She gave a beautiful, heartfelt, performance. She stood to the haters with grace and courage. Rare commodities on that Eurovision stage. The jury’s vote reflected the cowardice of our countries leaders. Eden got the people vote who sent a big fuck you to the haters and a warning to the cowards and the appeasers who govern us.
Isreal had a massive campaign for voting for her. There was a billboard on times Square, New York, calling for peopple to vote for her 'up yo 20 times' , so most votes she received was from people who actually didn't even see her performance, or the other performances, whicjh is reflected in the amount of streams the song had.

She was a heroine to sing like that with all the booing and hatred. Brave young woman with an angel's voice, and that includes all the dancers as well. Bravo!!!! They represented beautifully their lovely country which does have the right to defend itself, and contrarily to what the "propaganda" says, is not aiming on civilians, but unfortunately fighting against a terror group that doesn't care for it's people, and hides among them, and uses their death to remain in power and receive more money from throughout the world.

Eden is only 20 years old and a complete professional, she was focused on the song and the performance and less the things that tried to distract her, which shows that she is a great singer and those who tried to interfere, did not succeed!! They always said that there is no politics in Eurovision, ok... the judges ignored her, isn't that politics??🤔 The audience loved her and Eden even though she came in 5th place with all the fuss, she definitely won and no, she didn't have to be in first place and that's a good thing, Because next year we should have seen all these hypocrites send their representatives to Israel. It is very noticeable from the things you are saying that you don't know much about Israel and Palestine, you didn't even know they were speaking Hebrew... Therefore i think that if you wish to express any opinion on this conflict you should go and learn the whole history of it since about 2000 years ago until now and only then you will be able to express a legitimate opinion on any of it. I think it's quite ridiculous that people are talking about this as if they know anything about it when they clearly have no clue. I think you can really look for some videos that explain the whole history of this land and get more educated about the subject if it interests you especially if you are expressing opinions on it online to the public where a lot of people are watching you and you might be spreading wrong information due to lack of knowledge

@COUNTYGAINS I thought you were balanced and fair in your assessment of the vocals here. And i originally liked your comment and upvoted it. However, I've watched and listened to the performance many times since. I think it's only fair to point out, and I would encourage anyone to do so to look again, and take into consideration the position that she held at the very start and just count how many seconds she held it for. She then has to rise from that position and instantly sing. It's quite incredible, really. Seriously, have a look. I couldn't believe it. She holds it from well before the camera actually zones in on her and is holding the position when the song is being introduced on screen. I'm going to cut her some slack for not being vocally strongest at the start. Overall performance, taking everything and including the intimidation she faced by some into consideration. The performance was far better than 'good' imo.

Israel is participating in every international event as part of the European nations even though Israel is in Asia , that includes all the international sport competitions such as The Euro in Football, Euro-basket in basketball ecc. what basically happened is that they were adopted by Europe after the Asian countries(middle east included) didn't allow them to compete or qualify to any international competition as part of the Asian countries

Gosh I love how western ppl who know nothing of the Middle East or its history voice their opinion about what is right or wrong. Second of all 2/3 of the Jewish population in Israel came to Israel fleeing from Arab countries and north African countries such as Yemen, Morocco, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and many more…only a third of the Jewish population arrived from Europe and the American. This notion of Jews being only European is wrong, I am a Yemenite Jew my grandparents fled Yemen due to persecution to find a safe haven in the state of Israel even before it was established in 1948.

Most Israelis aren't European and have never stepped foot in Europe. Jews are people of middle eastern origin in Judea, and most Israeli population is middle-eastern. Hebrew is our indigenous language.

It’s got nothing to do with whether a country is in Europe or not. Countries are entitled to enter Eurovision if their National Broadcaster is a member of the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) who runs the contest. Israel’s IBA/IPBC have been members since 1957 and Australia’s ABC/SBS have been associate members since 1950. Same reason countries like Azerbaijan, Turkey, Morocco have all been in it in the past. Countries like Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, even Vatican City can enter if they wanted to as their national broadcasters are all members. Canada (also an associate member) have entered Eurovision Young Dancers in the past, and Kazakhstan enter Junior Eurovision too.
israel was ruled by British for many years and thats why people is part of europe (also compete in euros in football its country in the middle east who ruled by europe and most israeli people are from europe countrys like spain portugal poland belgium france all jews from middle east moved to israel after ww2 thats why we are still called europe :) (for example i can have spanish / portugal passport + my israeli passport) cuz my roots are from spain then portugal then syria (arabic cant get passport) and israeli now :)

I appreciate you liking Eden and her voice, it's obvious why. But please let me correct you on: You mentioned there is a war between 2 countries. Israel is not fighting a country (Palestine is not a country and never was - check the history). Israel is fighting Hamas, a terror organization. And to make sure this will never happen again and in order to bring back 133 hostages in captivity, she is still fighting this war. Second, Israel participates in Eurovision since 1973, I guess its a bout time to get over the issue "why is Israel participating if they are not in Europe", its so old...

Omg the ignorance. Moroccan Oil has been sponsoring this shitshow only the last 3 years, Israel has been an active member of the EBU even before it got officially invited to participate in the Eurovision in 1973. As for the song, it's a solid ballade with a gorgeous staging.
She easily would have won without the politics. The jury loves ballads and her voice was easily the best in the show. There are very few Jews in Europe and they don’t have nearly enough sway to change countries votes.
