Omg! I recommended this, thank you so much for reacting!!! This is one of the hidden gems from the genshin fan creators, and I love it so much. It always makes me want to cry, especially since I’ve played the game for 2.5 years she feels like a long time friend. I think she’s talking about putting a Cecilia on traveler, not the flower that’s in her hair (which is an inteyvat as we found out), but metaphorically to signify how much she cares for us beyond her words. In most of the cutscenes, Paimon really is there for us! Even if she can’t help, it doesn’t stop her from trying to reach us, when we fell in Liyue, during Childes battle, trying to wake us up in Inazuma when we confronted Scara. She is tiny and helpless but she stays with us throughout all the dangerous shenanigans we get caught up in haha. Anyways, thank you again and I’m glad you enjoyed :)

They do that a lot in the menu voicelines and both are such trolls sometimes towards other people. Like at the end of the journey if we are leaving with our sibling, I feel like Paimon will be the one character traveller will have a hard time saying goodbye to.

If you think that Traveler insult Paimon because he doesn't care for her... Well, you half right, half wrong. Traveler for thw most time don't want to make connections in this world ... I mean DEEP connections. Like... To find love... Have a family... Babies... And stuff like that... He doesn't want to stay in Teyvat after findibg his sister. So he for the most part doesn't think about Paimon as someone dear to his heart. The first time he thinks about her in this way is in the Caribert story, when he says that he missed her and hugs her. But on the other hand - Traveler doesn't joke with Paimon to offend her, he just ... Well .. play with her? You know, without being serious... And Paimon knows that. If you listen to the voicelines in character menu between Aether and Paimon, you can see that she knows that he's just playing, joking and doesn't take him too seriously. Although she doesn't like his jokes sometimes because of her childish personality and we know that children can take jokes too close to heart. But aside from the jokes, Traveler tries to protect Paimon and sees her as a little kid who lost his parents and needs some grownup near her. I think their relationships are going to a direction of "older brother and little sister".

They often joke about each other but they refuse to ask awkward questions to each other and leave certain things unsaid, for example the traveller has so far refused to ask what Paimon is in a serious manner, whenever anyone asks the traveller makes a joke to brush it off but it happens EVERY TIME and at this point its clearly intentional on their part. Paimon doesnt know who she is fully and doesnt wanna press the topic too hard, and when others put her in a peculiar situation they tend to protect her in these subtle ways. Also if you havent done many world quests or side quests you may not have picked up on this but when the traveller and paimon are alone, you pretty much only have kind or slightly snarky remarks and paimon often asks you questions of self doubt such as "Traveller am I an Idiot?" or asks if she's too greedy what whatnot, I'd assume I'd get jokes as a response such as "You can be pretty dumb sometimes" or "Your greed for treasure if only second fiddle to your gluttony" but instead you are given only reassuring responses. On the other hand infront of others the traveller makes jokes at paimon's expense and Paimon doesnt talk seriously most of the time.
Paimon is super cute. _Everybody_ loves Paimon. I reckon those who say they hate her are boys finding a way to deny affection for cuteness which they think makes them look weak. ps: Paimon hiding from creatures hundreds of times bigger and more dangerous than her doesn't make her a wimp. Traveller would do the same. No one's Traveller ever battles with creatures more than twice his strength. More usually the max enemy strength is about one fifth stronger.

Paimon is the real star of Genshin. She has the most voice lines and interacts with everyone. What annoys me about her most is her English VA - it's so screechy it sometimes hurts my ears. And sometimes she is very rude and even callous (you'll see this later on in Fontaine). But I'm glad you like her as it makes your journey more enjoyable.
