    Always amazed at people's talent to be able to carve out something from a block whether it be a simple wooden spoon or the detailed David statue.

    While I really like Asmr with zen music, or sounds of nature, what I absolutely love is just hearing stuff being created... Wood carving, needle felting, cooking videos...
    Also, it's interesting to see the way you hold the piece of wood, and carve away from your hands, cause you make it look easy, but it can actually be a very dangerous craft!

    My dad has woodworking as a hobby and my opa had beekeeping as a hobby, along with woodworking too most likely. So like a lot of things I grew up with my dad doing, I caught onto it and started to love it, the same thing happened with games like the original Zelda, Mario, and Metroid games, and I've been recently introduced to Ninja Gaiden. By this point I've made some wooden replicas of medieval or fantasy weapons, suiting my interest in medieval warfare (I'm interested in learning about past wars in general, primarily World War 1 and 2, along with medieval battles and other ancient warfare). I really enjoy doing it and it's all really calming while being able to be equally physically intensive with bigger things.

    Is that safety tape for wood splinters or can it protect against chisel too?

    • @BeaverCraftTools
      @BeaverCraftTools  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The safety tape doesn't prevent direct blade cuts but it is great for avoiding small cuts and abrasions during your working with a knife or a chisel

    As a beginner artist, I should take inspiration from this video. Each stroke doesn't make a spoon. It's the combination of all the rough ones that work towards the right shape.
