Even in US is the same kung pupunta ka sa ER. Kung hindi life threatening yung sakit mo then you have to wait. BUT, kung may sarili kang doctor you don't have to wait that long to be treated.
That's the reality of health care in Canada alone. The reality when it comes to health care in Canada is complex and the challenges include 1. Access to care services that include finding a family doctor and overburdened emergency rooms. 2. Waiting times are a myth and do not exist for life-threatening conditions. Waiting has to do with serving the problem. 3. Cost - varies by income 4. Quality - Canada's health care system is mediocre at best, with poor performance in access to care, equity, health outcomes and administrative efficiency. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Health is wealth. So be careful when it comes to health, don't abuse the body, sleep enough and eat right. Being health smart is making informed decisions about your health and wellness, and working with your own doctor to create a plan that fits your values.🧑⚕
Totoo yan matagal emcy dito.
The countries with the best Healthcare systems are dual - they have both Universal and Private Healthcare. The people with insurance from their Companies or individual plans will tend to go Private while the rest of the public can avail of Public Services. This is what we have in HK as I can choose quicker service via private hospital via my Company's insurance plan or wait a bit longer and get free service at a Public Hospital. For some reason Canada is afraid to have Private Healthcare thinking it's Elitist which is a stupid notion. It's stupid because you have million dollar homes and mansions, Private schools, Resorts and Expensive restaurants in Canada that only higher income people can afford so why not for Healthcare as well? Even if you have private hospitals the Public system will continue to exist and will have less people using it which means faster service and more resources for everyone.
obligated pa rin magbayad ng health insurance just to make it sure na whatever happens to a person who pays his/her insurance eh pag she/he needed na maemergency atleast yun insurance nya magbabayad dun at matic uunahin syang asikasuhin agad agad....gone were the days like what happen to me and my cousin then, she slip into a frozen pavement at nadulas sya at tumama yun butt at head nya sa pavement nuon, she asked na ma ER sya nun,at hayun matic inasikaso sya agad without health insurance pa yan ha....sa pagkakaalam ko that was 1999 nuon wala pa silang binabayarang insurance...joke nga nya konting sakit ng ibang canadians nagpapa ER agad kasi wala naman bayad that time....ngayon dahil dumami populasyon nila at umasa sa free healthcare yun iba hayun lugi na government na magprovide ng libreng hospitalization na....

Meron ako mga relatives mostly father side metatagal na sila jan sa Canada and been there many times. I don't think maganda health care system jan sobra tagal ng waiting hour. Not like here in the U.S meron appointment or wala pero hindi ganyan katagal.
