Lol...this looks more like post-war era than the late 80s. I'm an 80s gal and from the countryside too, but we weren't this progressively behind.😂 I'm pretty sure 1987 China isn't like this too. This is the 2nd version of this story I've seen, both from different eras tho but exactly the same plot. I'm not particularly fond of this story but i always end up finishing it. This is another good one! The casts did well.
I started watching a similar drama but I haven't finished it yet. I'm wondering if the original wife was always like this or if she changed after she got married and had the children. Edit So it turns out the kids aren't her biological kids. Maybe the situation was too stressful for the original owner looking after someone else's kids.
