Why did you move to Devon originally? Do you still have family and friends in Lincs? I am from East Yorkshire, and live in Devon, its tempting to go back mainly due to house prices, but my kids are settled here, will your kids not miss Devon?
We moved to Devon for an adventure and have loved it. We have family in Lincs and a few friends up here too. I think we’ll all miss Devon at times but the kids have all moved on and so it’s the perfect time
You are so lucky your family seems so sorted, my boys are 16 and 19, one is autistic and the other still at home with no idea what he wants to do, in meantime our parents passed away and mum in a care home with advanced dementia, we are thinking about our next step, Beverley is where I grew up and would like to be there but also here, it's a hard one. The villages in Lincolnshire have exactly same architectural styles as East Yorkshire.
We are looking at Exeter but so expensive we live between South molton and tiverton and its been great but too quiet really now for boys, my friends are quite scattered now.
My partner is from Nottingham he looked at Lincolnshire it was super cheap about 5 years ago but less so now. It will be interesting to follow your journey. Weather in Devon too wet, much drier in East as wellx
We moved to Devon for my partners job 23 years ago, from York. Sometimes I wish we had stayed there but life takes us on unexpected journeys doesn't it? Take care, BTW followed you for years but rarely comment x
