The new 2024 Winnebago Ekko 22A is built on the Ford Transit chassis is all wheel drive so it’s off-road and off grid. Available at @ColonialRV www.colonialrv.com #campervan #camping #apartmenttour
The MSRP is grossly inflated to approximately $221,000. The actual value is probably around $79,000 to $109,000, depending on features. It may no longer be a good idea to purchase RVs because there have been so many complaints about the build quality post-Covid. Especially recreational vehicles that come from Elkhart indiana. A lady is on TH-cam, her program is called "Liz Amazing," talks a lot about the complaints that people have had for new RVs they just purchased. She discusses build quality, leaks in roofs, uneven floors, screws being driven up through the roof during building of new RVs, all kinds of negative complaints from owners' interviews. In some cases, the RV manufacturers refuse to either follow through on their guarantee or warranty, or the owners don't have access to their RV for many months while repairs are supposed to be transpiring. Liz has even been threatened with lawsuits by some of the supposedly high-quality manufacturers trying to silence her.
Build quality of brick and mortar homes has nose dived since Covid as well. I bought new construction in 2021. My 3rd home. It’s only redeeming thing… just under an acre. Construction is meh. It’s not a forever home.
It seems there are many options right now for higher quality tiny homes made locally and still around $30,000. Facebook seems to have many of these building companies and more growing everyday.
That part of Indiana has nothing around (except meth) and they have problems getting quality labor. Manufacturers have to take what they can get, and it shows.
I think companies forgot that the values of RV's is that they shouldn't cost around the same a house! $221K is insane. At the most that should be around $100K (and that's pushing it). We are still talking about plywood and veneer making up most of the interior. Small sinks, small showers, small bed, small cooktop, etc. Nothing in there is anywhere near the cost of $221K .. not even taking into account the cost of the van itself!
And everything starts breaking down really fast in an RV, because they're NEVER well made. The cabinets in that thing looks like cheap, grey painted plywood, as everything else also looks VERY cheaply made. . And it honestly looks like a frickin sardine can.
I wish you could find a house for 221k…maybe in some states. But yes this is a LOT for a little. My rig was 45k out the door and it’s bigger and nicer. And was brand new in 2022 when I bought it.
@simonmirelez1103 But then if you're the kind of person who showers after using the toilet especially in the morning, you'll need to get out first, move the divider, then step back in. And what if in the middle of showering you suddenly feel there's more coming out? And you have a guest or two in the RV?
It's like MTV on Speed at first, made me dizzy, but now it feels like having Nuro link installed :) and you can, take in all that information this quickly. Some very nice features in this build.
@@joelv4495 wait 3 years or so. I bet it'll be half the cost. Or RENT. No storing, insuring, maintaining, none of it! I would go w either 4-6 window bus/Metro thing. Or a tiny one that fits in a standard garage. Only fiberglass tops, if at all possible. Must fit in regular parking spot. Too bad VW doesn't make a GOOD version of a Westfalia. I'd buy one! Meaning w good heat and A/C. and more...foldable. that's the word. You wouldn't need the sink and such to go shopping, so it would be nice of it were light and had wheels you could roll it w. Flat fold seats would also be nice. I disliked lack of such on EVERY car I had. Price was too high on minivans. They actually priced themselves out.
I just watched a salesman spend 30 minutes fast talking about the outside features of the new Airstream Bambi. All I wanted to see is the inside! Then, he got to the kitchen...teeny sink with a metal faucet at least & the smallest fridge ever. Total waste of time. This guy's GOOD!
That bathroom space was hands down the most incredible use of space I’ve ever seen on an RV. But I’m no professional either. Loved it. Thanks for the share. God bless
As an experienced carlifer (not vanlifer, I'm actually-homeless not gentrifying homelessness lol) I'm glad to see some actual practicality in this design. Too many people think they can sustainably live with a bed that requires significant assembly every night, or only having an always-and-only-outdoors kitchen setup. The pivoting wall for the shower space is a pretty clever notion too.
Dude showed us the whole entire RV in 30 seconds flat. THAT is MY kind of video tour. I half expected him to lay down on the bed and take a 1 second nap too. LOL
As much fun as an RV seems to be, I can't justify it. For me a nice minivan and over 700 nights at a hotel for $200/night plus some camping gear for those off-grid days is a better way to spend my $200k+.
The outside pull out fridge 😮 👌 I'm like "huh, that's smart, you can access it from outside and inside I guess, to save space".... No 😅 mf has another full size fridge inside too 😅
Yeah, that is an apartment on wheels for sure. I really like how they do the bathroom with that divider between the sink and toilet on one side and the shower on the other. That’s pretty clever and handy. It’s really nice. ❤️💜💚
That outside walk-through storage was pretty cool. If it was just a bit taller to where you can stand upright, you could call it an Attached Covered Patio. Place 2 chairs & small table in there.
I really LOVE the Ekko! I grew up with Winnebago and they really knocked it out of the park with this one. The Ekko is even better on the Sprinter chassis. I wish Ford would make a longer chassis so the larger Ekko could be built on a Ford.
Then I'd retire and buy a piece of land, build a tiny home and settle. Affording this means I need at least $25K per yr just for proper upkeep and insurance..
No way I’m seeing a quarter million dollars in this.
NO way is CORRECT!
Check out The Renegade XL!
It’s AMAZING and around the same price 😉👍🏽
650k is not 221k @@lightwarrior432
Agree!! Ridiculously overpriced
Without a two car garage!!!
He skipped the fold out wings

