Nothing wrong with gatekeeping it for a while as 3.0 turned into a shit show of people camping banks for a time when everyone could do it.
The bank-breaching era was peak nonpixel
X is 100% right on this seeing random g6 emoloyee,tow trucker,grimer knowing how to rob banks and cars is so dumb like even now 80% of city knows about sewer and window spots of baycity bank for heist

Yeah, not trying to bash the group but I hate how Eugene constantly tries to push the narrative that his group are "civs" yet they're involved in every criminal activity possible at the moment. May cause more work for the PD eventually when half the city cant work, but there should be a hard civ or crim line.
It has always been two or three gangs that have had a chokehold on the city when it comes to criminal activity (especially bigger heists)... are these ppl new to rp?😅

Yeah after the big streamers do the new content, the server will die down and "regular" players will be able to do the new stuff. Plus it benefits No pixel for big streamer to do the heists first for content and rp players can just not watch, though Im sure everyone watches. Also Nopixel 4.0 has 2 public servers, which will probably not receive the big heists update till a month after WL Gets it for this same reason
i mean its time to gatekeep info and progression for high tier crims. everyone else can unlock it eventually its a hierarchy withing rp it just makes sense
They gatekeep because they know the big groups that have been around will take the scuff loses and just keep moving on and trying again till its worked out then everyone gets that while the big groups move on to the next scuff fest
Doing crime as Civs that call cops in every conflict will be funny
Honestly I agree it’d be interesting to see crims be more separated from civ characters for example if they get caught robing a bank they’d loose rep or even get banned from certain jobs

realistically you will need max rep with every crim guy to do a heist so hes right only the most progressed groups will be able to attempt the heists, stop crying and acting like this is somehow a new thing, for like 2 weeks after heists were released in 3.0 only 1 group was doing them
Thats not something you should be proud of, like sure have the banks only be hittable once or twice per storm, but if you wanna rp towards robbing a bank there should be no gates stopping you and your crew. Thats a 3.0 mindset that ended up being shit for the servers health. Its his server so i guess its whatever but...yeah like i said thats not a positive thing he just said.
I think other crews would need to build up a reputation to do big crim jobs instead of a random civ group

He's wrong about that... because 3.0 groups were fed information and given whitelisted money printers. 4.0 is unlocked for everybody at the same time. NOTHING has been given to anybody.
That's because they're trying to promote RP by actually having them gatekeep information instead of resources. It doesn't mean that the big groups can't enforce superiority over smaller groups.

The problem if you dont whitelist is that there will be groups of random people who many not even be criminals who will speed run the heist for content and ruin the build up for everyone else

It was a great thought experiment but in execution absolutely impossible. Dev’s can only work so hard in so much time, and in order for the server to last things have to be drip fed.
