2:51 You can see the massive dent on the rim also!
Great tutorial, btw. I have a broken spoke on the back wheel of my electric bike, where the electric motor is. The spokes connect from the rim on to the electric motor at the centre of the wheel.
The spokes are half the length of normal bike spokes because of the room taken by the electric motor.

Yes great it’s very quick this way and just out of curiosity how many spare spokes do you carry and where do you store them so they don’t injure you or get bent?

Just a couple depending on what sizes you need - KOM hubs has the same spoke length on disc and drive side which is useful. I would only keep inside a backpack if you have a back support of some sort in there. Otherwise taped to the frame, inside a frame storage compartment or inside a battery compartment if you have an E-bike are probably the best places.

I carry 2 spokes inside the handlebar. Just wrap the spokes in a plastic bag, remove the handlebar grip and insert them inside. Done.

Another place to store spokes is tape them to your spokes or to the frame

Awesome. You may want to add the following to the title of this video "How to replace a spoke without removing the cassette".

Don't even worry about replacing that spoke on the trail because your rim is going to have to be replaced anyway. Look at the damaged rim at 2:51. Just ride it on home and take care of it there.

just bought a new ebike and seen the spoke nipple is broken on back wheel, so you can not loosen ot tighten with the spoke wrench, should i return bike or is will it be a night mare to replace spoke at later date, as tool can not loosen?

Unfortunately this involves removing tyre, rim-tape, replacing the nipple, re-taping and re-fitting tyre - another reason to use good quality brass nipples. Good luck!

Spoke wrench my ass. A simple pair of needle nosed pliers is fine.
