True i dont really take the last year for frank being fair. Like franks offense was bad and kept giving the ball back. Frank also lost the locker room. Now last year we still had problems but we did have some good. Injuries and lack of consistency are what eventually made the defense not play the best. Im taking last season was gus real 1st year cuz with frank he didnt have the best situation.
I respect how forthright Gus was across this media session: he offered strong opinions across detailed responses, often using examples to emphasize or contextualize a given point. Really engaging, thoughtful answers from a coordinator in an era where canned non-responses are not uncommon.
I haven’t been a fan of Gus Bradley’s defense for us in the time he’s been here, but the way he just broke things down in response to these questions shows a different level of attentiveness. I feel like the defense is going to be special this year, DL and LB units can be up there with the best of em in the league, if the CB’s step up we winnin the ship
I am a bit nervous about our secondary but I'm putting my trust in knowing these guys have gained some chemistry and more knowledge of league level play, and with our explosive defensive front I'm convinced they can mess with the QB enough to make less accurate throws to help our secondary make big plays and the ball.
I hope Latu helps the secondary a lot with his pressure, tough I would feel better if they sign a vet for it. Maybe Gilmore again just his expierence would help a lot
@@AzureKite-c4j it definitely is at least at first glance. We had a lot of defensive injuries. If you can't play you can't help plus our defense has been ranked 28th the last 2 years. If you don't call that a problem then I don't know man.
@@AzureKite-c4j Most definitely a problem. We sacked Stroud six times the first matchup, and only once in the last game. Gus' lack of aggression in play calling has cost us numerous times. This is his last year to get his act together.
@@jamelramseur stroud got better the schemes didn’t change yeah I’m gonna have to respectfully disagree with you heavily he dealt with rookie corners one being hurt frequently loss of the heart of the defense in shaq and Grover being an idiot and suspended still managed to scrap together serviceable defense without a high-quality pass rusher. Who do you want him to be aggressive with?
28th in points allowed the past two years isn’t good enough.
Hopefully Latu will help with that

He absolutely has to be on the Hot Seat. Our Defense, particularly our secondary has been dreadful oh his watch.
@@jonmcclane7433 totally agree.
Doesn’t help there’s barely any talent on that defense.
It just feels different this year. Lets go COLTS!
It sure in the heck does Go Colts

we still have cap space and time. but i feel ya
Wish you blitz more Gus !!!!
I love my Colts
Pressure on the QB makes DBs look fantastic
Finally we get to hear from Gus! Since the first draft pick was defense, I wanted to hear from Gus right after the draft was complete!
Lets F'n GOOOOOOOOOO COLTS

Letssss gooooo GUSSSS!!! Lombardi coming back HOME to Indy where it BELONGS! BOOK IT!! #fortheshoe
Kyzir white, drue tranquill are some other former safeties converted to linebackers in guss past defense
The weakest link of the Colts is this guy. His Defense is the reason I’m not optimistic about our success.
lol what? You think defense is the problem?