Thank you so much for the information.

....The Cost for these things are Very Over priced.... They will do ANYTHING to get customers! Anything as you can See...

$221k...WHAT?!
The $30,000 Cyber-truck-styles tent-trailer doesn't look so bad.
He’s like a kid whose parent told him not to touch anything.
😂
The new standard for rv walk through demos. Perfect. Price is off so much it’s comical.

@@monicapatton1405 you can definitely find an house for that.
I love the separation of shower and toilet room
I have also noticed the same thing, this is one best I have seen in small van
Agreed.
European train bathrooms are built like that. They are not as good as they seem. Too many moving parts to break.
That's where the $220k price comes from I guess lol

So he's looking for his wallet by the looks of it.
"Did I put my wallet in the microwave? Surely, it must be in the toilet??" HAHA!
Too funny
😂
No, the keys.
While it's in his hand
I wish all RV tour videos were so respectful of my time!
Yes, I would appreciate that. I don't know why it takes to much time to show an RV that is not in use.
Yeah I don’t need to know how to empty the tanks at the end of the season; just show me around!
It's like MTV on Speed at first, made me dizzy, but now it feels like having Nuro link installed :) and you can, take in all that information this quickly. Some very nice features in this build.
Are you a person who gets offended easily?
Absolutely high as fuck....and i mean the people selling this for quarter of a million dollars....like litterally smoking meth kind of high.
They're selling it for that much because people are buying them.
No one pays MSRP for these... RV trader has listings for these at around $170K, brand new. Still a lot, but Winnebago also makes lower priced models.

I did think his eyes at the end looked wonky 😂🤣🤦♀️ was literally wondering what kinda drugs he was on😅
Now THAT is a dadgum RV demo. Thanks for being the one demo guy who doesn't waste 30-45 mins of our time!
It was SO fast though that we missed half of it. It's the other extreme!
Best most fastest detailed tour, now watch it in a slower speed😂
Yes - well done!

