Interesting... As a relatively new Arkham Horror player, I'm surprised that Cat Burglar didn't make it to the possible upgrades for Wendy within the core set.
Im a new player but did find that Cat Burglar has been absolute MVP on some of my campaigns. Get out of jail free when enemies get heavy, saves your butt with soaking health AND horror, plus a great permanent buff to foot while he is in the mix *chef's kiss*
Question for you. I’m playing an ally version of Wendy. If you play A Chance Encounter on another investigators discard pile, and then play Calling in Favors, do you still get to search your deck for another ally? I bring this up as I have read that once you play Calling in Favors the ally in play will return to its owners hand.. Thanks.
Saw your comment on our newest list video. arkhamdb.com/find?q=calling+in+favors The faq entry, while referencing entities who don't belong to any player, but it would imply the chosen ally would return to it's owner's hand (the person who's deck it belongs to), and you would still get the rest of Calling in Favors as though if was returned to your hand.
It may get a bit tricky and strain the collection in some areas, but I think it's possible. I'd personally remove Skids from the equation and build for Roland, Daisy, Agnes, and Wendy. As I said there may be some changes and replacing you'll need to do. I'd lean Roland more heavy into the Guardian cards and Wendy heavier into Rogue. (Or Agnes heavier into Mystic with more of a survivor splash).
I'm playing Wendy solo, two core sets only. I almost ditched her after failing with the Ghoul Priest twice, but your best solo characters video encouraged me to give her another shot, and on attempt 3 I took the priest down (backstab + sneak attack combo). So now I have 7 XP. I'm thinking 2 cheaper Leos would be good as I try to get him out asap, and Will to Survive looks very strong. Close Call looks good to stop her getting swarmed by rats (happened on attempt 2). What should I swap out for Will to Survive and Close Call? 2 pickpockets?
I'd personally cut the Scavenging before the Pickpocketing, but it really depends more on what you feel your game plan is. Pickpocketing gives a bit more card advantage to Wendy over Scavenging with a limited collection because of the limited number of items it can bring back vs the amount of times you'll likely get a successful evade off.
The vocal fry of the guy who explains the deck is an unnecessary hindrance added to his bad mic quality. I think it is hard to understand. Thanks for your effort anyway.
I love this series.
Please keep going. Amazing work

Cat burglar is definitely a nice upgrade if you only have the core set yeah
Do you have a current deck list for Wendy with the new cards? Travis has her as S tier and I don’t really get it
These videos are great!

Thanks for the video
I also haven't played her since my first run through Night of the Zealot.
I'd love to hear you talk about your Lola decks from the April Fool's run.
Very helpful
Is it possible to make 4 of these Core Set investigator decks with 2 copies of the Core Set, and if so which 4?

@@PlayingBoardGames Great, thanks for the advice, I'll give that a try!

@@PlayingBoardGames I see, I'll go for that then. I noticed Scavenging was quite hard to trigger... Thank you! :-)

Jep, the first thing I noticed as well
