    Good day Lila, thanks again for your amazing videos, i just have few questions :
    1- if i upgrade my laptop hard drive to SSD it increase the premiere pro performance?
    2- what is the LUT and LOG, and how can i use it?
    3- where can i find video filters?

    • @lilafromyoutube
      @lilafromyoutube  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1. I would look into adding more RAM to your laptop. How much do you have now?
      2. LOG is a very flat, no contrast grey-ish look that will give you the most freedom to manipulate colours in post. When you film in a normal profile, the colours are kind of "baked in". You can still adjust them, but not as much as when you film in LOG. LUT is basically a video filter to make your video look a certain way.
      3. Everywhere! You can find free ones or pay for them!

    A tip to get that motionblur is to use the transform effect and do the animation there, uncheck the auto shutter angle, and then type in something like 180, that'll give the motion natural motionblur.

    • @lilafromyoutube
      @lilafromyoutube  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the tip! I usually just toggle the blur animation, the 3 circles. When it comes to text I don’t *always* do it, it depends on how fast the motion is. If it’s too fast I usually don’t do it because I need people to read what is says hahah

    Yes exactly forward or camera zoom without moving or changing the text position.
    Example: I have a video of street stop sign, I removed the statement STOP and replace it with new statement GO . So when the camera moves forward to the song as zoom effect, the word GO keeps moving.i already tried the key frames tracking thru your tutorial but it doesn’t work.Please if you have an other suggestion, I would appreciate it.
    Thank you

    • @lilafromyoutube
      @lilafromyoutube  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Rachid! Sorry for my late reply. The easiest way to do this is in After Effects. I don't have a tutorial on this, but I found this one for you: th-cam.com/video/ma9P4nTVtDs/w-d-xo.html. You can do this in Premiere too but it requires a lot of manual keyframing and like you said it didn't really work for you. If I find a better solution, I will let you know, but so far I think this is your best option!

  • @ZachShurtz
    @ZachShurtz 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    if you want motion blur without having to add it in post add the effect "transform" change shutter angle to 180 and de-select "use composite" and save the edits to the effect as a preset and just drag it onto any clip or png in the future and any positional or scale effects you change within this effect will automatically have motion blur! Plus there are skew effects you can mess around with too. This literally is my go-to super simple! Lastly, another benefit is you can change the original position and scale in the effect controls above and the transform effects won't change so you can move around the whole image and effect. Super effective!

      @lilafromyoutube  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video, Lila! I'd never thought to use motion blur as well, but that makes a lot of sense. Question: I went over and watched the AE version of this as well. If you wanted to add blur in AE as well, is there a way to have AE automatically change the direction of the blur based on the same pick-whip that already contains the tracking data? Like have it calculate the difference between the current point and the previous point, and use that to inform the direction and length of the blur? 🤔

    • @lilafromyoutube
      @lilafromyoutube  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In after effects it's super easy to activate the motion blur. In the left bottom window (With all your layers) click on the 3 overlapping circles. If you hover over it you'll see that it says motion blur. If you don't see it, click on the bottom button that says "toggle switches/modes". And then also click on the 3 overlapping circles above this window, next to the graph editor. I hope this makes sense, it's easier to show you than type it out, but I hope it's clear enough haha.

    • @lilafromyoutube
      @lilafromyoutube  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You don't need to activate the 3 overlapping circles next to the graph editor to get the effect btw. This is just to show the effect when you preview it. If you leave it unactivated, the effect is still applied but you won't see it (helps with the playback speed).

    • @BrianSellers
      @BrianSellers 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lila Cool! Then do you need to drag the pick-whip to the Blur effect, or is AE just super-smart about creating those key frames to make it “realistic” for you?

    • @lilafromyoutube
      @lilafromyoutube  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @lilafromyoutube
      @lilafromyoutube  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, thanks! It really depends on your needs but I would suggest checking out iMovie or Davinci Resolve, or of course Adobe's free trial for Premiere Pro. I'm a huge fan of Premiere Pro :)

    • @ItsLightBTW

      Lila thank you, I use iMovie at the moment but it struggles to cope with a lot of editing on one ‘movie’ so I was looking to swap to computer editing. Yeah I will check out Davinci Resolve, hopefully it will work out.

    Oh, maybe once I'll always do it in after effects) That's great, thank you for the video)) But it's sad, that there is no way to auto-track objects in the premiere(((
    Hope you'll do a video about dynamic links once)

    • @lilafromyoutube
      @lilafromyoutube  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey hey! Yes I wish we could track it automatically too. You can track masks and such automatically in premiere, but not text :(

    • @kamilkp
      @kamilkp 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lilafromyoutube I figured out how to do that automatically in Premiere: track text, graphics and literally anything (without any manual adjustments!). Check out the 3rd most recent video on my channel where I explain that

    "I usually bike vertically..." 😂😂😂 Really great tip, and it opens up some flexibility! I agree - I do think it's easier in AE.

    • @lilafromyoutube
      @lilafromyoutube  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hahaha yeah I don't know why I said that I biked horizontally... like ok lila. 😂 so I try to make these dumb things funny hahaha. It's definitely easier in AE! But I got so many questions and requests for this video that I thought it would be a good idea to make a video about it and then send them right back to after effects because believe it or not... it's easier!!😂
