I started to go for platinum trophies last year and since than I had a lot of fun playing games. Definetly recomending everyone who thinks about starting hunting for platinum thropies to just start. It is a great hobby.
My Platinum hunting started with the first Platinum in 2008 shortly after the patch went live. Now I've hit most of those walls you mentioned and also have my fair share of Grubby Plats but will say most even if easy were enjoyable to play. Theres 2 biggest gripes I have with types of trophies. 1 - Grind Trophies, ones you need hours and hours beyond beating the base game to obtain after the game has been exhausted of everything you can do but do the same thing over and over for hours. 2 - Requirement trophies - What I mean is trophies that have a strict stipulation to achieve that is hard to obtain unless you're really good at that type of game, and most of these fall under Multiplayer. Be the MVP player in a match, Top leaderboard leader, win streak, or something that requires a full lobby of players to do. Im to the point now where, just play the games you can enjoy, if you can get the Plat great but don't let not getting the Platinum trophy keep you from playing a good game and just get the most trophies you can out of it. If you try to 100% everything you play, you will stress yourself out.
I agree. Multiplayer trophies are some I really have a problem with because they destroy the possibility of obtaining many. Like for example, Max Payne 3. I have it for my PS3 and I can't platinum because the servers are offline. Which means I'm not leaning towards playing it, although it's a great game. I don't want to focus on getting other trophies because it makes 0 sense to do so without platinum
My adventure with platinum began in 2015. When I bought my first console. The first game in which I achieved platinum was Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor and since then I have been addicted to platinum games. And from that point on, I made every mistake on the list at least once. 😕 But fortunately, I'm working on making games and platinum them more enjoyable. 😁
My first platinum, the one that set my trophy hunting in motion, was GoW(2018) It was a but tedious with collectibles but I really enjoyed the newest addition to one of my favourite game franchises. I'm now headed for my 19th plat which will be hollow knight
I have 107 platinums at the moment with just over 5500 trophies earned. The one advice I can give is have fun don’t play games just to get trophies but play games you want to play and enjoy.
i started trophy hunting in 2018 (im slow af and i take shit ton of brakes) trought my uncle who helped me to get the plat in lego harry potter 1-4 and i remember the hype when i got the platinum
Extra tip: Discord is your friend with online trophies. I've gotten the platinum trophies in multiple games thanks to some helpful fellows that were willing to lend a hand. I got platinum trophies in Fall Guys, FROMSOFTWARE Souls games, and Gigabash to name a few thanks to some amazing people. Difficulty trophies and online trophies are a menace. I can handle RNG trophies, but I've had a few be aggravating. First Platinum was Final Fantasy 13 way back in 2010. My latest one was Persona 3 Reload that I just got about a week ago. Currently working on Stellar Blade and Ghostrunner.
i started trophy hunting 2 years ago didnt even know it was a thing till then still remember that feeling when my first platinum popped amazing its was ghost of tsushima
Im currently restarting to obtain platinum trophiesagain this year. All starting with every assassin creed game. Back in 2014 i obtained the platinums for assassins creed all the way through to the lastest one at that time assassins creed 4 black flag. That was so fun and enjoyed it so much i even recorded the gameplay of them and shared it here on youtube, sadly can not remember what the channel was named and can not find the best period of gaming for me. I want to go back and do it now since i am starting to find games boring again and want to feel the fun and enjoyment i have for playing games again. It also want to hunt platinum trophies now since i found out a few days ago i was 1 trophyaway from obtaining my first platinum trophy on my playstation account for spider man remastered. Im sad i didnt finiish it but now im going back to finish both spider mans before i play spider man 2 and complete all assassins creed as well, i know this is going to be a grind but gives me excitement when i start my playstation up now.
Recently started this hobby and I decided that I'll play games that I want and only platinum them, if it looks fun and doable for me. I'd never start a game with the "goal" of getting the plat. Right now for example, I'm working on Ghost of Tsushima, I had like 60% of the trophies already anyways and just needed help with something like the "cosplay trophy" and the next ones I'd like to do tackle are Spyro and Bloodborne. Because I play and love these games anyways, I've never started them with the intention of getting the Platinum for them.
I have been been going for platinums for 2 years but i’m very slow I have around 15 about 10 are grubby platinum the most recent game i’ve platinum is assassin creed 2 after around 6 months I usually just go in blind because I still enjoy games sometimes but i don’t always want to platinum them
Until dawn was my first platinum in 2015 and at 2024 I am at 45 platinum trophies. I have games on my list where I would love to platinum but certain things are blocking me e.g. mortal kombat at 11 I can’t complete the strategy tutorials to save my life
Recently I have begun platinum hunting because I felt bored and don't know what to Play so trying to Plat a game I like might take that boredom off though the advice said in this video is nice to hear once and a while
First platinum was Destiny back in 2015. Just kinda happened and I didn't care about trophies. Been trophy hunting ever since. 225 platinums as of today. There's definitely a couple dozen easy plats on there, but I'm overall pretty happy with my trophy collection. 10,422 total 225 platinum 1,260 gold 2,266 silver 6,671 bronze Currently playing Lords of the Fallen and It Takes Two. Unsure which one I'll plat first, but they're both really good so far.
