So far it has ALL of the components to be my "Go to" game - loot, great visual style (Wildstar meets Torchlight), dynamic gameplay, open world areas, while adding that Warframe's "you can get all of the thing by playing". Which is really wonderful.
I really hope this game does well- very much the kind of game I see myself putting thousands of hours in. Too bad I couldn't get started early with the latest playtest, but I really can't wait. Thank you for the coverage videos Tater.
IF it gets mounts, I hope they will go with the Guild Wars 2 route of mounts where the 9 different mounts actually feel different and have their own uses.
This feels like one of those "too good to be true" type of build ups for a game. I hope they can follow Warframe's reasonable monitization because it already looks to be about as fun and I'm really digging the art and combat from video. 🤞
This gives more than I need from my hopes for Airship syndicate properties. Character customisation and colour palletes for free seems essential with so few characters at launch.. I hope the grind is more acceptable than warframe.
You'll have access to tons of dyes right off the bat, with customization on individual components. Lots of additional dyes and cosmetics will be unlockable as you progress to show off your achievements
Ah, that's a shame there won't be player trading. Trading really does take a lot of strain off of grinds if players can exchange items when they need to. Imbuements sound good, if they work like "relic sharing" does...is there any indication that activities will award the same things to everyone who partakes, at least? I watch a lot of Destiny content and it's so frustrating to see people still struggling to get a raid exotic, for example, when squadmates get multiple drops over the course of however many runs, and certain people are left wanting or giving up. At least if there isn't trading, knowing everyone gets the same drop means no one is technically disappointed when farming together. But yeah, overall, sounds like great information and preview. Honestly, it's exactly what I'd want to see in a DE collab with another dev studio. DE brings the gameplay they've refined over nearly 10 years of Warframe, while Airship Syndicate brings their definitive art and boistrous characters and environments, etc. to a new game, an MMO no less so definitely aiming high! Can't wait to dig in!
@Leonardo Henrique Crubellatti You're not wrong that trading can cause issues, however I don't agree that it's hard to get right. The benefit it offers to help ease the pain of some grinds and farms for legit players far exceeds the issues that only sometimes arise with economies. My point is, depending on the environment and community, at least in my view, it's worth the risk. There are enough games that pretty much nail it to follow as a blueprint that, in 2022, it shouldn't be seen as impossible.
The goal will always be to encourage community and engagement while creating a free and fair ecosystem. The danger with trading is the inevitable scalping and black market, pay to win mechanics that pop up. That said, we will always listen to what the players have to say and if a compromise needs to be made to make sure everyone has the best experience, their voices will be heard
There is a potential that this game can achieve the complete game from being said . I really wish for it . I love this type of graphics. Wildstar used to be my favorite and this one really hit the spot
I've been looking for something to fill the gap since I gave up on Warframe when the New War failed to excite me and the content that's been released since then has failed to make me want to play the game again. I'll be giving this a go I think, the art style reminds me of Dauntless.
Super excited for this. Love airship and de. I'm on Xbox and was super happy when I saw xbox added to the official page. Looking forward to watching others stream the early access one all the nda play tests are done.
On the one hand, glad that stuff can be earned instead of just being bought only. On the other, I shudder to think what you’d have to do to get the stuff in question. I’m expecting insane challenges, like going flawless in a run or not getting hit for20 minutes or something
New waves of invites have been sent for the tests but sadly the login on website is broken so i wouldnt even know if i'll be sent any invites :( hope i can play the game soon
Tact, whats your opinion on the warframe region locking being imposed on several countries as said by DE and also mention by GrindHardSquad in his video about it?
The only thing I hope is that the game doesn't have P2W/P aspects of any kind. It looks cool, sounds cool, and is really promising but the moment it has any P2W/P, it's kinda a deal breaker. If it only have small aspects of P2W/P, maybe that would be ok. Other than that, I'm really looking forward into the game's release
One of the biggest things the team is keeping in mind while building the game and monetization structure... there's a reason partnership with DE made so much sense
@@sir_snarf I do understand monetization will be part of the game and I'm more than happy to give! All I'm hoping is that it doesn't fall into the side of too much P2P. Really looking forward to it! ^^
Proof will be in the pudding! Only thing we can do for now is be as transparent as possible with all of you, and let you know that it's top of mind. Airship Syndicate isn't a huge publicly traded studio that has to make numbers look big to shareholders... we are a close knit studio of gamers who just want to build something awesome
@@sir_snarf And with that, I have no doubt. So far everything that has been shown in the Trailers and 'leaks' has been more than I expected and honestly can't wait to try it for myself. Character Custimization would be nice....Crazy how other games have it but you are tied to these characters, which seems like a cash grab. People like being different from others so if three or four of us have the same character just with diffrent weapons it takes the fun out of being unique.
