Very cool! Keen to get this up and running on my NAS and integrate it into my home weather system. Is this data flow correct: home-weather-station pushes data to mqtt --> Node red subscribes to mqtt --> node red pushes data to database
Could you make a video for the simple data logger where receive data from MODBUS RTU RS-485 and Pub/Sub over MQTT with node red running in ESP 32 / RPi devices.
Hi, can you help me? I have mosquito up and running, I can publish and subscribe via the terminal, but when I try localhost:1883 port on moderes it stucks at connecting and nothing happens, what could be the problem?
Thanks for the video. It seem to me that these work only within "things" connected to the same wifi. How can I set it up to be able to trigger the light from a browser connected to the internet anywhere in the world?
Yeah you can find a host like dweet.io where you can pub/sub to things without needing MQTT. I'm sure there are other options out there where you're working across the WWW not your local network.
OK i am already confused. You have Node-RED running in a terminal AND in the Node-Red web browser window? Is there a raspberry pi running mosquitto as a broker somewhere? Is this all on one computer?
The IP address she is using is localhost, so that would suggest that Node-Red is not on a different computer but all on her Mac ( as indicated by the UI and Apple Terminal)

Helpful but _ what about receiving messages from multiple publilshers _ like _ a broker?

Can I use this principle for communication of two raspberry pi. One raspberry will control the pin output of another raspberry pi?
Yes
Super!
Thank you! Cheers!
I cant understand , why I need Mosquitto?
Why can't I connect the esp8266 with the Node-Red on the Computer ?
