It's really bizarre how many scenes and storylines they're leaving Stephanie out of when she's played by the best actress on the show and is the original LEAD of the show! Every one of these scenes and storylines could be improved just by letting her drive them.

A soap is always in a creative rut when there are too many scenes at the hospital (or police station). Macy recently got out of the hospital and now Jack and Ridge are there at the same time. Where are the boardroom and bedroom scenes? Where's the glamor and scandal and intrigue?

Sheila's taking advantage of Ridge's accident but so is Eric! We know he's still in love with Brooke and he's practically putting the moves on her in the hospital. Sheila thinks Ridge's death would bring her and Eric closer together but it would actually free Eric to pursue Brooke again.
And there's precedent for this. As others have mentioned in this thread, the last time Ridge was in the hospital (after getting beaten up outside Pierres), Eric outright stated that he found it hard to care about Ridge's condition and was only concerned with Brooke's reaction to it. 😬
Trish either deserves a raise or a promotion to a managerial position. She's the only one at Forrester who puts in a full day's work. The company would sink without her.

Looking forward to Ridge's blindness so Taylor, as "Carol" or whatever, can visit Ridge while he convalesces. I am assuming this is what will happen. Temporary blindness was a huge soap trope in the 1980s and 1990s. Blake had it on Dynasty. NuNat on AMC had it before her Christmas miracle. And a few others I cannot remember.
Too many unlikely things in this story. Too unlikely for Ridge to have been brought to the same hospital as Taylor is/visits. The Eric -Sheila relationship, why can't Eric file for a divorce? Why is it dragging on and on? It is strange that a very powerful man like Eric cannot end his marriage. The lab/explosion story seems to limp a lot. Why wasn't any other employee checking every now and then the temperature in the oven. Why didn't Ridge look at the temperature as soon as he walked inyo the lab. Why wasn't there some kind of alarm to let them know that the oven had been overheated. Also there were mobile phones those days. I remember my cousin who came to Greece from Australia, to see me in 1994 and he was using a mobile phone with an antenna and he was talking to his employees in Australia.
For DAYS now I've been trying to understand why there's no smoke detector at the very least in the lab. They are lucky the explosion apparently was contained in the lab. That building is full of flammable cloth.. Easy for the whole place to have caught fire. Also, with chemicals exploding, the entire building should have been evacuated. This was supposed to be breaking news... I know, as everyone says.. It's only a soap.. But still... 😕
Trish needs Sharon (WHO?) to answer some calls so Trish can get some work done. Isn't Trish a secretary and receptionist who... answers the phone as part of her job?
Wow, John McCook really bringing on his worst acting game here. Not that he ever brought on good acting. No reaction to what the doctor said about his son almost dying and zero reaction when rigde wakes up. Stephanie's desperation though. She chases around town talking to doctors and therapists who have no right to be discussing their patients with her. Always trying to find a way to convince Eric to leave Sheila or find a way to end the marriage herself. So convinced that Eric will come back to her, even though he has made it clear for years that he wants nothing to do with her in a romantic sense. She thought he was coming back to her after divorcing Brooke, but he moved on to Sheila, and will have yet another dalliance which I won't mention out of respect for new viewers. She has done far worse in her quest to get Eric back than anything Brooke has ever done in regard to Ridge, yet she sits in judgement. And this is what makes Stephanie such a horrible character.

I think when Ridge gave up Brooke and married Taylor…all was forgiven by Eric. Eric became infatuated with Sheila and then he had Steph as his ever loving ex wife to listen to and advice him. Eric seemed in complete support of a Ridge and Brooke redo. 🥰

Looking forward to Ridge's blindness so Taylor, as "Carol" or whatever, can visit Ridge while he convalesces. I am assuming this is what will happen. Temporary blindness was a huge soap trope in the 1980s and 1990s. Blake had it on Dynasty. NuNat on AMC had it before her Christmas miracle. And a few others I cannot remember.
Too many unlikely things in this story.
Too unlikely for Ridge to have been brought to the same hospital as Taylor is/visits.
The Eric -Sheila relationship, why can't Eric file for a divorce? Why is it dragging on and on?
It is strange that a very powerful man like Eric cannot end his marriage.
The lab/explosion story seems to
limp a lot. Why wasn't any other employee checking every now and then the temperature in the oven.
Why didn't Ridge look at the temperature as soon as he walked inyo the lab.
Why wasn't there some kind of alarm to let them know that the oven had been overheated.
Also there were mobile phones those days. I remember my cousin who came to Greece from Australia, to see me in 1994 and he was using a mobile phone with an antenna and he was talking to his employees in Australia.
The SLs always have many plot holes.
For DAYS now I've been trying to understand why there's no smoke detector at the very least in the lab.
They are lucky the explosion apparently was contained in the lab. That building is full of flammable cloth.. Easy for the whole place to have caught fire.
Also, with chemicals exploding, the entire building should have been evacuated. This was supposed to be breaking news...

Wow, John McCook really bringing on his worst acting game here. Not that he ever brought on good acting. No reaction to what the doctor said about his son almost dying and zero reaction when rigde wakes up.
They really let two of the worst actors of the show (John and kkl) play scenes with emotional charge. They bring on nothing. 🙈🙊🤦♀️

Stephanie's desperation though. She chases around town talking to doctors and therapists who have no right to be discussing their patients with her. Always trying to find a way to convince Eric to leave Sheila or find a way to end the marriage herself. So convinced that Eric will come back to her, even though he has made it clear for years that he wants nothing to do with her in a romantic sense. She thought he was coming back to her after divorcing Brooke, but he moved on to Sheila, and will have yet another dalliance which I won't mention out of respect for new viewers. She has done far worse in her quest to get Eric back than anything Brooke has ever done in regard to Ridge, yet she sits in judgement. And this is what makes Stephanie such a horrible character.
Stephanie was right about Brooke eventually leaving Eric for Ridge and right about Sheila being bad news.

And she was minding her business when lustric started to come daily uninvited to her house and has romantic dinners with her and whines about his wife to her and kisses her. She is pretty consitent and there can be absolutely no doubt for him how she feels about him. He is the one playing with her and giving her all the mixed signals, instead of being honest and straight forward and acting that way.
