You know it's a great tutorial when there are no dislikes :) Like I mentioned on another comment (on another video), I think I've seen your videos on reddit. Please create a complete playlist of how to create wordpress + elementor site + gatsby on the frontend, I know I would appreciate it a lot. And "Hi Ava, you're so cute! May you be blessed in all ways possible"
Great video. But to be fair you should compare wp with a cache plugin vs Gatsby. I Wonder if a setup wp+cache plugin isnt faster (install+configure+post content+manage core updates) than wp+Gatsby.
Thanks for your videos, recently implementing Gatsby with Wordpress CMS. I have one doubt, what's the proper way upload the build page of Gatsby and Wordpress? I mean, the wordpress CMS will be in another domain but should be wordpress in the same URL of the Gatsby? To be more clear, I have one page stored in Netlify and I buy a shared server in Bluehost where I have WordPress and I get the data there but with a domain different because I have the DNS configured to Netlify. Any ideas to have this more organized or something? Best regards, Luis.
Question: Would you have to code new pages for every post you make? Elementor is a very customizable tool for wordpress with lots of options and widgets available. Does this mean I'll have to code new layouts for each page layout or is there a way to build this so it automatically lays the page out in gatsby? Thanks!
No, you wouldn't have to create a new layout in Gatsby for every page you create in Elementor. However, with this method, you'd need to re-create each component in Gatsby that you would use in Elementor.
came here to try and understand why a partner is trying to get us to learn gatsby with wordpress... Just stop using elementor!!! That is NOT wordpress 'out of the box' as elementor = bloatware with tons of overhead. Every wordpress guru worth their salt knows Elementor is a complete turd... Use Wordpress blocks (which have come a long way since this video was made) and load overhead almost disappears and you don't have to go headless and custom. never heard a use case that lazyload of images implies a poor UX... but ok.
Would love to see some more chapters on this playlist to actually build a full site with Elementor and gatsby 😍🙏🏾
That little baby killed it.