Right? That’s what I wanted, not a sales pitch. 😄
Best tour ever. Quick and thorough. Thanks 🙏🏼.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I AGREE…!! ❤️👍🏻‼️
@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures How much would that thing cost? No more than $100,000, right? If it's more, it's so not worth it!!!
I have to admit the bathroom setup is slick. I like the swinging wall separating the toilet from the shower.
I wish i could go do my job this fast and come back home

Very good demo,no talk, it's clear n fast,i like it
This is the BEST DEMO I have ever watched
Haha I love how you show campers! 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
I am impressed this size RV comes with a separate shower compared to a wet bath
I thought this feature was very cool too.
I thought the same thing!! I was out on the bathroom and then back in QUICK when that shower came outta nowhere!!
This guy showed me everything in 30 seconds that other TH-camrs that like to hear themselves talk take a half hour to show me, excellent work!
Dude... Life sucks right now. Putting an MSRP of 221k on that is just ridiculous.
The best rv tour ever. No talk just show. Ty
perfect presentation: efficient, showing EVERY feature, no talking, no stupid music, no waste of my lifetime 😀🖒🖒
That bathroom space was hands down the most incredible use of space I’ve ever seen on an RV. But I’m no professional either. Loved it. Thanks for the share. God bless
Excellent, speedy tour and detailed !!!😊
I have been LOVING these new speed tour shorts!
Short is what you have to be. This guy is lucky if he is 5'2" plus enough of the caffeine trip.
Excellent camper van and excellent tour!!!
Loved the way the tour was done ! Quickly efficiently without music
Really nice! I want one
So, quick presentation 😮 very luxurious caravan 😮 just a Dream 😮
I love this design❤
i absolutely love these videos of yours Patrick!

Beautiful, everything fits perfectly, all the amenities, & comfort.
Now this is a van tour!! Why waste time! Love it😊
OMG 😲 I like it. You'll find me on tour always 😂❤❤❤
That shower made me gasp out loud! This is definitely better than my first luxury apartment in Hong Kong. Especially that bathroom!!
Yeah, best non verbal presentation ever. I just want to see the vehicle, especially the inside and we can talk about the workings of it later. 😊

Why do you keep buying rvs
@georgebonneteau
What is the make? ...of the camper van?
Love the bathroom sink/shower concept. Briliant 👍
I love how he gets to the point.

Two of your best days in life is the day you buy your RV and the day you sell it.
Awesome, magnifi-co😅
Love it... Not wasting a lot of time to show it! 👍🏽🙆🏽
Glad you liked it!
You could get a TOP of the line SKOOLIE with full solar, water for 30 days of off-grid living, and a TON more storage and durability for half of that.
Speed running an rv walkthrough is crazy
Personally I'd be cool with the pullout stove and fridge. Id figure out something to keep the rain off my head to cook some soup or burgers.
Cool idea
Haha! Great comedy sketch!! 😂😂😂 Winnebago has jokes!! 😂😂😂
I really LOVE the Ekko! I grew up with Winnebago and they really knocked it out of the park with this one. The Ekko is even better on the Sprinter chassis. I wish Ford would make a longer chassis so the larger Ekko could be built on a Ford.

I will say this price is high!!! But as a mobile office that thing is near about perfect!! Missing washer dryer but nice!!!
I like, the double step up to the beds, doggies will love that, the bed curtain, simple but great idea, folding toilet wall
I love the separation of cost from reality

Ok now THIS is how you do a tour! Yes sir! Will I ever buy one? Hell no-it would take me 10+ years to make $221k as I’m PT but I do enjoy these 🎉
Best walk thru ever!
Great 👍
Cost WAY too much, but VERY LOVELY and efficient!! I’ll take it!! (If it’s gifted to me!!)
Glad you liked it
Winnebago’s haven’t been good since the 90’s… stuff like this is really starting to PO me BIG time

What sets this apart from so many others, among other things, is water capacity.

I like that the shower is seperate in the bathroom and I like all the storage and that you can have separate beds in the back!
Get rid of the two airline seats behind the driver's seat and redesign that space. This is not made for a family of four, but for a couple.
Like it straight to the point without talking lol.
