  • Tag along as I attempt to use a Fujinon B4 studio zoom lens from our old camera system on my new Panasonic GH4 camera. I've not tried it first, so we are going to experience it all together. Will it work? Let's find out.

I've been doing this for years because it's the only way to affordably get a long zoom, parfocal, constant aperture, and smooth motorized zoom. Sure, you can do the same thing with Canon's $30,000 Cine Servo Zoom, but I think the tradeoff with an older ENG lens for under $1000 is worth it.
I have several videos on my tech page, and I founded/run the B4onM43 group on Facebook.

so what did you do with the fotodiox b4 to micro four thirds adapter from the first part of the video? I would have been quite interested to see the results if you had a 2/3 inch lens.

I haven't bought a 2/3 lens yet, but I plan to. I've saved the adapter for when that happens. There will eventually be a followup video. Thanks for watching.

The Magic adapter is just rubbish and ruins the image quality - Photodiox actually admit this too. Better off with a 2x adapter built into the camera lens - this is high quality.
