thanks for the feed back, the way the bike is at the moment she will get to 160km with the wind behind you top speed,im going to the TTs in june and have a 4hr bike ride all motorway driving to get to the ferry,i was just trying to find out is it better to have top end...or low end speed??
ive recently bought a 07 zx6r,which is factory restricted i am wondering would you know how this is done and is there anyway to modify the restriction rather than taking it out, because at the moment the guards(police) are stopping bikes to make sure they are restricted,I've tried looking looking it up but all i can find are people modifying the 06 zx6r,no one seems to know about the 07 model,i was told to change the sprockets to get more pick up....would you have any info on this thanks.
just to add to your vid...there is some un burned fuel that gets into the exhaust pipe possibly by the scavaging process in the valves or just by a too rich mix..but instead of just being dumped into the atmosphere, the fresh air is supposed to help the fuel burn off in the catalytic converter...is my understanding. but hey block that shit off if you want bc who cares anyways..smog schmog right?...great video too man
doing sprockets will increase your lower end speed but you will loose your top speed. so your 0-60 will be faster but you wont be able to go over 160... not that anyone can manage that on the roads anyways
is it possible to contact you directly,in relation to modifying a restriction on a K zx6r 07 model or is it possible(i dont mean take it out just want abit more poke)
@boomwa2002 yup you are right but if you ever want to tune the maps your engine you need that unburned fuel to register on your air fuel measurments
no problem man glad you liked it
Great video, awesome step by step, thank you.
