Hey Clive, yes, they are, Pride tends to put more R and D and use better components into their scooters. It seems to me the other manufactures seem to copy what Pride do but use cheaper parts. I used to do repair call outs for Drive here in Las Vegas and I've seen many a Drive product broken new out of the box. The Spitfire Scout is one of the most uncomfortable scooters I've ever ridden, cheap for a reason lol.

Looking for a new battery for my exact scooter. Bought my scooter second hand for $400; happy with it except battery runs down pretty quick. Any suggestions on how to replace the battery and box?
Depending what scooter you have you can replace just the batteries inside the pack and not the whole pack itself. Batteries can be bought from any good scooter dealer or a local Batteries Plus if you don't have a scooter dealer near you. If it is a Lithium-Ion style battery pack, then you would need to find a dealer who can get that manufactures battery pack. I would call around first and make sure you have the scooter make and model at hand.
Where can I find the exact model of Drive Spitfire on the scooter itself, like a model number? The scooter itself just says Spitfire, not Spitfire Scout etc. It is a 4 wheel scooter
Hi Susanne, sometimes the stickers and name badges get rubbed off or removed so if I can't find a model of a scooter the way I identify scooters and powerchairs is I go to www.monsterscooterparts.com/brands/drivemedical#filters: and see if I can identify the model by pictures. Hope this helps
Hi! I actually have a Drive Spitfire Scout 4. I was wondering is it possible to up the output of the motor to increase the speed. Not trying to run any races but would like to go a little faster. Also if you could give me a heads up on where I can find some more of those interchangeable color panels I would definitely appreciate it. I'm a young man who has always been interested in cars. So just like modifying a car, I would like to modify my new "car". Different color, different wheels. Just a little something different. Thanks!

Unfortunately, the controllers are programmed to only do 4mph and there is nothing more you could do that would make the scooter go any quicker.
Nothing wrong with wanting to modify your new ride, wheels might be a problem as you would have to find something with the right offset, correct center shaft diameter and also turning clearance. Of any upgrades I'd try and find a softer compound of tire and wheel as the ones on the scout and hard as nails and uncomfortable to ride on. Shourds (color panels) I would have said got to Monster Scooter Parts but with Drive scaling back their power division most Drive spare parts are already starting to run out. You could also try eBay for anything too.

What material used for clean?
For heavy soiled and greasy stuff, I use engine degreaser but for dust and overall cleaning just a general diluted cleaner.

How do you replace the panel under the dash as it won’t go over stearing column
Usually at the bottom of the tiller where the tiller adjustment handle is there are two bolts upper and lower that hold the tiller to the tiller adjustment knuckle. They have to be removed to remove the tiller to replace either the front wheel shroud or lower portion of the top console. You will also have to remove the wiring that runs up the tiller too. Hope this helps.
@@lasvegasscooterslifts I’ve removed the tilt column but the wire goes under the foot panel and through the hole were the steering column goes

No sorry I do not work on Rascal scooters as we are not dealers of that brand.
You would have to disconnect the wires from the top console and pull them through the tiller.
I need a scooter I total my vehicle last year in September had a mini stroke it was my fault they said so I lost my car cost to much to fix it I’m disabled since 1996 insurance some but not enough to cover a scooter I need to get to the grocery store needs a basket love to go visit my mom so it needs to at least go 15 miles range and I need it for indoor as well as outdoor. I would recommend something like a Victory 9 or Golden companion for that sort of range. Good luck with your search.