@@nugsnotdrugs8251 That's not character custimization if we share the same face. That's just grab a character that you and 20 other ppl think look cool and hopefully you don't share the same skinned outfit. That's horrible.
I am loving everything about this game except for the revealed abilities. Four seems limited and the ones that were revealed were very underwhelming. Other than that this might be the only game I play for the foreseeable future.
There is a ton to unlock within wayfinder skill trees to augment how the starter abilities function... not to mention unique weapon abilities which can be equipped to any Wayfinder
I mean Warframe has 4 abilities. They obviously change and function very differently with mods and augments. But still base 4. I'm assuming something similar here.
Yeah that's my biggest concern with the game too I get that Warframes also had 4 but this kind of game needs more than 4 IMO so I hope they add systems to increase that ASAP
Well from the sound of things it is heavily monitized. Preset characters and "character customization" is just numbers you add on a stat page. Which basically means any visual character progression is either weapons and/or your wallet.
All players can unlock new wayfinders just by playing the game, yes the game is F2P, there will be a way to support the game by buying cosmetics to keep the lights on and new content rolling. But Airship Syndicate is committed to keeping the economy free and fair
I don't understand, is it an "MMO" or a multiplayer-ARPG? Does it have a massive open world which everyone (on the server) shares, like WoW/GW2/Runescape. Or does it just have public towns/hubs and then limited instanced zones outside of those hubs... like Diablo, Path of Exile, Destiny, Warframe, etc. There's been a recent trend of companies trying to call things an "MMO" which are clearly much more accurately described as ARPG games with public hubs and maybe a public economy system. (And this isn't just a nuance thing, ARPG is a pretty well documented genre dating back to early Diablo games from before they commonly had multiplayer, if you check the wikis for any of those last four games they'll all call it an "Action RPG"). This recent trend of developers misnaming things as MMOs has been very intentional for some games, it's a form of marketing - so that they can appeal to a different audience. And it works because youtubers/reviewers just regurgitate the marketing terms without checking/thinking whether or not it actually applies. Lost Arc was the biggest recent example, but definitely wasn't the first. More honest devs have just been calling their modern ARPGs "Multiplayer-ARPGs" in comparison to the older single player diablo style games. Because that's what they did, they added multiplayer to the genre, with the ability to party up with friends, and to have social hubs where you can bump into a few other random players in town and show off your fashion. It looks neat, I especially appreciate the goal of making all items obtainably for free, but I'm always concerned about what exactly the monetization will be whenever a developer dances around it. Because they didn't confirm how it is that they will actually be making this game profitable. I'm not a big ARPG fan but I'd definitely give the game a try - the customization of combat options is the main thing that I want to test with, I never expect any game to be PoE levels deep, but I'm hoping there's more variety than diablo still.

i hate the entire concept of engame shit. i can't stand it. make the game. add content or not. move on. games dont need "end game" anything. it's ridiculous.
Games designed to keep going on need end game to survive. "End game" IS the thing all players do after maxing out a character and doing all main story. A game without endgame is basically your typical story based RPG like many single player games...beat it and done
A game intended to be played after base content is beaten 100% needs an endgame to keep ppl playing.... Especially one that's free to play with no retail profits... They're banking on player count and player retention to keep the game running and expand it further there is no "moving on" they intend to stick with this 1 game and keep adding to it. How do you expect they would do that without giving ppl a reason to keep playing beyond base content... Adding to a game costs money, keeping an online game running costs money. End game is literally a requirement for the genre. Without it ppl drop into your free game beat it and drop out. You lose your player base you lose the life blood keeping the game running and have to shut it down with zero profit to show for it. You literally can't make a game like this without end game. Maybe this isn't your genre.
On the one hand, glad that stuff can be earned instead of just being bought only. On the other, I shudder to think what you’d have to do to get the stuff in question. I’m expecting insane challenges, like going flawless in a run or not getting hit for20 minutes or something
