function generally better and that you're more comfortable being authentic and expressing yourself. And you notice that certain neuroses fade in intensity or completely go away. But the integration isn't super apparent when it's stretched over the course of time. It's like watching a plant grow. Without a time lapse it's difficult to tell.
But I have had several spontaneous integration experiences where it all happened instantly. And the way I would describe it is that you feel a shift in emotions, accompanied by a recognition of a familiar part of yourself. It's like that part of yourself just bubbled up to the surface and allows you to see its perspective, emotions, needs, fears, wisdom, etc.
In a couple of my experiences of integration, there was an immediate falling away of fear and pain. Like, fear and pain were really intense as those parts of me came back. But when I recognized those parts for what they were, it was like the switch just got flipped off on those emotions.
The first time I experienced spontaneous integration was during my ego transcendence experiences. And I saw through the illusion of what I thought was myself. All the ideas I would cling to about my nature, I recognized as just a projection of thought over the reality. And when this happened, I no longer had an ego/self-concept to protect. So, all of the repression of parts of myself became obsolete because there was suddenly no need for the repression.
And I would just describe it as suddenly having the light turned on to aspects of myself that I saw as antithetical to my ego/self-concept. And without fear of those parts, there was this palpable feeling of wholeness and those parts just rose to the surface of consciousness that I had no conscious access to before. But they were familiar to me. So, it was like, "Oh! I remember you." That was the feeling of it. And it just bubbled up to the surface of my awareness. And because it happened in an instant, it was really clear and obvious.
But again, most of the time, this is a gradual process where you just notice that you're able to experience more range within yourself and are less neurotic with fewer unhealthy coping mechanism.

Dive deeply into many perspectives, especially ones that undermine my cherished values. Consider that I could always be deceiving myself and find the proof that I am. Dig into my deepest wounds. Be aware of reality exactly as I perceive it. Look through many lenses to mine for insights. Be willing to see myself in unflattering lights. Lots of observation and contemplation.

I get to let go of the masculine experience and let my Anima out of the subconscious coma she has been confined to. A healthy fun form of sexual expression. It is a mental sex change that really opens the world up for Anima, Animus and the self doing no harm.

Can I ask an off-topic question - in addition to that one I mean? How would you define New Age? I realise that a lot of people use the term in an uninformed and unfair pejorative way, but does it have a clear meaning to differentiate it from other esoteric ideas - or does it just refer to _all_ esoteric material that doesn't necessarily derive from the theology or dogma of any particular organised religion?

    • @TheDiamondNet

I think New Age (in the most positive sense of the term) means looking at the variety of world religions and finding what's similar. And then also when someone takes bits and pieces from many religions to create a kind of custom religion. I also refer to spiritual but non-religious things as New Age. Pejoratively, I think it's more to describe more "fluffy" spiritual stuff like crystals and Tarot cards (both of which I love as well).

OK thanks. I've heard it used in various pejorative ways, but the one you mentioned is probably the most common.
I don't know if you've heard of Mark Passio, but he's an anarchist conspiracy theorist (another loaded term) and he's also an esotericist. He uses the term New Age to mean overly right-brained people who believe in letting it all happen. His argument is that esoteric traditions traditionally stressed balancing the intuitive and rational faculties - which seems true enough.
Then, I've discovered, there are people on the alt-right - or dissident right, who champion traditionalists like Julius Evola. I think their own pejorative take on the term New Age would be that it's lefty and globalist esotericism.. but I'm not sure. It seems like a good guess though as I gather that the traditionalists believed you had to follow one established religion even though there's truth in other ones. That seems to fit in with political nationalism than with internationalism and groups like the Theosophists do seem to be much more eclectic and also have more internationalist leanings. Perhaps Mark Passio would say the dissident right are left-brained imbalanced - that wouldn't surprise me.
As for the standard pejorative sense of just 'not serious' and fluff.. That annoyed me I just started to get into these ideas - largely via Idealist philosophers such as Schopenhauer and orientalists like Alan Watts.
It always seemed unfair to me because I can't accept materialism and it seemed to me that non 'religious' people can often - if not always, make a better case against it than religious people (plus, with religion, you have to accept all kinds of extraneous claims).
Then there's the fact that, given the history of religion, it's hard to draw a line between what's authentic tradition and what isn't, or between what's occult and what's orthodox.. but I know that's something that could be discussed forever.
Anyway... I found the term New Age annoying enough before I was aware of the darker corners of the internet, and now I'm not sure if I'm any the wiser or more confused about it than ever.

I didn't mean to suggest that Tarot cards and crystals are fluff though - I guess they might appeal more to the intuition than to reason - but as I said, I think we need both.
Anyway, thanks for answering - most people don't when I ask this question. Given how long and involved my follow-up comment was, perhaps they're right not to :)

I find that you are presenting really well, but with a caveat. You are using a lot of analogies, and that can be a very good thing. But I have a strong feeling that you deduce things first from principle, mainly yin and yang, and from that reasing arrive in some analogy, instead of having firsthand experience what is going on in people. So you are deductive instead of empirical, which to me sometimes sound pretty sterile.