I started trophy with Batman. The telltale series was my first pet and then that liquor that I got first uncharted drakes fortune, and then I got Mass Effect one legendary edition Disney’s Aladdin in the lion king. And then Batman, Arkham asylum
I am not joking when I say that if you are a person with diagnosed OCD like me, be very careful. I went down a bad obsessive road with trophy hunting. The best piece of advice in this video is definitely Go Touch Grass. Being a healthy trophy hunter as well as a gamer is managing your play time and not getting carried away with it.
it happened by accident. I played Midnight Deluxe on my vita a few years ago because iw as craving angry birds and the game was on sale for a dollar. got the platinum without realizing i was getting all the trophies then after it popped i looked into platinum trophies on youtube. the next day I Started a 2 month endeavor of getting red dead redemption1 platinumed from scratch as I had never played it before.
I’m currently at 70 plats and working on Mafia 3, fantastic game but the amount of buggy trophies and counters that reset if you close the game, shutdown your console or experience a crash (which is allot)
I got my first Platinum Trophy by accident in 2017 with the Mad Max game. It was the only game I had in high school so after beating the game I decided to do all the in game challenges, which most were connect to trophies. I then started Platinum Hunting in 2019, and since then I have 19 Platinums so far, right now I’m working on my 20th Platinum with The Last of Us part 2, and I’m almost done, I just need to collect all the collectibles I missed and upgrade all my weapons. But honestly wished I watched a guild for all the collectibles for my first play through cause it to me 20hrs to beat the game, and now I might have to play another 20hr just to get the platinum, but it’ll be worth it once I get it!
I sometimes play an easy platinum as a pallette cleanser, but i admit that it's not a good thing. I try to play easy plats that are actually half decent games.
Random Trophies: i look at you "One Piece Pirate Warriors" Coin Collecting Trophy or "Kingdom Hearts ReChain of Memoires" Card Collecting Trophy. Doing the same thing over and over again until the Game decide you get it. No skill, but alot of patience needed.
I’ve been playing since 2016. I have like 4/5 trophies for the platinum. But is hero’s I don’t play. Only way would be to boost… would be super proud to have that Platinum though.
I didn’t start out trying to hunt the trophies for Overwatch 2 but since I had about a dozen of them left I decided to start really trying for them. Had to boost the Hanzo one since my god that one is impossible otherwise. Now I only have 9 left. 6 are hero related and one of them remaining is the friend trophy. Why won’t it auto pop since I earned the spray on my switch 😩
I've got 47 platinuum and I'm working on Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. Critical mode done, Aqua diary almost done but I'm pretty tired about this game, I think I'll drop for almost a month and just enjoy (and platinum) Spider-Man 2.
Started back in 2020 with the time the pandemic afforded me, now I'm hooked and have 169 plats down. Some of my favorites are most of the Assassin's Creed series, Witcher 3, Persona 5, Star Wars Force Unleashed, Bioshock, Soulcalibur 5 and 6
Well the first platinum i got was for the spiderman ps4 game back in 2020 after that i was hooked, i also go for 100% completion on the game even if the plat doesn't require it
@@platinumtrophyreview I won't rush it it's my senior year so while I'm gaming my priority will be to plat it gaming won't be my priority it will be a hobby that I'll do on my free time not a hobby that I made free time for missing stuff like I did until 10th grade
We should be able to delete or disable earning trophies entirely if we wanted. I think this would ease the stress of trophy hunthing, aside from just changing our mindset.
I hate giving up on a Platinum trophy. Recently I had to uninstall Trek to Yomi, a beautiful looking game which has the worst combat inputs of any recent title. This game needed far more Quality Assurance before being shipped out, even though it's a download only. Playing this game on "Ronin" difficulty makes the margin for error ridiculous. There are ways to stun enemies but oftentimes these end up interrupted or not working at all. It's the worst kind of "rock-paper-scissors." Also, there have been times where an enemy has immediately snapped out of a "Heavy Stun," almost like the game deciding when it wants you to progress, if it wants you to progress. I could keep at it, but the process would make me increasingly miserable and frustrated. Essentially, games are supposed to be fun, not a chore. I hope the developer Flying Wild Hog does better in the future.
