There were so many of these,Saturday night on BBC1.That was the height of TV entertainment in the 70s,Dick Emery,Mike Yarwood,Porridge,Two Ronnies and Morecombe and Wise.If you was an adolescent it would have been hard to go out when there was stuff like that on TV
Saturday evenings in grandmothers house, big fry for all family (about 20 cousins, aunts uncles etc) Dr Who, Generation Game, Dick Emery on the telly. Simple times and better. Proper TV. Truly GREAT COMEDY.
What a lovely set of ladies he makes highly believable so many different characters too ,and an amazing gang lots of giggles ,the good old days of entertainment ,a joy to see these episodes again, rest in peace pat dick and others passed on in this thank you for these treasured episodes ,all the best to dick emery’s and pats living family .pat reminds of my late gran god rest her soul.
Absolutely, and when you could make jokes about every creed, colour and lifestyle, and everyone was ok with that. I am Irish and I loved all if his micky takes of us, never took offence.
So true I'm Irish and love. And laugh my head off when he plays the Irish detective we could all do with calming down these days if you say anything about coulee or what country you come from they cry rasist instead of just laughing at it
I'm from a generation where this era of comedy is supposed to be really offensive and honestly I was very underwhelmed (not disappointed!) when I started watching it. I'm not offended in the slightest, I love it! 🙂
Dick Emery the best days of my life
World of Dick Emery,
Thanks for more fun with the man of many characters!

This was from a time when comedy really was funny. xx
This comedy is representative of how carefree and funny this era was. How precious we now are with litigation and egg shells at our feet.
Absolute classic!!! 🤣😀🇬🇧

Brilliant, happy memories
They should have made a sitcom with Lampwick.
I totally agree, one of his funniest characters
