I really enjoy the way Jeremy Riddle and Bethel treat this great song, I only have one question: What does "let it open up" mean? Does he mean "heaven and nature," or our heart, or "every heart?" I am a Christian and a worship leader, so I'm familiar with worship music. It still isn't clear to me after listening to this 8 times. Later on he says "we open up to receive our King" so that may be the answer?

As we sing it we sing to ourselves and to each other, encouraging each other to drop our guard, our walls, fears, disappointments, hurts, lack of trust, and just be open to let God fill our hearts with His presence, love, joy, peace. His kingdom come in our hearts. The King residing in us.

Gonna nerd out a minute. He's got some incredible compression on his mic. he backs up 2 feet and it's still present? He keep throwing his head back too. Man what kind of compression are they using?
Yeah, this is one of the only times I've thought that he's Lip Syncing. Bethel has a huge budget though, so the tools they have at their disposal is technically endless. Although though, there are parts where he's going off script and his mic is live, so...I'm not sure. But if you have proper gain structure and a high compression ratio of like 6:1, with a fast attack and release, you could probably mimic this fairly closely. Not to mention he's using (what looks like) a KSM9, so he's got a killer mic as well.
They had a demonstration at Sweetwater's worship connect in which they demonstrate a dynamic compression plugin they use (i.e., compression level changes based on the input of the mic/his distance from the mic, and adjust the level accordingly). Truly fascinating, and works excellently.
