"Back to the roots"-kind of thing, an honoring to skateboards. Size, such as hights or other, are not the same I think but very alike. Also it's easier to manufacture, the OG's required quite a complicated process.
A good thing about the wooden board (or is it called "deck"? english is not my first language.) is that, as freelineskates[dot]com says, "The Pro model will allow for a new revenue stream in the replacement wood deck business and we hope to utilize this new platform to promote the crews and athletes who are the true pioneers of our wonderful new sport."
