The main thing that makes BAND-MAID so great to me is their balance. No one outshines the other, no one overpowers the other. The worst I've ever heard said about them is when people wish the guitar would be higher in certain mixes.
An old friend asked me why I liked and listened to band-Maid so much. I told him they give me everything I ever wanted musically and do it with excellence. The adorableness is just a much loved extra. The MCs and Omajinai Time's have been great this tour.
This was from one of their live oniine concerts with no live audience, but over 60 countries worth of fans watching them as they performed. And the Ladies will change around their song intros constantly, to keep the music fresh for their fans. There are 3 different intros for their song Play that I am aware of, they probably have worked up a 4th by now. Miku is a MezzoSoprano, so she can go WAY higher than Saiki plus WAY lower. Akane is one of those drummers that every band wants, but only Band-Maid has.
I know you're early on in your BAND-MAID journey but you can already tell that their song writing and arranging is absolute genius. You ARE a Maidiac now! 🤘✌
You nailed it why we love listening to them so much. You have to see them live. The whole crowd singing along to the "OOooooO OoooO" part was fun. Everytime it was MISA's part in a song everyone would cheer.
Yep! They are getting better and better. All Maids are hard working musicians and keep pushing themselves to the next level every year. Even their MC is getting more entertaining than ever (just check fan cam videos of the current US tour😆)!
Yolo which is one of their earliest self penned songs has a fantastic chorus, probably still my favourite chorus. Their ability to write very catchy choruses no matter how hard or heavy the songs are is one of the reasons that they are so listenable
Saiki Atsumi - (SIGH-kee) - Lead vocals, Born Feb 8, 1994 28 years old, 'the Ice Queen'. MISA - (MEE-sa) - Bass, Born Oct 15, 1992 30 years old, 'the Barefoot Assassin'. Miku Kobato (MEE-koo) - Founder of the band, Lyricist, rhythm guitar, backing vocals. Born Oct 21, 1991 31 years old, 'the Small Pigeon' (Real name - Mika Noguchi ) Kanami Tono - (KAH-nah-mee) - Lead guitar, Born Sept 28, 1991 31 years old, the Natural Airhead, Songwriting and Musical Genius, 'Princess' Akane Hirose - (AH-ka-nay) - Drums, Born Dec 14, 1990 31 years old, 'the Gorilla'.
@@kyles5513 No...but...I do know too much about them so I should add that the original colour scheme of their outfits was black and white as that was what Miku wanted to display the Japanese ink painting aesthetic of Sumi-e, where only black and white is usually allowed, though a small spalsh of colour can be used too, like the red and blue roses in Miku's and Saiki's hair.
After a minute of thinking, I got what it stood for, but barely. Lol. I bet you are looking at the like button to figure out how many got this reference.
You are on to it man. You are seeing the musical genius of these women. The writing and arrangement skills, are as much of a skill as their musicianship. So many little Easter eggs throughout their songs. And your little statement about how happy they make you? Well they are my 'Happy Pill' I take every day. Please do a reaction to the 'Manners/Black Hole' live video. Your producers ears will find it hard to understand what you are listening to. But you will work it out.
You want to hear KOBATO sing? Check out their very first MV, THRILL. MIKU and SAIKI take turns with lead vocals there. You are exhibiting the syndrome common to all reactors: their favorite BAND-MAID song is the one they just heard for the first time. BTW, as you can see from the date on this video, NO GOD (from the Unseen World album-amazing from start to finish) came before INFLUENCER (off the Unleash EP).
Somehow this song always causes a system crash in my head. On the one hand, I agree with the title, but at the same time I see 5 goddesses standing there on stage. 😵💫:) _____________________ 【 _Till I return to dust I will stand alone in the dark with my pride at the end of time_ 】--- *Nemophila* - '徒花 -Adabana-' 💮
Miku writes 95% of the lyrics. There are no individual music credits. Kanami writes music on her guitar, copies it to cd's,and sends them to the other members to write their parts. Kanami once said she tries to write 50 new songs every year. She also uses computer technology during the process. I'm really enjoying your reviews.
If you want to know a song that starts with a drum solo, Painkiller by Judas Priest. As for more band-maid tracks, I recommend Manners, a nice groovy number, and my personal favourite. And if you want heavy, then Rinne or Real Existence.
No you're not ,do your homework kanami ( ka-nom- me) the genius behind the composing of the greatest ever the living legends known as band maid strike two
Influencer may be one of my least favorite songs by them, but I gotta say the lyrics are genius. This song by the way is too fn good. Soooo fn good. Edit: I also appreciate your trying to get their names right and not editing afterwards when you know you got them wrong. Real reaction.
This is an incredible song but I have to say.. Are you deaf to the bass? Way more than the drums or anything else this track stands out as having just about the best bass work - EVER- by any bassist. ALL the way through. And you never noticed. And you seem to know most of their names except the bassist- MISA. And in terms of world ranking for their instruments- Misa is for sure higher than all the other members - and may be the worlds best bass player!

Band Maid is 100 years ahead of everyone else. They have everything we want and they mash it all into their songs and somehow it still sounds amazing.
I know you're early on in your BAND-MAID journey but you can already tell that their song writing and arranging is absolute genius. You ARE a Maidiac now! 🤘✌
Your enthusiasm would make them smile.....I hope you continue to enjoy the most dynamic band in rock today.....welcome to the "pigeon" hole..."po"

They play it better now adding a extended intro to the song just for this tour.

YOLO, a single where all 3 sides are A+.
YES!, it is the oldest Band-Maid song as Kanami wrote it before there WAS a Band-Maid.
Misa Misa Misa...bass bass bass
If you really want to see older BAND-MAID go to the channel of P in D and check out his photo collage videos.
Older songs at P in D, are all good, personal favorites, Matchless Gum, Unfair Game, Freezer, Arcadia Girl, Shake That. That's 5 of my top 100 or so.
Every BM song will surprise you. I wanna count how many times you say OMG in one reaction video. 😂

They on tour right now in the US but most show are sold out though
you mean when they go into half time, and then back
MISA MISA MISA!!!!! ok not their "Early stuff" but "Mid stuff" in their "Early stuff" it is Duel Vocals.
You should listen to Sayonakudori where Miku sings lead...or Beauty and the Beast, among others...
If you like the harmonies you will like the music video Blooming.

Miku is more than backing vocal, she sings better than some J pop singers and groups.
